Mum moved into Richmond Manor when it opened in August 2020. Over the past 8 months, we have seen her regain her smile and develop great relationships with all the staff. Although communication is difficult for mum, they now know her so well and Richmond Manor is now her home. Despite being very disabled, Mum has the opportunity to take part in everything that goes on in the home as and when she wishes. Mum is very happy and we are so pleased and grateful to have found a care home that we can trust implicitly.

In the four months my sister has been living in Richmond Manor, I have been amazed by how her wellbeing has improved. She always talks of the love and care she receives from all the staff and how lovely the home is. It's always a pleasure to visit, even in these difficult times, and the staff are always very helpful and welcoming. Thank you all very much for the care you give.

The care from the management and all staff is excellent. Nothing is too much trouble. My mother is very happy with her care, room and food. Having spent time comparing other care homes in the area, we are so pleased we chose Richmond Manor.

Overall Experience

Mum was not keen on becoming a carehome resident but due to her increasing frailty, it was no longer possible for her to remain safely outside residential care. Since joining Richmond Manor she has become socially integrated with fellow residents and homemakers. She enjoys their company and the daily activities, ranging from baking, quizzes and film nights. Her care cannot be faulted and the food served in the beautiful dining room mum says is excellent. The quality of the home's decor, fixtures and fittings are exceptional. The Manor has also made great efforts to support family contact by erecting a perspex screen wall into one of the ground floor lounges so visitors can enter from the garden door. Although you cannot touch each other, with the aid of a microphone you can have a good natter and catch up on each other's news and activities. Whenever we meet the staff they all have a smile and happy words, and when we see them with mum there is gentleness in their interaction with her.
