The wonderful team at Richmond Manor saved my life! Seriously ill, I came from the hospital six months ago for 'End of Life Care'. Thanks to the dedicated care of lovely, friendly, and compassionate staff I have made a good recovery, now taking full care of myself and completely mobile. The care team
are, without exception, a credit to Richmond Manor, their hard work and commitment creating such a happy and nurturing home. With their help I have been able to fulfil my wish to become well enough to go home, for which I am so grateful.

Brookwater House Care Home

from Ian C (Son of Resident) published on 13 August 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

We'd come to the point where mum wasn't safe to be at home alone. And she hated having a live-in carer. So my brother and I started the difficult and daunting task of searching for a suitable care home. Not only did we find one just a mile away from me, but it was practically brand new with an immaculate
garden.
9 months later we're delighted with the choice we made and are hugely grateful and relieved that things have gone as well as could be hoped for. And a huge part of that is down to the expertise and friendliness of all of the staff. Mom now eats better, has lots of company, daily activities and people keeping an eye on her health and needs on a daily basis. She even gets her hair cut regularly. Because of the constant stimulation she's much better in her thinking and conversation. Plus the staff are equally welcoming of visitors and are very friendly and caring. It's doesn't feel like a "care home" at all. Everything has made a massive, positive change to all of our lives.

Reply from Daniela Danciulescu, Home Manager at Brookwater House Care Home

Dear Ian, Thank you so much for your kind words. It means the world to our team to know that your mum is happy and well cared for. We always strive to provide a safe, supportive, and loving environment, and hearing your appreciation reassures us that we're making a difference. Please know that we value the trust you've placed in us, and we'll continue doing our very best every day.

Templeton Place Care Home

from Kerry B (Daughter of Resident) published on 12 August 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

When my father passed away we had the extremely difficult decision of finding a care home for mum where she has the best Dementia care. From the first visit I sensed mum would be happy. It took a good week for her to settle but the support, friendship and care given by ALL the staff enabled mum to
adjust. It's more like a hotel. I love the fact the staff don't wear uniforms, just name badges. Its more personal for the residents and visitors. There's no clinical 'smell' you often find in care homes. All essential support aids are stored away directly after use, leaving the home free from clutter and beautifully tidy. The choice of activities arranged for the residents is fabulous and the management team can often be seen engaging with the residents (as time allows). The meals are superb. The chefs put so much effort into providing nutrition and variety. Nothing is ever too much trouble and it's clear the staff are happy at work. Go and see for yourself - I recommend it 100%.

Much needed respite care provided for dementia. Lots of activities and facilities, rooms very nice, like hotel rooms. Any concerns raised were answered professionally. Would use again.

Hindhead Place Care Home

from Paula M (Daughter of Resident) published on 29 July 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Hindhead Place Care Home is an attractive, brand-new care home. It is stylishly decorated and has lovely facilities, including well-designed bedrooms and suites, a cinema room, lounge areas, an activity room, and gardens. Most importantly, the staff are always friendly, approachable, and attentive.
They are quick to respond to any queries my mother or I may have. I have always felt welcome to visit, and the atmosphere seems upbeat. There is an imaginative offering of activities for those who would like to take part, as well as visits by entertainers. The fact that staff do not wear a uniform makes the place feel more like a community than a care home. Above all, I particularly appreciate the great care they have taken to get to know my mother since she has been there.

Thankyou so much for taking time to write this informative and positive review! Your comments and insights are very much appreciated by all the team here at Hindhead Place and will be of great help and value to prospective families too. Thankyou for taking a leap of faith into our new home - your mother was our 2nd resident to move in and it is a joy to get to know her and watch her thrive.

Wonderful care from the wonderful staff. So kind and respectful to Dad and us. Thank you. From the day we arrived, 4 months ago, the care has been absolutely wonderful. We shall still visit as the staff and residents we would miss too.

Professional, attentive and caring staff and management.

The home is spotless and such a warm homely environment. We all feel super comfortable going in to see my mum who is settling in really well.

Everyone is always willing to help.

Would highly recommend.

My father absolutely loved The Grove! The staff are so helpful and attentive, nothing seems too much trouble. As a son, living 300 miles away, I have been confident he was cared for. In his later days, Grove staff have helped me personally by offering me food, accommodation and even lifts to the hospital.
Wow!!

My husband has been a resident in Brookwater House since March and has settled in very well. The staff are very kind and friendly and can't do enough for you. There is very much a family atmosphere. The food is excellent and there is always something going on to entertain the residents.

The care, consideration and concern shown to my father, before and after his stroke, and end of life care, were exemplary.
Thank you all so much. We were lucky to find you.

Alston House Care Home

My Mother only spent a few months at Alston House as she was terminal. From the moment I contacted this home we were both treated with dignity and they made the process so much easier. They cared for Mum and me during Mum's last days so well, attentive to all our needs with a positive 'can do' approach.
I am so relieved I chose well for Mum a home that was always bright, welcoming and a real tonic in what was a difficult time for us. Well done to all the wonderful staff at Alston House.

Meryton Place Care Home

from S T (Daughter of Resident) published on 18 July 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Our dad recently moved in to Meryton Place after a stay in hospital and our experience could not have been better. From day 1, the team at Meryton were very professional and incredibly caring. They spent time with us to work through all the details of his admission, coordinated with the hospital, and
ensured dad was warmly welcomed in to his new room. At every step of the way, the team have been available to help us with any questions and provided unending support. Dad is enjoying getting settled and the team are going out of their way to make him comfortable and helping him get well. We could not be more grateful to all at Meryton Place. Thank you for all you do everyday.

Reply from Natalie James, Registered Manager at Meryton Place Care Home

Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful message. We are truly touched by your words and are delighted to hear that your dad's transition into Meryton Place has been a positive experience for both him and your family. It's incredibly important to us that every resident feels welcome, supported, and cared for from the moment they arrive, and we're so pleased to know that our team helped make that happen. We'll be sure to share your lovely feedback with everyone involved in your dad's care-it means a great deal to them. We're equally grateful for the trust you've placed in us, and we're honoured to be part of your dad's journey toward recovery and comfort. Please don't hesitate to reach out if there's anything we can do to continue supporting you and your family.

Montague House is outstanding. My father went in for 4 weeks respite and enjoyed every minute of his stay. The staff are dedicated and supportive and the home its self is clean and homely. Furnishings and facilitates are of a high standard. At the end of the day its the people working there who really
count and they were all exceptional. I can't praise them enough. Dad will be back.

Elstow Manor Care Home

from Allan S (Son-in-law of Resident) published on 11 July 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My Late Father-in-Law was one of the first residents at Elstow Manor and when my Sister-in-Law became unable to care for herself Elstow Manor was the natural choice knowing what incredible care Dad received.

Sadly my Mother-in-Law also recently became in need of a care Home so Elstow Manor was again

the only choice.

The staff take the time to get to know not just the residents but the families too, getting to know the little things about residents that matter the most to make them feel valued for who they are.

So many other homes would benefit greatly by visiting Elstow Manor and learning just how to maintain the dignity and persona of residents. Nothing is either a problem or too much trouble.

My heartfelt thanks to all the staff at Elstow Manor.

Reply from Val Foley, Customer Relations Manager at Elstow Manor Care Home
