The care he received was outstanding!
He was treated with respect and dignity at all times by all staff involved in his care.
During this time he was able to do things he had been unable to do in previous months and due to the wonderful and varied menu, his appetite returned, with gusto!
He returned home to me a 'new man'
Thank you to everyone at Milngavie Manor care home, where you really do CARE.
It was an absolute pleasure to care for such a lovely gentleman during his respite stay with us. We are delighted to hear that he felt respected and dignified throughout his time at Milngavie Manor, and that he was able to regain...
My brother-in-law was admitted to Milngavie Manor for two weeks respite. During this period the staff managed to give him the confidence to do things he hadn't been able to do in the previous 2 months. He was treated with care respect and dignity by ALL members of staff at Milngavie Manor. Management kept my sister informed of all aspects of the care provided to G, I can only describe the care as exceptional, from the care workers management, chefs, housekeeping and admin staff. Thank you for all your support.
It means a great deal to know that our team were able to help build his confidence and support him in achieving things he hadn't felt...
We have been extremely happy with the level of care and attention my dad received at Milngavie Manor. The staff were always friendly, attentive, and caring, making him feel comfortable and well looked after. The facilities were excellent, and there was a great range of activities available, helping residents stay engaged and active. We were very impressed with the overall standard of care and support provided. I would thoroughly recommend this care home to anyone looking for a welcoming and professional environment for a loved one.

* Staff take on board and respond to our questions
* Staff always kind to mum
* We're not there at mealtimes so cannot comment, and mum isn't able to tell us (re: food and drink)
* Staff notify us immediately of any problem or issue (falls, bumps etc)

The staff have worked hard to settle mum into Malngavie Manor Care Home. They have been timely in keeping the family updated with any changes mum has experienced. She is taking part in many of the excellent activities on offer. The staff all know mum's name and are aware of her needs. Management has been very good and always have time for a chat and support.

The senior management team inspire real confidence by their actions, advice and care. My wife is responding to the care in a most rewarding way and it is so pleasing for me to see the results. All the staff, and not just the carers, are so pleasant and helpful - their special qualities are a wonder to me. My heartfelt thanks to all.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We're delighted to hear your wife is responding so well to the care, and that you feel confident in our team. Your appreciation means a great deal to us all, and we'll be sure to share your thanks with every member of staff.
I was anxious about mums first stay for respite care, but I couldn't have been more happy. From the minute we entered, we were treated like family. Having worked in a caring setting myself. I was struck by the 'whole team' approach with everyone going out of their way to make mum's stay as enjoyable as possible. Nothing was too much trouble, and the place was spotless. We will be looking for further respite in future and just hope we are able to return to Milngavie. Thank you.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review. We completely understand how anxious you must have felt ahead of your mum's first respite stay, so we are delighted to hear that your experience exceeded expectations. Your kind comments about the warm welcome, team approach, cleanliness, and care...
Delighted with the recent respite care experience at Milngavie Manor. My mum had never been for a break before, so all of us were anxious about what to expect. We needn't have worried as the staff, management team and facilities were everything we could have wished for. Mum was looked after with care, kindness and humour, and the environment, room activities and person-centred care were absolutely excellent. We hope to use Milngavie Manor again in the future.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. We are delighted to hear that your mum's first respite stay was such a positive experience and that both she and your family felt supported and reassured throughout. Your kind comments about our team, the care provided, and the atmosphere within the home...
My Dad has been a resident in the care home since early February '26. He was hesitant with his new surroundings for a few weeks. I would say he has now settled very well. For him, the knowledge that carers are available at all times is an assurance. He seems to enjoy his meals very much and the home have ensured this is a social time for him by thoughtfully sitting him with other residents who will chat to him. The carers go about their busy roles with smiles, always a hello and have quickly understood my dad's needs and how to engage with him. The range of activities is tremendous and the residents are encouraged in a kind way to take part.
As a new care home visitor, the home is a pleasure to visit. The Managers and staff are very welcoming, approachable and available. They have responded to my requests efficiently and provided support and reassurance.
Thank you so much for your kind review. We're delighted to hear your dad has settled in well and is enjoying both the care and the social side of life at Milngavie. It's lovely to know our team has been able to support you both with reassurance and a warm welcome - we'll be sure to share your feedback with them.
I was really impressed with the facilities, care and support and staff. The cleanliness was excellent and staff were very welcoming. Well done! Keep it up.

