Dad came to the care home early march this year and has settled in well and seems happy enough. I am satisfied with the care dad is receiving from the staff who are always pleasent and helpful and keep me updated on any issues dad may have.

My sister arrived at Caddington Grove Care Home in July 2025. She had been very unwell for several months and joined the care home directly from hospital. Having lived on her own for many years, it was quite a challenge for her to comprehend the new experience of living in a residential community.
Thanks
to be wonderful medical , administrative and support staff, my sister was soon able to acclimatise to the regular routines and it wasn't long before she was making treasured friends at the home.
My sister is very happy to receive visits from family and friends as well as the ongoing care, concern and sympathetic support of all the staff. Our family is so grateful that my sister is being cared for in such a kind and professional way. We really do appreciate how fortunate we are that she is living in an amazing and sympathetic environment., Thank you to the whole family at Caddington Grove Care Home.
Reply from Emma Burns, Home Manager at Caddington Grove Care HomeIt is especially rewarding to know that the care, support and compassion shown by our clinical, administrative and support teams have helped her feel safe, valued and at home. Building trusting relationships with our residents and their families is at the heart of everything we do, and your feedback reassures us that we are achieving this.
Your comments will be shared with the whole team, who will be incredibly proud to know that their kindness, dedication and professionalism have made such a positive difference to your sister and your family.
Thank you for placing your trust in us and for allowing us to be part of your sister's journey. It is a privilege to care for her, and we look forward to continuing to support her in the months and years ahead.

My grandad came to the care home last year from another care home. We had a very bad experience with the other care home and was quite worried about the transition however, Louise was amazing and made us feel at ease and very welcomed. All the staff have been outstanding and have shown such respect
dignity and care towards my grandad. He is thriving.
We are very grateful to all the staff at Caddington grove care home for being an amazing team and given our grandad/dad the care he deserves.

Mum came into Caddington Grove Care Home in September 2025. Throughout her stay she was treated with kindness and dignity. All her health needs were met and I was kept up to date regularly on her issues and progress. All the staff without exception were kind, polite and had a great sense of humour.
Many varied activities were on offer, most memorable being 'cuddle a penguin'! Everyone made my mum's final months as comfortable as possible.
Reply from Emma Burns, Home Manager at Caddington Grove Care HomeThank you so much for taking the time to share such kind feedback about your mums time at Caddington Grove.
It means a great deal to the whole team to know that your mum was treated with kindness and dignity and that you felt well informed and supported throughout her stay. Providing compassionate care while also supporting families is something we care deeply about, so your words are truly appreciated.
I am especially pleased to hear that the activities and moments of joy, including the memorable cuddle a penguin visit, helped make your mums time with us special. Creating meaningful experiences and ensuring residents feel comfortable, valued, and happy is at the heart of what we do.
I will be sure to share your lovely comments with the team. They work incredibly hard every day and will be very touched to know the positive difference they made during your mums final months.

We are very glad to have been able to secure a place for our mother at Caddington Grove.
Staff were very helpful when we required the room at short notice and needed to find a place that was accessible. This was a few months ago.
The whole team at Caddington Grove have been friendly and supportive
especially as our mother's condition has been deteriorating. Every effort has been made to accommodate our mother's needs and wishes.
We have been kept informed of changes in our mother's condition and of changes to medications. There has been discussion before changes are made.
Reply from Emma Burns, Home Manager at Caddington Grove Care HomeThank you so much for taking the time to share such thoughtful feedback. We are truly pleased that we were able to support you at short notice and provide a suitable, accessible room for your mother when you needed it most. Moving into care can be an emotional and pressured time, and it means a great deal to know that you felt supported from the very beginning. As your mother's needs have changed, our priority has always been to ensure she remains comfortable, safe and treated with dignity. I am especially grateful that you recognised the team's communication around changes in her condition and medication. Open discussion and partnership with families are fundamental to how we work, particularly when someone's health is deteriorating and decisions require sensitivity and collaboration. Your kind words will be shared with the whole team at Caddington Grove.

