Having reached the ripe old age of 100 and been living on her own for the last 40 odd years, finding somewhere new to live was never going to be an easy task. On her first visit, Peggy was immediately taken with the home. We then had the constant question, "When am I moving in?" Well, she is now very
much at home, enjoying all the home comforts, wonderful food and 5 star attention she is given.
She could not be happier.

Mum had a lovely respite stay at Dorking Manor, she really felt like she had a little holiday. My mum is a very poor eater but she reported that the food "was out of this world". She enjoyed the activities, especially the exercise sessions. Her care was amazing, she always looked immaculate, as did
her surroundings. Staff were always gentle and smiley in their approach. She returned home more engaged and stronger.

I have been at Dorking Manor Care Home for 4 months, and cannot fault the care and attention shown by all the staff. They are all so friendly and helpful, and nothing is too much trouble for them. If you have a problem that the staff can't deal with, the management are also very kind and caring. I am
enjoying my stay at Dorking Manor Care Home, and will be here for many more years.

Dad moved into Hindhead Place nearly 8 weeks ago. From the first informal visit to moving in day his needs and wishes were carefully considered. He was able to choose his own room, personalise it with his favourite armchair and belongings from home, which made moving in a relaxed more home from home
experience.
Dad enjoys spending time in his room reading yet equally enjoys dipping in and out of the varied activities and opportunities on offer each day. The daily exercise class has improved his mobility and dexterity somewhat.
Without exception the staff are friendly and attentive, they listen and respond to any matters or ideas as they arise.
Visiting is a pleasure and I leave knowing that dad is content, well cared for and safe. For my sister and I that is everything.

Hindhead Place Care Home is an attractive, brand-new care home. It is stylishly decorated and has lovely facilities, including well-designed bedrooms and suites, a cinema room, lounge areas, an activity room, and gardens. Most importantly, the staff are always friendly, approachable, and attentive.
They are quick to respond to any queries my mother or I may have. I have always felt welcome to visit, and the atmosphere seems upbeat. There is an imaginative offering of activities for those who would like to take part, as well as visits by entertainers. The fact that staff do not wear a uniform makes the place feel more like a community than a care home. Above all, I particularly appreciate the great care they have taken to get to know my mother since she has been there.

My son and I decided after over a year of caring for my husband with dementia that we needed a break. A fortunate accident led us to approaching Dorking Manor Care Home. Their very friendly reception of us alongside the attractive buidling and surroundings and obvious care of the residents by the
working staff, led us to booking a 2 week respite break. My husband seemed very content there and the staff showed great patience coping with his nightime incontinence.

The Home readily agreed to extending his stay by a further week when I became unwell. After the three weeks in the Home we brought him back to the family home and he seems to have settled back here very easily. His memory is virtually non-existent but the few comments he has made suggests he was quite happy to be in the Home. We hope to make use of the Home for further respite breaks.

Dear Anne, It was a very happy mistake for us too, we thoroughly enjoyed taking care of your husband whilst you and your son took a well earned break, he was a delight to care for. We very much look forward to helping you again whenever you are ready. In the meantime we have a regular coffee morning on the last Tuesday of each month from 11:00 a.m. you would all be very welcome to come in for a visit.

My wife became a resident of Charrington Manor 18 months ago due to the escalation of her dementia which meant she could no longer be cared for in the right manner at home. From the outset she has been completely happy living at Charrington Manor and has nothing but compliments for the team as do I.
She is kept animated through a variety of daily activities in house and on regular outings to local garden centres, shopping centres etc. Her appearance and personal care is very important to the team and she enjoys her regular manicures and hair styling. The quality of the food is always varied and delicious and they manage to find an excuse to serve tasty cakes and biscuits to the residents and their visitors on a daily basis with the addition of a cheeky Irish cream liqueur or sherry on a Sunday. She has never once complained about any aspect of her care and neither have I found any reason either. I too have been warmly welcomed into the Charrington Manor family and always enjoy my visits.

Since my mother-in-law became a resident at Dorking Manor, they have provided excellent service and care, and consequently she adjusted quickly to her new normal. The staff are amazing, and always keep me informed of her day to day. They are always friendly and available if I need to speak to them.
The home is spotless, and the food they provide, and various entertainments are first class. I am greatly impressed with their friendly and professional approach to all aspects of my mother-in-law's care.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the home to anyone looking for a caring and comfortable care home for their loved ones.

I can't speak highly enough of Charrington Manor. From the moment we first visited, we felt a genuine sense of warmth and compassion from the entire team. The staff are incredibly caring, patient, and supportive - they go above and beyond to ensure every resident feels safe, respected, and loved.
What
really sets this home apart is the amazing timetable of activities. There's always something engaging and meaningful happening, from creative sessions and music to gardening, gentle exercise classes, and themed events. The team puts a lot of thought into tailoring activities to the interests and needs of the residents, and it makes such a positive difference in their daily lives.

My mum has been at Charrington Manor 7 months now, and has settled in very well. She is mobile, active, but no longer drives and can be a bit forgetful. The team at Charrington have really got to know here well and helped her adjust to her new life. She was living with my dad, who is no longer with
us, until very recently, so moving from your own home with your own garden, into a care home was a big step.

She particularly enjoys the social programme, which is extremely active and inclusive. Various different activities and entertainers , which she mostly enjoys. She also get to do the gardening whiz she has enjoyed all of her life.

If we ever have an issue (which are minor) the team at Charrington are extremely responsive and help immediately. I am kept very well informed even when I away. With the daily posts, I know more about what my mum is unto than I ever did.

Thank you to the team at Charrington Manor, I thoroughly recommend you to anyone

My mother has lived at Charrington Manor since 2022. I explored many care homes before choosing Charrington Manor and cannot speak highly enough of the care and support Mum receives within this loving & homely environment. The staff who I have come to know through their care and attention to Mum
are exceptional, including the leadership of the home. I have witnessed joy, thoughtfulness, kindness, gentleness and dedication within their working days. Supporting and caring for vulnerable people demands a high level of practical skills and emotional intelligence; it is challenging on many levels and yet the Home Makers are always calm and smiling when they engage with any of the residents. Adherence to dignity and choice is key. The range of activities is extraordinary, inclusive of weekly outings. Mum loves the gardens and balcony. One of Mum's friends who visits other care homes, recognises Charrington Manor as the best and would be happy to move there themselves if the time comes.

My Dad has happily been a resident at Charringtons for over two years. He receives excellent care from all the staff who show him such kindness and thoughtfulness be it helping him with his personal care, popping in for a chat and a welcome cup of tea to ensuring his medical needs are administered
appropriately. As a visitor I am always greeted warmly by all staff and they are quick to keep me informed of any issues relating to Dad. The support doesn't stop with Dad, during a particularly difficult family time the staff have been so supportive of both me and my sister - I can't thank them enough for this. The facilities, the entertainment and the visits are excellent, Dad was even encouraged to set up and manage a library in the Quiet Room - something that interested him greatly.
I can't recommend Charringtons enough and hope that Dad continues to live a very happy life in such a wonderful home.