As the niece of a resident in globes, in early 2025. I was extremely concerned at the ineffective and unsatisfactory management team. The staff appeared isolated, distressed lacked motivation and leaderships. With the introduction of both managers and deputy manager, there is new welcoming, professional and very pleasurable environment. It is an absolute joy to come to visit now, a deeper sense of trust and knowledge within the staff. I have a wonderful rapport with the deputy manager who is committed to her role. She has steadied the ship and is sending very positive and reassuring vibes to both residents and relatives.
Thank you for taking the time to review our home. We are thrilled to hear how happy you are with the improvements made. We are confident that Milngavie Manor will continue to provide exceptional care and support that your relative deserves.
Change in management over the last 4 years has been very unsettling and demoralising for the staff however with the new management in place there is a definite improvement. There is certainly a need for hospitality staff 7 days a week, particularly at the weekends when there is regularly no staff present.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're pleased to hear your positive comments about our staff and that you're noticing improvements with the new management. We also appreciate your feedback regarding hospitality cover at weekends.
My mum has been at Milngavie Manor Care Home for 6 weeks, and from the beginning she has been cared for so well - the staff let her be herself, they listen to her and keep her safe. It's such a weight off my mind that as her main carer, she is in the best of hands. The home helped arrange a Christmas Party for mum and her friends in one of the beautiful private rooms. It was a fantastic afternoon, and all the visitors were so impressed with the staff and the quality of the food. I'm so glad we found Milngavie Manor.
Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful feedback. We're delighted to hear that your mum has felt so well cared for and supported during her time at Milngavie Manor. As a family we are very happy with the care my sister receives. Staff are caring and attentive and recognise the needs of my sister putting appropriate measure in place as required. She feels safe and secure and is very comfortable. She has not participated in activities (of which there are plenty) but this is by choice. Staff are always positive and have encouraged participation. Overall, we are very happy to have chosen Milngavie Manor. She now regards this as home.

We had a great visit over two days with my mother. The staff were all extremely helpful, smily and polite. They gave us lunch with my mother in the private dining room and nothing was too much trouble. Several of the staff introduced themselves and chatted with me and my mother - who they all know and called her by name which was lovely. Each day I visited there was an activity going on and several residents joined in with it.
We're delighted to hear that you and your mother enjoyed your visit. It's wonderful to know our team made you feel welcome and that the private dining experience was memorable for you. We're proud that our staff know residents by name and take time to chat-it's those personal touches that matter...
Milngavie Manor has been a good choice of care home for our Mum. She has lived there for 7 years, and her front line care has been excellent throughout. A few days ago my mother, a long term resident at Milngavie Manor, passed away at the home. The staff at Milngavie Manor had always excelled in the care that they offered and at this very difficult time it is difficult to know how they could have been better. The care that Jackie received from the staff and the NHS nurses who attended was everything we could have possibly hoped for and the empathy that was shown to me as a relative clearly illustrated their genuine concern for the dying and the grieving. Some of the staff had known my mother for the whole five years or so she was there and bonds had formed - these are not carers who just come in to get the job done; they live the job. Thank you to all at Milngavie Manor; you gave my mother a genuine quality of life in her last years and a peaceful and dignified end that I will always be grateful for.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share these heartfelt words during such a difficult time. We are deeply sorry for your loss and truly honored that Milngavie Manor was entrusted with Jackie's care over the past five years.
Your comments mean a great deal to our team. We...
