My sister has been looked after superbly, my family and I are so happy that she has settled in so well. The manager has been amazing, my sister had a stroke on Christmas Day and has made a brilliant recovery. Thank you.

A great place to get back to healing before going home.

When I first visited my friend before Christmas, she was extremely upset, crying and wishing for me to take her home. The second time, she was much the same, third time would not see me. The difference in today's visit is quite unbelievable. She was happy and laughing, and her overall attitude was much more positive. Now I am really looking forward to seeing her again.

Mum's made Richmond Manor her home since discharge from hospital after care at home became no longer feasible. Mum's care needs are both broad and complex; yet the homemakers and nurses at Hamberley Care Homes' Ampthill site take her living needs in their stride with genuine compassion, patience and understanding. There is a belief that care at home is the best - but home is where the heart is and, right now, our hearts are firmly here at Richmond Manor. There is absolutely no way that we could have provided the care and support, that Mum is in receipt of, living independently at home. The peace of mind that comes from knowing we've helped Mum experience the best possible nursing care is truly immeasurable.

After one year in Richmond Manor, my wife and I are happy her sister is so happy and content and in such a safe environment, being looked after by such caring and dedicated staff.

My father has recently become a resident after having transferred from another residential care facility. I have been so impressed from the very start with Richmond Manor, right from my first meeting to settling my dad in and his care goes beyond. The level of care is absolutely everything I would want for my dad. In 24 hours of him being with them, they immediately identified a medical problem with my dad that could be easily remedied and would hugely improve my dad's quality of life. Excellent service.

Lots of good things - mums room was pleasant and comfortable with its own patio and flower bed. The staff were always friendly and helpful, whatever they were doing somehow they or a colleague would be available within a minute or two. The building was very clean and new. The garden was big enough for a short walk. I always found a parking space at the front. The only bad thing I can think of is very minor, mum would have liked a few shelves of books to borrow but there is a library in the village.

During our initial visit to Richmond having seen two other care homes the most outstanding deciding aspect of Richmond Manor was the relationship between staff and residents. Very respectful in fact we would say that both the staff and building were very respectful towards the residents.

I am very happy because she is.

The team at the home have made the transition to being a resident, very easy for my aunt. After living alone for many years, we were concerned how difficult the move would be for her. Her room and care have been managed extremely well, so she is comfortable and can engage with other residents as much as she wishes. The facilities are excellent and she is enjoying the company and routine.

The room was comfortable and clean. The bed linen needed to be changed more regularly. The laundry service arrangement was erratic with a satisfactory end result. Several days running out of supplies ie marmalade/coffee should have been avoided. We would be happy to return anytime and our personal thanks to all the staff for their kindness etc. Lovely atmosphere, lovely staff, again our thanks.

Dad has had a lovely break here I can't thank all the staff enough for the level of care he has had. Nothing was too much trouble he has made amazing friends and memories. Thank you so much!

Having seen my sister each week during her first month in a care home it is so good to see her happy again at least which she assures me she is. Very impressed by the activities and the attention to detail by staff including covid restrictions.

I have found the staff (especially the Manger and the Nurse with whom I have had the most contact) to be supportive and kind to both my parents. They have also been informative regarding the care and support plan needed and provide excellent feedback and information to me and my family. We are reassured that our parents are safe and well looked after in a very clean and beautiful home. Many many thanks.

Mum needed 24 hour nursing care and rather than being admitted to hospital, we agreed and worked with the district nurse team to place mum in Richmond Manor Care home for respite nursing care. The Richmond Manor management team and staff could not have made this easier to achieve. The home is beautiful and immaculate. All the nursing care and everyone that was involved in nursing our mum fulfilled her needs and beyond. Everyone was so caring and supportive of those needs she required. Thank you for all your support and for looking after our beautiful mum.

In a time of great urgency, Richmond Manor provided a high - quality care home for my dad within 48 hours. The entire team were incredibly caring and were there to support us through every stage of dad’s journey. I highly recommend.

I spent 7 days with you and received the best of care. Your staff were so helpful all the time, the building is so modern and the carers make good use of all the facilities. Although the staff are so busy they are always there to help. Thank you all for your care. God Bless you all.

My husband settled in very quickly and is being looked after extremely well. All the staff are excellent and helpful. During these difficult times, I and some members of the family have been able to visit. Hopefully, soon the grandchildren will also be able to visit Grandad.

Mum had a fall and needed full-time care. She had previously visited Richmond Manor and liked it. Because she had been in A&E she had to isolate for two weeks which was difficult for her. The staff were very cooperative in helping mum through this time. Now out of isolation, she is beginning to settle into this community.

We have been very happy with the service provided and the level of communication from all the staff. All the facilities are nice and new, so it is a nice place to live.
