Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My sister who has worked abroad , latterly in Belgium has been diagnosed with vascular dementia and medical advice was that she should re-locate to Scotland to be nearer family for treatment. This move proved to be very difficult and stressful for all concerned. She has been resident in Newton House
since December 2022 receiving good treatment. As her illness has progressed she has become more withdrawn in spite the staff's best efforts to get her involved in the many activities provided.

I have no hesitation in recommending this well run, and welcoming care home

Since my mother moved into the Cambridge Grove Care Home, the care and kindness she has received have been outstanding. The staff are genuinely caring and thoughtful, always taking the time to make sure she feels comfortable and valued. It's been such a relief knowing she's in safe hands, and the support
they've given has lifted a huge weight off our family. We're so grateful for everything they do.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Newton House has been a wonderful setting for my mum to thrive. As someone who needs 'buzz' and company, she gets this in abundance. A daily suite of activities week in-week out keeps my mum and all the residents busy and in high spirits. The blend of physical, musical, and creative tasks keeps it interesting
and a lot of fun. The staff are exceptional. Everyone is friendly. Everyone cares. Everyone seems proud to work at Newton House and this comes through in the standard of their work and care. The food is obviously good too, In the 6 months my mum has lived at Newton House she has gained a healthy appetite and equally healthy weight. Newton House is a very comfortable environment. The bedrooms and communal areas are furnished to a very high standard, making it a lovely place to spend time in. I have been immensely impressed with everyone and everything at Newton House. I can't rate it highly enough. Bravo all.

We have nothing negative to report !
The staff are extremely kind, patient, forbearing , pleasant and attentive.
The rooms are kept to a high standard of cleanliness and it seems the ethos is transferred right through to all those working there .
I know that any queries we might have are taken
note of and will be dealt with, and the experience of knowing my mother is well cared for is a comfort . I have also proved personal support and kindness on more than one occasion. The manageress deserves high accreditation!

All the staff were friendly, efficient, and approachable. The home was beautiful, and my Mother-in-Law's room was superb, on the ground floor with a door and the garden. The meal menus were wide-ranging and very appetising. It really was the ideal place for my Mother-In-Law's respite care, and I would

After losing Mum, Dad lived alone for seven years - going bowling, socialising, and enjoying his independence. In February 2025, Dad became unwell and spent some time in hospital. Afterwards, he decided he didn't want to return to his home. I arranged respite care for him, which eventually turned into
permanent residency at Cofton Manor Park after we sold his house.
I was unsure how he would adjust after being so independent for so long, but thanks to the care and comfort he receives at Cofton Manor Park, he has settled in wonderfully and is very happy. He enjoys starting his day with his favourite breakfast, taking part in board games and garden club, and loves the excellent entertainment and trips out.
The atmosphere is warm and friendly, and it's lovely that all the staff know him by name and take an interest in what he enjoys. Whenever I visit, I feel welcomed and part of the family myself.
The last few months have been emotional and challenging, sorting and selling his home after

From our initial enquiry to relative moving in staff were very helpful and caring as finding a care home for a relative is very stressful. Verwood House felt like a happy family home staff always caring and helpful encouraging us to drop in anytime. My sister enjoyed the many activities that were organised
everyday.

They were able to take my husband at very short notice. He was given very good care, and they looked after me too. I was able to visit him often and appreciated the calm environment. Even though he was only under their care for a short amount of time, I am grateful for the support they provided.

From the moment we came through the door to have a look, we knew that this would be a good place to go.
Excellent service, staff are brilliant and I cannot fault anything with her stay.
She didn't want to go in, but she loved it so much she didn't want to leave, which is brilliant.

Edwalton Manor met the needs for the care required for respite care. Location and facilities were excellent and the care provided was very good, dealing with the complex needs. Would certainly recommend and use in future.

My mum has been a resident since 2022. Her health and mental capabilities have deteriorated in that time. There is no option other than to reside in a care home. I don't blame the care home for the deterioration but I do think that if there were more activities it would help slow the progress. It feels
as if my mum just sits in a chair all day waiting for the next meal.

Mum moved to Hindhead Place last month, and I have been so impressed by the care and attention that the staff have shown to the whole family as she has settled in. The activities leader, Janice, is so creative and kind. Mum has enjoyed watching live performances from musicians, tap dancers, films in
the cinema, and walking around the garden and up to the Common. She's done watercolour painting, cooking and ceramics and tried several other craft projects. We're so pleased that we chose Hindhead Place - thank you all!

My mother has been a resident in the Downton community for 17-months now. She is living with advanced dementia but aware that she is in a residential home. Since moving to Charrington Manor she has become progressively more comfortable with her situation, and now frequently tells me how happy she is
to be there. That is largely due to the reassurance provided, and kindness offered by the care team.
My mother tends not to take advantage of the many entertainments and activities, but on her recent birthday the wellness team managed to encourage her to come to watch that day's entertainment. They made her feel very special with cake, bubbles, gifts and a rendition of "Happy Birthday". She really enjoyed it.
I'm satisfied that my mother is in the happiest and most comfortable home at this stage of her life.

My friend has been living at Charrington Manor for just over 12 months, and I can not fault the service.
From the the care staff, who are absolutely brilliant to the cleaners, the kitchen staff to the girls on reception.
Nothing is too much trouble, and everyone is so helpful. You can feel the love
and support from everyone when you enter the building.
The entertainment every day and weekly outing, the exercise classes, aimed at all capabilities, everyone is catered for.
This is an outstanding home and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone.
