Mum spent four weeks in restbite. Well she had a wonderful time. Mum said she was well looked after and that was evident when we all visited her. She has a few care needs and these were taken care of perfectly. I was concerned she would not be dressed in her usual matching clothes but I did not need to worry. Mum always looked perfect. We have to say the accommodation was 5 star. The food was lovely, Mum enjoyed every meal. Mum met and was cared for by some wonderful people and has said she looks forward to her next visit! That is all we as her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren could ask for. Thank you for your help and consideration every step of the way from our first viewing to mums first and last day. We would say the care has reflected in the costs. Thank you so much.
Thank you for expressing such kindness in your detailed review. We loved your mum being here and hope that we have the opportunity to have her stay with us again when needed. Please keep in touch and pop in with Mum one afternoon for coffee and cake in our Bistro. We would love to see her again.
Having visited many residential homes during my working life. I was very concerned when my husband had to go into care due to dementia. I needn't have worried as the staff at Elstow Manor are so kind and considerate. All the staff talk to him and listen to his nonsense so he feels valued and amongst friends. They are able to let him do what he wants, without confrontation which keeps him content and stops him from becoming frustrated. I am very pleased with the standard of care which enables me to leave him knowing that he is happy and well looked after.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a positive and honest review. We are glad that you chose as a family Elstow Manor for your husband and love the connections he has made within the home with other residents and staff alike. Your kind review will encourage other families when deciding on a care home for their loved ones.
My uncle moved in following the death of his wife and has settled in well. The staff are friendly and caring. The food is good and the general layout of the home and the gardens gives him the chance to be sociable or to spend time quietly in his room. On the whole, a good place to retire to.
We are so pleased how well your uncle has settled in and he loves to get his daily exercise in, which is good to see. We value all our residents and are thankful that you have taken the time to let us have your kind thoughts and feedback. We look forward to seeing you soon.
Overall, it's been a very positive experience. My dad stayed for respite for four weeks. The staff, on the whole, were kind, compassionate and caring. Management and support were superb. The facilities were excellent.
Thank you for leaving a review for Elstow Manor. We are always appreciative of positive reviews such as this and are supportive to the needs of Dad. We will continue to support your family with kindness, compassion and professionalism. I will pass your thanks on to the team.
My mum moved into Elstow Manor a few months ago. Understandably, it took a while for her to settle, but now she tells us it feels like 'home' and she is very happy there. She has a lovely room and outdoor patio with her pots and flowers. Caring staff are on hand to provide all the care she needs or enable her to keep her independence, where she can. She enjoys the luxurious spa baths, the regular hairdresser visits and is starting to engage with more of the activities available for residents to participate in. It has been especially beneficial for Mum to have daily access to qualified nursing staff who are able to sort out any health issues very promptly and seem to have very good links with the local GPs. All of the staff and residents are lovely and Mum is starting to build great relationships with them as they get to know her. It is always a pleasure to visit her at Elstow Manor and it is an enormous relief to the family to know she is safe and cared for 24/7.
May I take this opportunity to thank you for such a lovely honest review. We know Mum was a little unsure about coming into the home and it is clear that she has settled in so well and loves being here. The benefit of having her own patio meant that she can still enjoy her love of the birds and her...
My aunt, well Godmother, got to a stage in her life where she needed full-time care. Having been to hospital and then discharged to a care(less) home she moved here. You could not find anywhere that cared and made her happier. The help and communication were exemplary, taking the time to set up a video call to speak to my 92-year-old mother was so wonderful. Such a shame we are so far away but so grateful I know she is being looked after.
Thank you for taking the time to review Elstow Manor. We adore your Godmother and will certainly arrange regular video calls with your own mother. Having such a positive review helps other care seekers when deciding upon a home. I will pass this on to our team.
Very pleased with the care and attention my mother receives. Everyone is so kind to her and if there is a problem they inform me straight away. This is a lovely home and is kept beautifully. I could not ask for anymore better for my mother.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a lovely review and the team welcomes and appreciates such positive comments. The pleasure is all ours as having mum here makes our days special too.
I have nothing but praise for all of the staff, facilities and organisation of Elstow Manor. My mum and the family were very concerned when Mum went into Elstow Manor, but after just a few weeks she had settled very well. The homemakers are all lovely and mum doesn't want for anything. The food is excellent and mum has said it's like staying in a 5-star hotel. Although when she first arrived there weren't many residents, the staff still made sure that there were plenty of things to do including quizzes (Mum's favourite), singers, a pianist and several visits from people with their dogs and other animals. The outside space is lovely and Mum is lucky enough to have her own little patio area with outside seating.
Thank you so much for leaving such a lovely review and for being so specific about all we do at Elstow Manor. We all adore your Mum and it genuinely is our pleasure to be able to look after her.
Mum, has been living at Elstow Manor for the past few months. Mum has been in other care homes in the past for short periods for respite care. Elstow Manor is by far the best home she has stayed in. Given the home has only just been constructed, the facilities are excellent and modern - accessible bathrooms, wide corridors and spacious seating areas. There are also plenty of spaces for us to visit and see Mum, including an easy-access garden and downstairs cafe (seating area). The staff are friendly and seem to understand how to take care of Mum and look after her. We have no personal experience of the food, but Mum seems to enjoy it. Would recommend to others.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a kind review about Elstow Manor. The team work tirelessly to ensure all our residents are well cared for and it is lovely to hear that you appreciate our efforts. We are blessed that you say it is the best care home Mum has stayed in. Thank you.
