As the niece of a resident in globes, in early 2025. I was extremely concerned at the ineffective and unsatisfactory management team. The staff appeared isolated, distressed lacked motivation and leaderships. With the introduction of both managers and deputy manager, there is new welcoming,
professional and very pleasurable environment. It is an absolute joy to come to visit now, a deeper sense of trust and knowledge within the staff. I have a wonderful rapport with the deputy manager who is committed to her role. She has steadied the ship and is sending very positive and reassuring vibes to both residents and relatives.

Several outstanding members of staff in all the departments.
Change in management over the last 4 years has been very unsettling and demoralising for the staff however with the new management in place there is a definite improvement. There is certainly a need for hospitality staff 7 days a week,
particularly at the weekends when there is regularly no staff present.

My mum has been at Milngavie Manor Care Home for 6 weeks, and from the beginning she has been cared for so well - the staff let her be herself, they listen to her and keep her safe. It's such a weight off my mind that as her main carer, she is in the best of hands. The home helped arrange a
Christmas Party for mum and her friends in one of the beautiful private rooms. It was a fantastic afternoon, and all the visitors were so impressed with the staff and the quality of the food. I'm so glad we found Milngavie Manor.

As a family we are very happy with the care my sister receives. Staff are caring and attentive and recognise the needs of my sister putting appropriate measure in place as required. She feels safe and secure and is very comfortable. She has not participated in activities (of which there are plenty)
but this is by choice. Staff are always positive and have encouraged participation. Overall, we are very happy to have chosen Milngavie Manor. She now regards this as home.

We had a great visit over two days with my mother. The staff were all extremely helpful, smily and polite. They gave us lunch with my mother in the private dining room and nothing was too much trouble. Several of the staff introduced themselves and chatted with me and my mother - who they all know
and called her by name which was lovely. Each day I visited there was an activity going on and several residents joined in with it.

A few days ago my mother, a long term resident at Milngavie Manor, passed away at the home. The staff at Milngavie Manor had always excelled in the care that they offered and at this very difficult time it is difficult to know how they could have been better. The care that Jackie received from the
staff and the NHS nurses who attended was everything we could have possibly hoped for and the empathy that was shown to me as a relative clearly illustrated their genuine concern for the dying and the grieving. Some of the staff had known my mother for the whole five years or so she was there and bonds had formed - these are not carers who just come in to get the job done; they live the job. Thank you to all at Milngavie Manor; you gave my mother a genuine quality of life in her last years and a peaceful and dignified end that I will always be grateful for.

My Mum has been in Milngavie Manor for seven years now, so you can say we are very happy with the care and attention she receives. Mum is now 99 years old and knows the staff very well, she has seen some come and go and some who have left over the past few years still come to visit her.
The home
is very much to our taste regarding cleanliness and the staff always have her dressed smartly and her hair is always done. The food is first class and she very much enjoys it. Activities are extremely good albeit she doesn’t always join in as she gets tired sometimes.
The home has a mini-bus and Mum and other residents enjoy being taken out on outings fairly regularly. Very pleased with the new manageress who is always ready to listen to any concerns that we may have.
I would thoroughly recommend this home to others who are looking for a care home where they can be assured that their loved ones will be well looked after.

After my father had a severe stroke, I came to visit the home daily for a few hours over a ten-day period whilst my family recovered from bouts of Covid. As a frequent, persistent visitor during that time, I was able to observe multiple "days in the life" of my father in the home. He has lived there
for one and a half years and this is the latest stage in his decline. The carers were superb, thoughtful, sensitive, caring in the complete sense of the word. Food was oof the scale excellent and enjoyed. The new manager was great, listened, acted, took on board feedback and was knowledgeable. Great nurses too, with the right medical treatments and proactivity. Deeply impressed.

We could not have found more loving and caring staff for our dad who had dementia and whose home was Milngavie Manor for the last two years. So supportive to my mum too. Speaks volumes about the calibre of their staff, that each evening after ending their shifts, they stopped by my dad's room, to
spend time with him and his children when he was on palliative care.
