I went to the Harpist evening last night. I was great! Lovell Place put un a fantastic event for the Residents and us relatives. There was wine, cheese and biscuits plus mince pies during the break. The harpist was super. She played a mixture of carols, and present and even some classical. My wife has
Alzheimer's and loves singing so she was very happy! So was I!

The staff as always we helpful and welcoming and looked after the residents' needs amazingly well.

Reply from Daney Thomas, Registered Manager at Lovell Place Care HomeThank you very much for your kind and valuable feedback. We are truly delighted to know that you and your wife enjoyed the event.

It is wonderful to hear that the residents appreciated the music and singing. Creating joyful and engaging experiences is very important to us, and we will be sure to organize more of these activities in the future. We sincerely appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts and hope to welcome you again soon.

Mom came to Cofton Park Manor for respite a while back and then at mom's request she returned as a full time resident. This was the best thing to happen for moms care in recent years. I no longer worry about mom being looked after, everything here is first class, all the staff care about the residents
and clearly enjoy their roles at Cofton, the activities are excellent, and residents are engaged and stimulated, we can't fault the care here.

Nesbit House Care Home

from S P (Daughter of Resident) published on 30 December 2025

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Nesbit House has friendly and caring staff who take a genuine interest in the residents and their happiness and welfare. I was lucky enough to spend a few days in the company of my father and the residents recently, attending the visiting entertainment (a most excellent singer) and participating in
a fun "hard" quiz. I also had the opportunity to join them at lunch in the dining room on three occasions where the portion sizes were good, the choices varied and the quality as I would have anticipated for a care home like this.

The highlight, however, was a superb lunch in the private dining room for my father, brother and me. We had been invited to express our menu preferences and Head Chef Aneil and his team created, cooked and served a most delicious lunch, much as I would expect in a top restaurant, along with a selection of wine. An excellent spread!

Reply from Charles Knowles, Home Manager at Nesbit House Care HomeThank you for your feedback, We are very proud of Aneil and his whole team who cater and host our private dining events they are indeed All Stars. I am particularly happy that you have enjoyed our activities and it seems from your review felt comfortable taking part and joining staff and residents.
We continue to work were possible on making all aspects 5 star for every resident and stakeholder. We hope to see you on your next visit and if you would like discuss any aspects of your loved one's stay.
Kind Regards

From the time my in-laws came to live at the home together in June 2023 I have found the care and support of staff to be of a good standard.
In march 2025 my mother in law passed away suddenly at the home. The comfort and compassion for us as a family and in particularly my father in law was so kind
and thoughtful and continues to be so now.

Meryton Place provided Dad with a home from home that has ensured he is both content and at peace. The staff are not just caring but responsive to his ever changing needs. Their ability to provide a personal touch for all residents is amazing. Equally the way the staff engage with us as relatives providing
support not only for Dad but family as well has been really appreciated.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My husband has been a resident of Montague House since October 2023 . He has good care throughout this time. The carers and nurses don't change a lot and know him and his needs very well, helping him to be calm and accept necessary care.
When there are events on in the home like the Christmas party
and craft fair couple of Saturdays back there was so many residents and relatives there ..all enjoying ourselves and the staff who were working on the areas where people were not able to join the party they worked well together and ensured at the right time residents like my husband were taken back upstairs for necessary care.

Today my husband and another resident were taken to the dementia choir which they used to belong to for the rehearsal of tomorrow s concert, this was a special occasion so thanks again to all of you that made this possible, especially the well-being lead and staff working today.so thank you all x

Reply from Paula Yorkston-Toy, Home Manager at Montague House Care HomeThank you so much for taking the time to share your lovely feedback, it means a great deal to our carers and nurses to know that their consistency and understanding has helped him feel well cared for and comfortable.
The dementia choir outing was a very special moment for everyone involved, and we're so glad your husband was able to reconnect with something meaningful to him. We will make sure your thanks are passed on to the well-being lead and the staff who supported the visit.

My parents have been residents at Richmond Manor for a few years and they have always been treated very well. Now that my father's condition is deteriorating I was able to see the exceptional level of care provided by all levels of staff including the manager during a recent health incident.
I can
recommend Richmond Manor to anyone who is looking for the highest level of care for their relatives.

My husband has regular respite stays at Abbots Wood Manor.
It means such a lot to know that he will be well looked after and that he is happy to go. I am able to have a break knowing that all will be well.
All the staff are very caring. My husband is treated with dignity and respect. His individual
needs and wants are met. He is encouraged to keep up with all his interests inside and outside of the home.
The home is always clean and tidy but also has a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
His bedroom is of a high quality as are the surrounding areas.
As a family, we are grateful that we found Abbots Wood Manor.