Can't praise this care home enough! My mother was given absolutely outstanding care in October when she was admitted into the nursing home with terminal cancer. They treated her with so much care, compassion and dignity. The staff are absolutely amazing and were always available for me to have a chat
when I was struggling with the situation. From the reception, care workers, handymen and nurses any concerns were listened to and I felt rest assured my Mum was getting the exceptional care she deserved. She loved the food and it was so nice for her to be able to have her hair done in the salon. It is amazing you allow dogs to visit and this cheered my Mum up immensely. I want to pass on my thanks to all at Caddington Grove who made my Mums last few weeks of life so comfortable!
Reply from Emma Burns, Home Manager at Caddington Grove Care HomeThank you so much for taking the time to share such a heartfelt review. On behalf of everyone at Caddington Grove, I would like to express our sincere thanks for your kind words and, most importantly, for trusting us to care for your Mum during such a deeply personal and emotional time. Providing compassionate, dignified, and person-centred care at the end of life is something we take immense pride in, and it means a great deal to know that your Mum felt comfortable, supported, and cared for during her final weeks. I am especially pleased to hear that the team were able to support you as a family as well, as we recognise how important it is to care for loved ones alongside our residents. Your recognition of the whole team, from reception and maintenance through to our care and nursing staff, will be shared with them. Feedback like this truly reinforces the impact of their dedication and compassion. Our thoughts remain with you and your family, at this difficult time

After falling and fracturing my pelvis I spent 10 days in hospital. On my discharge I chose to complete my recovery in Caddington Grove. I was in quite a bad place when I arrived but after 5 weeks I was fully independent and almost back to normal.
I cannot praise the care I received enough. Every
aspect was exceptional. My room, the food, the laundry and daily activity program. But most of all 'the staff'. I will always be grateful for their kindness and willingness to help me.

My mum lived in Caddington Grove for 2 years on both the residential & nursing floors. She received excellent care from very kind, friendly & dedicated carers. The nursing & HCA staff were excellent & kept us informed at all times. She loved the activities & entertainments which were varied & excellent

Our experience of Caddington Grove has been excellent. My mum was a resident for nearly two years, starting on the middle floor and moving to the nursing floor, as she needed nursing care. The staff are so lovely, kind and caring. They are clearly professional and well trained but make time to chat
to the residents and laugh with them. The activities and entertainment are varied and interesting. We also really liked how welcome we, as visitors, were made to feel. The staff always chatted to us and provided updates on how my mum was doing. Caddington Grove really felt like home for my mum and I would highly recommend it as an excellent place to receive care.

I would just like to make a comment regarding a member of staff who has been beyond caring and lovely towards our grandad. She has shown a genuine positive energy and outlook at work, she has been so supportive towards my granddad and the family.

Nothing is ever an issue and nothing is ever too

much to ask for, she really cares and has a genuine kind heart, you can see that this is not just a job for her but she really wants to help and make a change in the lives of those that live in the care home.

I have firsthand witnessed the way in which she speaks to our grandad, she speaks so clearly and slowly allowing our grandad to be able to process what she's saying. She's completely engaged within the conversation.

Our grandad was bedbound for six weeks prior to coming. The carer with a team of amazing staff was able to get our granddad outside! Something which we wasn't sure was ever going to happen again

She is a credit to the team! She's truly amazing. She brings that home feeling back!

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.851)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.851) out of 10 for Caddington Grove Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 33 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 33 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.851 for Caddington Grove Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (338 Excellents x 5) + (47 Goods x 4) + (4 Satisfactorys x 3) + (1 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 390 Ratings = 4.851
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Caddington Grove Care Home is based on 33 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 66 registered maximum number of service users is 13.2, which has been reached with 33 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Home Ambassador Joined: 2025

I joined the care sector after many years working with both the UK and US governments, where I advised on and managed relocation policies. While my past career journey gave me valuable experience in problem-solving, communication, and supporting people through big life changes, I felt a strong pull to take my career in a more personal and meaningful direction.

After caring for my late mother, I realised how deeply rewarding it is to support and help families and individuals during challenging times. This experience inspired me to pursue a career in care, where I can give back to society in a hands-on way and make a direct difference in people’s lives.

Outside of work, I have a love for travelling the world and exploring new cultures, as well as reading a wide variety of books to keep learning and broadening my perspective.
