Elstow Manor is a really lovely care home, and both my parents have been living there since February. The staff have been really friendly, kind and welcoming - helping them to adjust to their new home. The facilities are wonderful, and I have been amazed at the extent of interesting activities provided. My mum and dad have very different health issues so need to be on different floors, but I have been very grateful for the flexibility of the staff in helping them spend time together. I have really appreciated all the support my parents have been given and would highly recommend the home.
What a lovely thing to read - and how nice to know your parents have settled so well since February. Helping a couple stay close when their needs sit on different floors is exactly the kind of thing our team cares about getting right, so it means a great deal that you've felt that flexibility and...
When mum was admitted, it was all new to us (the care system). Hamberley couldn't have been any better. Friendly staff, clean rooms and lovely atmosphere. Mum is looked after and is happy. What more could we ask for,
We are very grateful for your lovely review and praise all round . Our team are outstanding in care and everyone that come through our doors get the best experience and respect . You are always welcome .
Customer services manager focused on potential new resident to obtain full history and details which were essential to identify individual needs and priorities for care and support. Excellent follow-up processes. Care staff extremely diligent and polite. Excellent activities. Excellent food. My sister loves her new 'home'.
We thank you for your kind works and appreciate your time in telling us all about your lovely sister . We are so happy how quickly she settled in and how happy she is to stay here . We love our time spent with her and look forward to always welcoming yourselves and other visitors .
The care my mum received was amazing. The staff were all so friendly and happy and they made us all feel very welcome. Mum has various health issues but they looked after her so well and made her comfortable. The home was modern and felt like a home and there were lovely facilities for residents and visitors, including entertainment. I would not hesitate to recommend Elstow Manor to anyone - first class staff and care. Professional but friendly and welcoming!
Thank you Christine for your lovely kind review and thank you for allowing us to get to know and care for your dear Mum . She will be missed by many and we wish you well .
Elstow Manor looks after my mother-in-law very well. All staff are friendly and attentive when my wife and I visit. We like attending when there is a function happening. If cakes are provided, they make special dairy free cakes so I can enjoy them too. The staff are second to none.
Thank you Richard for leaving a kind and detailed review of your experience here at Elstow Manor . We are very happy that you are happy with everything we do here for your mother in law and yourselves . You are always welcome .. especially for the cakes !
Cannot praise the home or staff too highly. Relative short time resident Beryl was resident, she always received 5 star care. The family were treated like one of 'The Manor' family. Outstanding in every respect.
We thank you for taking the time to leave us a shining review about the experience you felt here at Elstow Manor . Kindness costs nothing and we are here to support our residents and families at all times . We will often remember Mum with fondness .
It provided us with great comfort to know that she was being so well cared for not only physically but also mentally with the variety of different activities available for the residents.
The staff are amazing, truly caring for each other and their residents. When Nan well ill towards the end of her life they also made us feel so loved and made every effort to respect her wishes. I cannot thank the team enough for all their care and support and would highly recommend them.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a kind review about your experience here at Elstow Manor for your dear Nan. We are blessed that you saw how much we care about every resident here in our home from every aspect from the care, dignity to the wellbeing . All the team loved your Nan and we wish you well . Thankyou for recommending .
Staff always helpful, cheerful and welcoming. The home is bright and nicely presented. Menu choice is good and plenty of activities. If I needed a home in the future, this is a good option.
Thank you for kind comments about Elstow Manor . The team work very hard to maintain our standards delivering the best service .You are always welcome here .
Activities can be excellent, my only concern is that some 'celebrations' are perhaps expensive, and the recent fee increase is significant. (please don't call it an 'uplift' - not a good word choice!)
Many thanks for your appreciation and comments regarding the experience of the care for Mum here at Elstow Manor . Your comments will be passed on to the team .
After 7 months with Dad in Elstow Manor, we, and he, are as happy as we were right from the start. The staff are all caring and welcoming - they made it very easy for Dad to settle in. There is entertainment provided almost every day for anyone who wants to join in. Food is good and residents are given the chance to influence what is on the menu. There garden is developing nicely. Dad's health has improved since being there. The family are all pleased that we chose this home.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a positive review . Dad has settled so well and we all love his personality and kindness . We are very grateful that you chose Elstow Manor and for the opportunity to care for your Dad.
