Overall Experience
After the experience we had with my dad's previous care home, the difference since moving here has been incredible. He has only been here for just over a month, but I already feel so much more confident and reassured.
The staff are kind, caring, and genuinely compassionate. They treat residents with respect and always take the time to make my dad feel supported. The home is clean, well run, and has a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
The biggest change for me is the peace of mind. I can now leave after a visit knowing that my dad is safe and being looked after properly. Having nursing care available gives me even greater confidence that his needs are being met.
I've also noticed that my dad seems much more settled and relaxed.

Having experienced another care home that did not provide the standard of care we expected, I feel I can make a genuine comparison. The improvement has been remarkable, and I'm extremely grateful to everyone here for their care, kindness, and professionalism.

My Wife moved to Richmond Manor on the 5th.May 2026 after an unhappy experience at another care home.
We have found a safe & caring home for her after a stressful time for both of us at her previous placement.

The management & staff have been so helpful and I feel very comfortable with our decision to move here. My wife seems much more settled amongst a lovely group of people who have gone out of their way to make this work for my wife, myself & our family.

Mum has moved in to Richmond Manor 2 weeks ago and apart from the fact the home is absolutely beautiful , every member of staff are so very welcoming and supportive.
The home is precisely what it says a " home "
I have not met such lovely staff in a nursing home environment as I have here.
There will be teething problems when a loved one moves in to a new home but every single member of staff have been making this transition as easy as possible. Nothing is too much trouble and everyone seems to always have a smile.
I and our family are confident mum will settle fully over the next few weeks with the kindness and support offered here.

Thank you to all.

My mother and father have both been in residence at Richmond Manor! Sadly Dad passed away in December 2025, the care and compassion shown was exceptional. The are he received was excellent. Mum is still at the home, the staff couldn't be better, kind, caring & understanding. The home is kept in tip top condition. The staff also there to help & support family members at difficult times.

We came to see my uncle for the first time on 22nd December, we were welcomed immediately by the friendly staff to have a coffee and then bring my uncle to see us, we were empatheticaly advised he had deteriorated, to prepare us. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. On leaving we returned him to his room which was very clean and tidy.

Thanks to everyone.

My parents have been residents at Richmond Manor for a few years and they have always been treated very well. Now that my father's condition is deteriorating I was able to see the exceptional level of care provided by all levels of staff including the manager during a recent health incident.

My husband who has Lewy Body Dementia stayed here for 3 weeks in August/September and I stayed for 2 weeks in September whilst recovering from a hip replacement operation. We were on separate floors but able to share some meals together. The staff were exceptionally patient with my husband dealing with his confusion and unwillingness to cooperate even with the most basic routines. So much so that he settled well after a period and became quite content

For myself the 2 weeks convalescence was perfect. I was discharged after 2 days in hospital and it was the best thing for my recovery. The care I received was first class especially help with washing and showering, medication and the choice of meals to tempt my appetite and of course the adjustable bed. Coupled with regular walks around the gardens and daily activities it helped me to regain my strength. I couldn't have wished for better care and will certainly be using the home for respite in the future

A very caring and friendly atmosphere. The staff are fantastic and can't do enough to help you. Facilities are excellent: a film room, large and small lounges, an activity room and best of all, the coffee shop where residents can meet with each other and their visitors. There is a choice of menu at all meals, and if none suits you, you can order something else.

Dad recently had two weeks respite care at Richmond Manor. All the staff are so welcoming and helpful, the facilities are great and Dad's room was lovely and clean. Most importantly of all, the residents appeared to be happy and enjoying themselves. As Dad's only carer it's such a comfort to me to know that they are there to care so well for Dad when I need to have a break.

Our Mum lived at Richmond Manor for two years before she passed away at the age of 96. She had Alzheimer's, and when it was no longer safe for her to live at home, we were fortunate to find Richmond Manor.

Mum was very happy there-always smiling, always high-fiving everyone. The carers and staff were friendly, and some, in particular, were truly exceptional. Her room was cosy and homely, always kept clean, and she was well looked after. The food was great, though in her final years, she mostly preferred biscuits!

They made sure she always had plenty of these while still offering proper meals.

It's a lovely environment. There was always a different space to take her such as quiet rooms, lovely garden or balcony. The café was especially sociable and welcoming.

Overall, Richmond Manor provided excellent care. When Mum passed away, the staff were genuinely sad, and some even attended her funeral, which meant so much to us. We can't thank them enough for their kindness and dedication.