My Dad moved to Elstow Manor a year ago, he had been in a previous home but this was not a nice place. I contacted Elstow Manor to enquire, the staff at this time were so helpful. On the day my Dad moved in the staff were so welcoming he immediately settled and I feel so grateful for that. People do not understand the worry and stress it causes having to put a parent in a care home. I was so so stressed out. The staff kept me updated with his progress and I could actually kiss the manager for all she has done for our family. When we visit my Dad now it is a pleasure, my Dad who has dementia believes we meet him in a bistro. My Dad only ever says nice things about the home so you know he's happy. He recently had an Assessment and he told the social worker 'I have stayed in hotels all over the world but this is the best'. My Dad is sometimes difficult due to his mental health but unlike in the previous home, I don't feel responsible or like I should apologise for his behaviour. Thank you.
Thank you. It's our absolute pleasure to have the honour to look after your dad and that you chose Elstow Manor makes us privileged. He is a lovely, interesting man. We know it's not always easy when having to make choices on behalf of our loved ones but a testament as lovely as yours is very special to hear. Thank you from all the team at Elstow Manor.
My father-in-law is a resident here. The care that he receives is beyond excellent. I have never seen him happier. Visiting him is so relaxing and he thinks it's "the best hotel he has ever stayed in". Thank you for looking after him so well.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a positive review about the care at Elstow Manor. We have a wonderful team in place and our residents are our family. I hope this helps other families having to make a choice on a care home a much easier decision. It is our pleasure having your father-in-law brighten our days.
Elstow Manor has been great for looking after my elderly Mum. The rooms are fantastic as are the daily organised activities and the meal times. All the staff are very helpful. The decor of the entire building is extremely tasteful and well maintained.
We thank you for such a kind review. We pride ourselves on every aspect of the care from the cleanliness of the home, the meals prepared and the activities organised. These are behind the scenes from the daily care of our homemakers and nurses so all in all we have a wonderful team to offer the best experience. Thank you again.
My godmother had a stroke, was in another care home for 11 months and there was no improvement of her speech and memory and she moved here just over 2 weeks. She is happier and able to make more conversation and remember my name. Elstow Manor is a very welcome, friendly place. I felt very welcome on every visit. Well done to all the staff and thank you for the hard work.
Thank you for such a kind review. We are so happy that your Godmother has settled so quickly and is already feeling at home. Our whole team go above and beyond to ensure our residents get the attention and care they need. Thank you from us all at Elstow Manor and see you soon!
Wanted to celebrate my 60th birthday with my mother (resident at Elstow Manor) and family. Lovely dining room and excellent high tea was organised for us - highly recommend the catering provided and such a lovely setting. Thank you Elstow Manor staff!
Thank you for taking the time to leave a thoughtful review. We are very pleased that you enjoyed our private dining experience at Elstow Manor and that we were able to accommodate your family celebrations with your mother. I will pass your thanks on to our Chef and our team.
Very friendly and caring staff. Home beautifully decorated and clean.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a lovely review. We work hard to ensure our residents are well cared for and happy. We are happy that you saw the home in the same light.
My mother has just returned home from staying at Elstow Manor for 5 weeks for Respite Care whilst we were away. She was worried about going in and being 'bored', but in fact was very happy there. It was air-conditioned and therefore cool inside the building during the very hot weather. The homemakers were truly excellent - really caring and kind, giving time to the residents. The food was great quality with fresh vegetables and with lots of fruit available throughout the day plus fresh fruit salads as options for desserts. There were activities planned - like baking, quizzes, entertainment and exercise classes, and a beautiful garden to walk around and sit in - and as the garden wraps around the building, there is always somewhere sunny and somewhere shady. Medication changes were managed well and communicated. To improve further: 1) empty bathroom bin and dust and clean bedroom more regularly. 2) enable a direct phone call to the bedroom rather than going through reception.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a positive review with such detail. We appreciate this and will help other families when deciding upon a home for their loved one. We have taken note of your comments to ensure rooms are checked and cleaned daily and the phones are now set so that...
Our sister/sister-in-law seems very settled and happy. All of the staff that we have met are so lovely and caring. We feel that our relative is in a happy and safe environment.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a kind review and the staff here work tirelessly to ensure all our residents are happy and well cared for. Your review will be valuable to assist other families when choosing a care home for their loved one. You are welcome to visit any time.
A wonderful, near and caring place. A very well decorated building with very interesting common rooms for the residents.
Thank you for such a kind review. We thrive to give the best experience here at Elstow Manor and to receive such positivity, it indeed helps other families make the decision easier when choosing a home for their loved one. Thank you.
I have always found a pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff, especially now the care home has become well established.
Thank you for leaving Elstow Manor such a positive review. We are pleased that Elstow Manor has grown into such a well led and happy home for all our residents, visitors and staff.
Very caring management and staff.
Thank you again for taking the time to let us know how we did. We hope you have a great day!