The staff are all professional and caring and the facilities are well maintained.
The only reasons that we have moved my mother to an alternative care home after her stay at Elstow Manor are (a) location - her new care home is much closer to our family home and (b) cost - unfortunately not many people have a limitless budget, so we had to make a decision to move to a cheaper care home which still provided excellent care but maybe not at the "5 star" level of Elstow Manor. This was obviously a difficult decision and in no way reflects on the staff, who are all, in the main, excellent.
Thank you for kind review and we are already missing your lovely Mum and wish her well . We appreciate location is important for families and we are grateful for the time we got to know Mum while she was here . Understandably , cost is a key element with placing into a care home and we pride...
Mum has always had excellent care at Elstow Manor, she was there for nearly 4 years I was never worried about any care issues as I new they were all met, I chose this home as it was modern, clean bright and did not smell of urine, no sitting in a horrible room in a circle waiting to die, happy atmosphere through the home, plenty going on every day, and when she was well she had trips out that was included in her care fees. Peace of mind is so important for family members that your loved one is happy and cared for. I went in anytime and mum was always clean. Would highly recommend this home.
Thank you for your lovely review detailing your genuine gratitude. We adore all our residents as well as families and visitor's and we work so hard to maintain high standards . The team are thankful that you chose to bring mum here and we all have so many wonderful memories of her .Pop in anytime for a coffee & chat when you are passing .
Amazing friendly service, even under the pressure my mother gives them.
A huge thanks for taking the time out to leave a review to appreciate the friendly service we provide . Every resident is special in our eyes and we care with dignity and care . Please pop in for a coffee anytime .
I was supported wth hteir information and support as we enabled Margaret to move and settle in.
Margaret was treated with dignity and kindness. Thank you all.
We thank you for your lovely review and we were honoured that we were able to support Margaret in time of need . We are grateful that you recognised the care and dignity we were able to support Margaret with and thanks also to her immediate network of friends/ neighbours who visited regularly .
Friendly staff. Good food. Nice and clean.
We thank you for leaving us a review following the respite stay of your loved one . You are welcome to come visit any time .
Staff were very good on the day of arrival for start of stay in ensuring she was not distressed by my departure. The standard of care remained good in that she was content and relaxed and clearly had enjoyed her stay.
Food that I saw and sampled was good and daily activity schedule looked varied.
I would have no qualms about using Elstow Manor again for respite care.
We are so glad you chose Elstow Manor for your wife we are grateful you saw how well cared for your wife was whilst you were away . We look forward to your next respite stay and also you know you are welcome anytime .
Elstow Manor is so clean. The staff are lovely. My grandad is so well cared for.
Thank you for recognising how wonderful our home is and your Grandad has settled so well into his new life here . We appreciate your time and look forward to seeing you again soon .
It was my uncle's birthday. We as his local family met at the home to join him for tea. Reg was so happy when a present from the manor arrived at his room, and then a cake arrived. It really made his day. This is just one item of many that the manor team have put on. Thank you.
We are so pleased that you can see how hard we work to make all our residents feel at home . Everybody living here gets a birthday present and a birthday cake ! Having the opportunity to enjoy an afternoon tea with your loved one makes the experience even better . Thank you for leaving us a kind review .
Any concerns or suggestions I have are welcomed and I feel that I and the management/staff are all working towards the best outcomes for the residents.
(I would be happy to discuss ways of improving further.)
Thank you so much for your valued review and comments . It is rewarding to see all the positives in your experiences within the home and the care of your loved one and that of all our residents , staff and families . Moving a loved one into care is a difficult decision for anyone and we are glad you made the choice of Elstow Manor .
Elstow Manor cared for my mother-in-law for the last month of her life, and hers and our experience was exceptional. As soon as we met Ramona and Nancy, we knew this was the best place for her, and it was. I had recommendations from friends who had had family members there, and seeing they had been awarded "outstanding" for care was the decider. We and she found everything outstanding, her room, her care, the food and most importantly, the wonderful staff. A truly outstanding home from home. Thank you.
Thank you for taking the time out to leave such a kind review at a time when you have experienced the loss of your lovely Mum . We appreciate your kind acknowledgement that every aspect of your experience here was outstanding and we will pass this on to the team with our thanks . Thank you for choosing Elstow Manor .
