Such an amazing and refreshing place for Auntie’s respite care. From first contact through to leaving to go home, the care of the homemakers and all the Elstow Manor team has been superb. The ‘about me’ document was a great tool to learn about the individual receiving care and making sure of tailored support. The manor is bright and airy and the rooms extremely comfortable. The food is outstanding. Thank you so much for everyone’s care and hard work.
Thank you for your wonderful review - we are incredibly proud of our dedicated team.
We recently used Elstow Manor to provide respite care for my mother who has very advanced Alzheimer’s. Her care needs are high as she is bed-bound and needs help with all feeding and personal care. We have never used a care home before and have been so impressed by the level of care she received during her stay at Elstow. The staff were so kind, gentle, and patient with her. We will definitely be using Elstow again for respite care.
Thank you for such a lovely review. We are so looking forward to welcoming your mother here again.
Dad has enjoyed his second respite visit. He has made some great friends - residents and nurses. Nursing care was excellent and he enjoyed the activities - carving pumpkins, drawing, the cinema to name a few.
Thank you for such a lovely review and we are happy that your Dad loves the time he spends with us. He is welcome anytime and is a great character.
When we realised that mum would no longer be able to live independently I had a sense of relief when we found details of Elstow Manor, a new purpose-built care home at Wixams near to the Bedford bypass. A tour of the care home started in the attractive reception area overlooking a pretty garden area, we liked the multiple different sized seating areas in different aspects of the building and the concept of homemakers supporting residents. Since moving to Elstow Manor, mum has settled very well, staff are kind and caring, the clinical team have been thorough asking to liaise with mum's new GP practice. The high standards and quality provided at Elstow Manor is exactly what we wanted for our mum.
Thank you very much for taking the time to leave us a wonderful review for Elstow Manor. We love seeing mum's beautiful smile and feel very privileged that you chose Elstow Manor to be mum's home. She does indeed love walking in the garden and we have such a lovely space to get some fresh air and exercise with our homemakers or indeed yourselves. I will pass your kind words across to the team.
Since my mother moved into Elstow Manor we have been very happy with the care she has received. All the staff and management have been very caring, kind, professional, and communicative.
Many thanks for taking the time to leave such a kind review and we appreciate this hugely. We are pleased that mum has settled in so well and it is our pleasure to say she is part of the family here at Elstow Manor already. I will pass your comments on to the team and thank you for choosing to bring mum to our new home as one of our first residents.
Elstow Manor is a beautiful facility with very caring staff. My dad was discharged there from hospital and is thriving! His room is like a luxury hotel room and the food is excellent. He is a hard-to-please elderly man who has settled brilliantly and is gaining much-needed weight. I can't thank the staff enough for the excellent care he receives.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a positive review for Elstow Manor. It is a delight to be able to care for your dad as he is such a lovely man and we are so happy to have him here as part of our family. I will pass your comments onto all the team here at Elstow Manor.
The building is wonderful. Parking and access are good. The quality of care is very, very good and the staff who make the place a comfortable, secure, and dignified place to stay are outstanding.
Thank you so much for your lovely kind review. It was our pleasure to have mum stay with us on both occasions and she is welcome again anytime. I will pass your lovely feedback onto the team at Elstow Manor.
Elstow Manor is more than you expect from a care home. The building, decoration, facilities etc are all wonderfully thought out and when you walk in it feels like a luxury hotel, and you are welcomed with a lovely, warm greeting which makes you feel at ease straight away. The staff are all amazing, knowledgeable, patient, kind, and caring. Nothing is too much trouble. My father suffers with dementia, so it was always going to be difficult to settle him into a different environment. I was expecting it to be 2-6 weeks before he started to settle, but within 3-4 days he was quite settled and relaxed which is a great testament to all the staff. Apparently, the food is restaurant quality but better! I would not hesitate to recommend Elstow Manor to everyone and of course all the other Hamberley Care Homes. The fact they follow a different approach with the homemakers and being flexible with dining times/options makes it much easier for residents to feel at home.
Thank you so much for your wonderful comments - we are incredibly proud of our fantastic team.