Abbots Wood Manor Care Home

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mother moved into Abbots Wood Manor in October, due to increasing needs with her care and mobility issues. She had already stayed for three weeks respite care a couple of years beforehand and was very happy, so when it came to the time for her to permanently move, it seemed obvious to look at it
again. I looked at various homes and this one still shone above the rest. The atmosphere in the home is so friendly and welcoming, happy and caring. Most importantly my mother is very happy and settled. She loves the food. The staff are very attentive and always keep me informed of any concerns that they may have about her. They are also very inclusive to the families, with various events organised to be together. It is clean and her room is a good size with a lovely patio garden just for her. There are activities put on every day and excursions.
Overall, I am relieved to know that my mother is happy, safe, monitored regularly and well looked after.

I feel that Abbots Wood Manor is an excellent Care Home. My friend has been there for nearly two years, she is very settled and happy there. The staff are exceptionally kind and caring and look after her very well. There is a wonderful variety of stimulating activities available too.
Visitors are made
to feel welcome and there are several occasions for us to participate, for example , the Garden Party and Christmas lights switch on.The home has a great, homely atmosphere and I am confident that my friend could not be in a better place.

When my mother came to Chawley Grove she was unwell, worried and confused. After a month she has totally relaxed, her health has improved, she's eating well and generally enjoying life again. The care and kindness at Chawley Grove is fantastic and the staff are friendly, helpful and supportive. Mum
is looking forward to getting involved in more activities which look varied and interesting. It's lovely to know she's being looked after so well.

Edwalton Manor Care Home

Mum and Dad moved into Edwalton Manor in August, initially on respite, moving to full time after the initial two months.

From first enquiry to moving in, the team were great to deal with -- with Louise making the process as easy as possible for us.

Mum and Dad have settled well and this has

taken a huge weight off my shoulders -- knowing they are safe now 24*7.

Having both parents move into Edwalton Manor at once is an unusual situation -- but the way the team were able to handle our specific needs was a big reason for going with them.

I've just returned from coffee with Mum this morning and it's great to see her so much more settled than how we were in the Spring / Summer !

This superb care home was unlike any of the others that my family looked at when searching looking for an appropriate home for my 100 year old father. A modern build with a superior quality hotel feel to it, and providing personalised, professional and friendly care for all its residents at the forefront
of its offering. If I needed to move to a care home, there is no doubt it would be here!

My Father was discharged from hospital to Elstow Manor Care Home 4 weeks ago. The Relations Manager was efficient, which make the move into the home seamless. She was also very sympathetic as my Dad wife had just passed away. In that time Dad has been in Elstow Manor, the care he has received has been
superb. He is now eating more, and very slowly gaining strength. The staff are always willing to help and are approachable when Dad needs something - for example drinks or food. The environment of the home is lovely and has a very calm feel to it.

Cofton Park Manor Care Home

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Our mum has been a resident here since May, following a stroke, and we are very happy with her care and living experience at Cofton Park Manor. The facilities are first rate and the homemakers (carers) are friendly and helpful. The food is amazing and is enough alone to recommend this home. The shared
facilities on the ground floor are very good and Mum likes to spend time in the bistro, enjoying a hot drink and home made cake. I've been really impressed with the activities too. There's something on every day whether it's a professional singer, visiting animals, an interesting talk, craft activities and flower arranging being just a few examples. The outside areas are well maintained and encourage residents to enjoy the fresh air. There are impressive views of the countryside from the shared balconies. We visit daily and are always made to feel welcome by all the staff including those on reception and on Mum's floor.

Charrington Manor Care Home

from Linda A (Daughter of Resident) published on 18 December 2025
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Mum was a resident at Charrington Manor for just over 2 years. She was a very anxious and agitated Alzheimer's sufferer and could be quite challenging at times. Throughout her time at the Home she was always treated with great care and respect.
Mealtimes were a constant anxiety for Mum but the
Home discussed with us how to make this easier and adopted measures to help (very small serving on a large plate, distractions, a quiet space away from others' looking' etc).
The staff all took the time to get to know and understand Mum and this made a real difference to her. This past year Mum became more frail and needed nursing care which, again, was given with dignity and kindness. Communication has always been good (with all staff and management alike) but during this time it was exemplary. Mum passed away in October and the staff made this time much easier for us all.
In March this year Dad also became unwell and needed care. We didn't hesitate to choose Charrington as his new home.
Reply from Simona Varga-Pali, Home Manager at Charrington Manor Care HomeThank you for your kind and thoughtful review. It was a privilege to care for your mum, and we're pleased to know she was treated with dignity, kindness and respect throughout her time with us. Your feedback about our team's understanding, communication and support, especially during her final months, means a great deal.
We're also grateful for your continued trust in choosing Charrington Manor for your dad. Your words will be shared with the whole team.,
