My father-Law arrived at Hindhead place and from that moment he did not want to step inside
Janyce and Becs came out to welcome him. They eventually eased him into the building and showed him around. He seemed to calm down. They were wonderful with him. Give him plenty of time to settle in
He went
to the first floor and was shown to his room where there was tea and sandwiches and cakes waiting for him. He settled in extremely well
The staff were amazing with being very patient and kind to him.
I can't thank Hindhead Place staff enough for all there help in settling him in.

I was anxious about mums first stay for respite care, but I couldn't have been more happy. From the minute we entered, we were treated like family. Having worked in a caring setting myself. I was struck by the 'whole team' approach with everyone going out of their way to make mum's stay as enjoyable
as possible. Nothing was too much trouble, and the place was spotless. We will be looking for further respite in future and just hope we are able to return to Milngavie. Thank you.

Delighted with the recent respite care experience at Milngavie Manor. My mum had never been for a break before, so all of us were anxious about what to expect. We needn't have worried as the staff, management team and facilities were everything we could have wished for. Mum was looked after with care,

My experience with this care home has been nothing short of excellent. From the very beginning, the staff have been welcoming, kind, and genuinely attentive to residents' needs. It is clear that residents are treated with dignity, respect, and real compassion at all times.
The care team are professional,
patient, and knowledgeable, and they take the time to understand each individual as a person rather than just a resident. Communication with family members is clear and reassuring, which makes a huge difference and provides real peace of mind.
The home itself is clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with a warm and homely atmosphere. Activities are thoughtfully planned to keep residents engaged, active, and happy, and the meals are nutritious, well presented, and enjoyed by the residents.
I cannot thank the staff enough for the care, kindness, and dedication they show every day. I would highly recommend this care home to anyone looking for a safe, supportive, and caring.

Our dad moved into Cambridge Grove 4 months ago. He has been so happy since he arrived which has been such a relief to all of us. It is an incredibly hard decision to place a vulnerable parent in care but he is so well looked after here and we get to enjoy spending time with him, taking him out and
just hanging out with tea and cake.
The facilities are excellent, the food is excellent and the staff are wonderful.
I will always be grateful that we found Cambridge Grove when we did. It has been an incredible community through a difficult time and allowed us to experience much more joy in this precious time.

Nesbit House Care Home

from Derek B (Husband of Resident) published on 7 May 2026

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My wife, who suffered from dementia, became a resident of Nesbit House in April 2025. Although my wife's initial reaction to being in a care home was challenging for the staff, it was a situation that they were clearly used to dealing with. Thanks to their kindness and dedication she settled down and
remained a resident until she passed away in January 2026.
Apart from the excellent quality of her care, I was very impressed with the involvement of the staff at all levels. The interaction with them and the overall atmosphere in the home, was always very friendly.
I was also impressed with the online reporting controls that were in place, which enabled all staff from the manager down, to be aware of everything that was going on with my wife's care. Any issues that arose would be quickly dealt with.
Reply from Charles Knowles, Home Manager at Nesbit House Care HomeThank you for the review, the team that were involved in the various aspects of care will all be touched by your kind words. The care journey is never something that is easy and we still refer to your involvement and engagement all the way. We are privileged and humbled that we were able to assist your family in this way. You all really had such a presence in the home your absence continues to be felt

Milngavie Manor Care Home

from Geraldine B (Daughter of Resident) published on 7 May 2026

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My Dad has been a resident in the care home since early February '26. He was hesitant with his new surroundings for a few weeks. I would say he has now settled very well. For him, the knowledge that carers are available at all times is an assurance. He seems to enjoy his meals very much and the home
have ensured this is a social time for him by thoughtfully sitting him with other residents who will chat to him. The carers go about their busy roles with smiles, always a hello and have quickly understood my dad's needs and how to engage with him. The range of activities is tremendous and the residents are encouraged in a kind way to take part.

As a new care home visitor, the home is a pleasure to visit. The Managers and staff are very welcoming, approachable and available. They have responded to my requests efficiently and provided support and reassurance.

Reply from Esther Sheppard, Regional Sales Manager at Milngavie Manor Care HomeThank you so much for your kind review. We're delighted to hear your dad has settled in well and is enjoying both the care and the social side of life at Milngavie. Charrington Manor Care Home

My mother moved to the Charrington Care home almost 3 years ago. She settled in so well and really loved all the care staff, they were like family and friends to her. She loved the activities, music and the day trips. She was treated with care, dignity and respect throughout her time at the Charrington
and as her condition became worse the staff tended to her changing needs with that same dignity and respect. My mother passed away more recently where the team continued with their excellent care and supported us as a family in the most respectful way. I dont think we could have faulted anything throughout my mums stay. Fabulous staff and caring management team - absolutely first rate!
Reply from Simona Varga-Pali, Home Manager at Charrington Manor Care HomeThank you so much for taking the time to leave such a kind review of our home. It was truly a privilege to support your mother during her time with us. We are deeply committed to providing exceptional care, and your thoughtful feedback will be shared with the entire team.

We recently moved from another care home and are much happier with the levels of staffing and general calm, welcoming environment and atmosphere over the previous (which was at the same price point and highly regarded in the area). The team are fantastic, the home is very clean and we are pleased we
made the decision to move.

We are delighted to hear that you have found our home to be a calm, welcoming environment and that the levels of staffing and support have made such a positive difference.
It is especially pleasing to know that both our team and the cleanliness of the home have stood out to you. Moving care homes can be a significant step, and we are so pleased that you feel the decision has been the right one. Thank you again for your kind words and support.

We selected Edwalton Manor for mum as it was clear from our visit that the level of care and facilities were excellent. She was made to feel welcome and the staff do everything to meet her needs. They are kind and attentive, and make family to feel as welcome. Mum is eating well and her medical needs
are looked after. I cannot recommend Edwalton Manor more highly.

I cannot speak highly enough about this nursing home. From the moment you walk through the doors, there is a genuine sense of warmth, compassion, and professionalism that sets it apart.

The staff are truly exceptional-kind, attentive, and deeply committed to the well-being of every resident. It's

clear that they go above and beyond, treating residents like family rather than just patients.

The facilities are clean, comfortable and welcoming. There are plenty of engaging activities, which help residents stay active, social, and mentally stimulated. The meals are also well-prepared, nutritious, and cater to a variety of dietary needs.

Overall, this nursing home exemplifies excellence in every aspect-care, environment, and compassion. I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a safe, supportive, and nurturing place for their loved ones.

My wife's first two weeks in Meryton Place have been a pleasant experience. The home is spacious, well-appointed, and comfortable, and the staff are attentive and caring. Food is ample and tasty, and eating in the dining room and attending activities allows for social interaction with other residents,
enhancing the overall pleasant ambience of the home.
