He was well rested, cheerful and started to come out of his shell joining in some of the activities. The carers (homemakers) and nurses treated him with respect and compassion. I am hoping his positive experience may encourage him to have respite care there in the future.
Wish my husband had been fortunate enough to have been cared for in such a lovely home. He passed away two years ago.
Caddington Grove is a beautiful care home, with lovely décor and layout. We were particularly impressed by the quality of the rooms and furnishings and absolutely loved the cinema room. We had a wonderful host during our initial tour and she has been so helpful and supportive since we met her.
During his stay, my father was settled, comfortable and relaxed which gave us all a huge sense of relief and allowed our mum to properly relax, as we knew he was in good hands. We have another week booked for my dad in March, which will allow our mum to have another good rest, and my dad to get spoilt rotten. All of the staff were amazing and couldn't have done more. They are kind, courteous, attentive and have a great sense of humour, as well as meeting the individual needs of all of the residents.
It was also really kind of Caddington Grove to invite us to the various events (Xmas Event and Spanish Day), that they have going on, and makes us feel part of this very special family.
I recommend this place to anyone with problems because it would make their lives easier and more comfortable. I've felt supported and more confident in the time I have been here. Being able to bring my dog with me was a blessing to me too.
I think this home is absolutely fantastic. I would recommend it to anyone. I would describe it as a 5-star hotel with excellent facilities. I really enjoy the time I spend there with residents and staff. It has a really lovely warm and friendly atmosphere.
Caddington Grove is a good home, it's the best I have seen. I have enjoyed my stay. I would come again if I needed to.
I am well travelled, and I think this home compares to a good quality hotel. I came here to make me feel better. I was unhappy and unwell and since being here I already feel stronger and happier and so I am hoping to return home happier and stronger.
The staff demonstrated the most caring skills and attitude towards my mother and our family. We couldn't have wished for better care. Highly recommended Care Home.
Thank you for your valued feedback. We really appreciate your comments
The difference between Caddington Grove and other care homes we considered is obvious from the moment you walk through the door. After the first impression, every other aspect of the service provided reinforces the positive and caring attitude of all the staff and that is visible in the contentment of the residents we met and have got to know since mum became a resident. I could not have hoped for a better home to entrust with the care of my mum.
The staff are friendly, engaging constantly in a kind, supportive manner with the residents, and very welcoming to visitors.
Thank you for your review. We really appreciate your feedback.
I am from a local church and volunteer regularly at the home. The standards at this home are very high. Everything from cleanliness and decor to food and drink is at an excellent quality. I have been particularly impressed with the personalised care and attention they give to each resident. If I knew someone looking for a care home I would not hesitate to recommend Caddington Grove.
Based on our experience thus far I would have no hesitation in recommending Caddington Grove to other potential residents and their families.
After visiting this care home several times, it is considered to be one of the best in the county. The general ambience of the building, supported by friendly and warm staff ensure the care of residents in beyond reproach.
My father spent his last few weeks of life at Caddington Grove. The staff were lovely and I feel he got the best possible care. They also looked after the rest of the family at such a difficult time. I chatted to a few of the residents as there are lovely lounges to spend time in and they all seemed very happy chatting to staff as friends. Thank you so much for making his last few weeks as comfortable as possible.
Amazing care home, so lovely to see. A very caring, relaxed atmosphere. All the staff were great and showed real enthusiasm for their work. I would recommend this care home without a doubt.
My mum has been living with me and I really wanted to be able to continue looking after her for the rest of her life. Unfortunately, it became clear that this wouldn't be possible. I always said that mum wouldn't go into care but I can honestly say that Caddington Grove has changed my mind. I know that if I can't care for mum, she is in the best possible place to receive the best care, attention and genuine affection that she needs and deserves.
When I go to see mum, I see smiling faces all around, both from mum and from staff.I can see that mum is happy there and that gives me and my family great peace of mind.
The staff and management at Caddington Grove have been very helpful and supportive in the initial process of deciding whether this was the home for Mum. Every stage of the process was explained and clarified clearly and succinctly, leaving my brothers and sisters in no doubt that this is where Mum needs to be to receive the kind of care we all want for her.
The staff have clearly been well-trained and deal with both mum and the family in a kind and "loving" way. They know what they have to do to uphold the ethos of the home which is unique in many ways. Its the best establishment we reviewed, before making a final decision.
If anyone is in the situation that my family has been in, having to make one of the toughest decisions of our lives, worry not, Caddington Grove is what an elderly Care Home should be and what we would all want for our precious mum. There will be emotional hiccups but it lives up to - and beyond - our best expectations.
It's like being in a five-star hotel. The rooms are very nice. The food is very nice. There is a nice friendly atmosphere, a very homely environment, and all the staff have made me feel very welcome. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff.
As and when I need permanent care, this home would be my first choice.
Thank you so very much for your comments. We have loved having you here with us.
The staff are treated with respect and everybody works in union with each other.
It's like a 5 star hotel. We weren't quite sure what to expect when we came here, but it's been excellent and the people have been lovely.

Meet the Team (2)

A registered nurse, Emma came to Caddington Grove as the Clinical Lead and was promoted to Home Manager in October 2022. With a Diploma in Adult Nursing with over 15 years experience, Emma led teams in the acute and primary sector before joining Hamberley. A skilled people manager, Emma enjoys recruiting and leading dedicated and skilled teams to provide outstanding care. Outside of her professional life, Emma loves Christmas - and if it were up to her, the Christmas decorations would be up in July! Emma enjoys every moment spent with her children and extended family.
“Our care home is a sanctuary of comfort and care, thoughtfully designed to meet your needs. Every member of the Caddington team is committed to providing personalised support in an environment filled with warmth and understanding.”

I joined the care sector after many years working with both the UK and US governments, where I advised on and managed relocation policies. While my past career journey gave me valuable experience in problem-solving, communication, and supporting people through big life changes, I felt a strong pull to take my career in a more personal and meaningful direction.
After caring for my late mother, I realised how deeply rewarding it is to support and help families and individuals during challenging times. This experience inspired me to pursue a career in care, where I can give back to society in a hands-on way and make a direct difference in people’s lives.
Outside of work, I have a love for travelling the world and exploring new cultures, as well as reading a wide variety of books to keep learning and broadening my perspective.
