View Full Details of Caddington Grove Care HomeAfter falling and fracturing my pelvis I spent 10 days in hospital. On my discharge I chose to complete my recovery in Caddington Grove. I was in quite a bad place when I arrived but after 5 weeks I was fully independent and almost back to normal. I cannot praise the care I received enough. Every aspect was exceptional. My room, the food, the laundry and daily activity program. But most of all 'the staff'. I will always be grateful for their kindness and willingness to help me.
Much appreciated welcome. All staff very kind, welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble throughout our visit to see my elderly sister. We were so impressed by all the staff, the cleanliness and attention to detail. Thank you everyone.
My mum lived in Caddington Grove for 2 years on both the residential & nursing floors. She received excellent care from very kind, friendly & dedicated carers. The nursing & HCA staff were excellent & kept us informed at all times. She loved the activities & entertainments which were varied & excellent and also the monthly church services. Families were invited to join in some of the activities & were made to feel very welcome as visitors. Caddington Grove really felt like a home for my mum. Highly recommended.
Our experience of Caddington Grove has been excellent. My mum was a resident for nearly two years, starting on the middle floor and moving to the nursing floor, as she needed nursing care. The staff are so lovely, kind and caring. They are clearly professional and well trained but make time to chat to the residents and laugh with them. The activities and entertainment are varied and interesting. We also really liked how welcome we, as visitors, were made to feel. The staff always chatted to us and provided updates on how my mum was doing. Caddington Grove really felt like home for my mum and I would highly recommend it as an excellent place to receive care.
Wonderful care from the wonderful staff. So kind and respectful to Dad and us. Thank you. From the day we arrived, 4 months ago, the care has been absolutely wonderful. We shall still visit as the staff and residents we would miss too.
I would just like to make a comment regarding a member of staff who has been beyond caring and lovely towards our grandad. She has shown a genuine positive energy and outlook at work, she has been so supportive towards my granddad and the family. Nothing is ever an issue and nothing is ever too much to ask for, she really cares and has a genuine kind heart, you can see that this is not just a job for her but she really wants to help and make a change in the lives of those that live in the care home. I have firsthand witnessed the way in which she speaks to our grandad, she speaks so clearly and slowly allowing our grandad to be able to process what she's saying. She's completely engaged within the conversation. Our grandad was bedbound for six weeks prior to coming. The carer with a team of amazing staff was able to get our granddad outside! Something which we wasn't sure was ever going to happen again She is a credit to the team! She's truly amazing. She brings that home feeling back!
I cannot express enough gratitude for the care and compassion shown to my mother in law during her time in Caddington Grove. She was always treated with dignity warmth and attentiveness. When my mother in law's health declined the level of support from the carers only deepened. The team went above and beyond not only in caring for her physical needs but also insuring she felt safe, loved and respected. Losing my mother in law was heartbreaking but we are so thankful she spent her final days being cared for in a safe and supportive environment. To the manager and team a big 'Thank You' the from bottom of my heart
We were really impressed with the care my father received while in your care. He was only with you for a short time, and we were made to feel very comfortable. The communication with us during his final days was very good. Thank you so very much.
I visited my friend in Caddington Grove last week. She lived in there for a number of years. I cannot praise the staff for the excellent care she received. The staff all knew her well and she loved staying in the home.
Ideal and local for the care needs of Mum. Organised and friendly staff. The building, facilities and grounds are modern, clean, spacious and comfortable. Always enjoy singer events, brilliant, always kept up to date on health needs ect.
Mum has been a resident at Caddington Grove Care Home for nearly 4 years. The staff have been wonderful. Mum has received excellent care physically, emotionally and even spiritually. Mum is a committed Christian and she has received loving respect for her faith. Mum probably only has a few days to live but the respect and care she received means she is comfortable and peaceful. I cannot praise the staff enough for all they have done for Mum while she has been at Caddington Grove.
Mum has deteriorated in her health in the last few weeks but the love, care and respect for Mum hasn't. It has been so lovely to see Mum's face light up when a carer comes into the room. I have heard them talk about Mum with such love, care and concern, recalling memories they have at a time of Covid when I couldn't come in. Thank you.
Following the recent passing of my beloved husband, I would like to thank all the staff for the wonderful care he received. My husband spent 10 months at Caddington Grove Care Home and the kindness and care and support shown to him and myself from the nursing team was a huge peace of mind. All the carers worked tirelessly to ensure his comfort and personal care with a special thanks to to one staff member in particular, a wonderful man who went over and beyond and always made my husband smile and took the time to chat with him even though my husband couldn't reply. The admin team in reception were always so welcoming and showed me great empathy when I was quite often having a moment on my way out. What a wonderful team. Thank you all.
Caddington Grove Care Home is not just a care home, it is a family. My nan went into Caddington at the end of July 2024, she was frail, very immobile, isolated and possibly depressed, we'd be caring for her at home for a long time, the idea of letting her go into care was very scary. Caddington welcomed nan with open arms, love care and support, my frail isolated nan became happy and strong, she started interacting for the first time in years, made friends, fell in love with bingo and joined in with everything. I never expected to see this but she felt safe and that's why she could join in, all the care was given with love and a smile. My nan was healthier and happier than I'd seen her in years thanks to Caddington. They gave my nan 6 months of amazing memories and our family exactly the same. My nan's last weeks and days of her life in the care home, were exactly where she wanted to be, she was happy and safe and loved by all. I need more words than the max to really tell you how amazing they are.
My mother came in for respite care after a fall. Everyone was lovely to her. In the two weeks she was there, she was walking again, made a good friend and was joining in activities. Only one thing could be improved - decor of rooms for respite residents, pictures on wall and cushions etc would make it more welcoming. My mum hated the food.
My father was admitted at short notice, as he was unable to return home after being in hospital. The care home dealt with everything and got him settled in quickly.
I find the staff very friendly, helpful and hardworking. Good communication overall. I recently went out on a trip with my mother-in-law, she really enjoyed it. Staff try very hard to make the day out fun for the residents. The night entertainment is great, buffet lovely, residents all join in! Thank you very much.
The improvement and well-being of Mum since being in your care is phenomenal. Mum was sad, drawn and had lost a lot of weight. But since being a resident she has got her natural glow back. Seems a lot happier and has her spirit for life back.
Wow! Just wow! I cannot begin to express just how pleased I am. It has, to date, lived up to and more than I ever expected. I am sure my husband is going to finally get the best care - he so deserves. Thank you, thank you and thank you again.
Helped us out with not even a day's notice, after being let down by another home the day before. Very helpful and polite, to deal with all staff so grateful. Also been invited to still visit and take part in activities. Mother-in-law seemed very happy there. Even got upset when leaving, might not be the cheapest of home, but glad all was good there.
