Overall Experience
My partners mother was cared for and looked after during her stay. She loved the home and the staff. The room was always clean and she always looked immaculate when we visited. The food was good and she enjoyed her food always clearing her plate.
Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and the environment and activities were very good.

It's the small things that say the most, and someone being immaculately turned out every time family visits is exactly what our Homemakers set out to get right. Lovely to hear the food went down so well too - a cleared plate is about the highest praise our kitchen can get. We're really glad your...

Overall Experience
Concerned by the 2023 CQC rating? Our experience - Montague House is exemplary. Mum and Dad moved in from hospital in June 2023. Care for them both was good then and has improved significantly, especially since the arrival of a new Manager in 2024. Mum passed last year. Dad lives there as a resident, enjoying life there, saying it is the best place he could be. Montague House provides a kind, safe, caring environment. Staff are thoughtful, considerate, compassionate, smiling, and helpful to residents and relatives alike. Nursing and medical support is thorough and always on hand. Individual care plans are established, frequently updated and are closely monitored by the Manager. Food is to a high standard, varied and personalised if needed. It is a very well-run home. You can be confident it is a good place for loved ones to live.
Pay a visit - see how good it really is.

Overall Experience
My wife is nearly 3 weeks into a 4-week period of respite care. I have been very impressed with the care and attention she has received. There is a welcoming atmosphere as soon as you enter the building. Staff are very friendly and supportive, doing all they can to meet the needs of residents. My wife has Parkinsons/dementia so her needs are complex. Her room is spacious with appropriate furniture and an adjustable height bed for her safety. Medication is given on time, and I am kept fully informed of any issues that have arisen due to her medical condition. Food is nutritious, with a varied menu to meet all dietary requirements. I have confidence that she is receiving a high level of care. There are a variety of activities every day to suit all interests. The Bistro café bar is the regular informal meeting place, the full facilities being available to both residents and visitors. If my wife had to be placed in permanent care, I would have no hesitation in recommending Montague House.

Overall Experience
My mother went into Cambridge Grove for respite care after almost three weeks in hospital, and she was made to feel welcome from the moment she arrived. The staff and carers were consistently friendly, kind, patient and supportive, and always keeping her comfort and well-being in mind. Any small issue was handled quickly and thoughtfully, and the team went beyond what one would expect when my mother misplaced her glasses twice, the staff found them, and even one staff member returned them in person after she had returned home. There was a huge variety of activities, somewhat scuppered by the heatwave. Thank you to everyone for the exceptional care during my mother's recovery.
↩Reply from Rubina Arunagiri, Home Manager at Cambridge Grove Care Home
It's heartening to know your mother felt so welcome from her very first day with us, especially after a long spell in hospital - settling in comfortably matters enormously after a stay like that. The small things you mention say a great deal: noticing when something's amiss, finding her glasses,...

This last week the home has been calm and staff so friendly and helpful. Nothing is any trouble. The home has smelt lovely and there are always little snacks available in the bistro. The home ambassador and the staff always make me feel welcome.

Overall Experience
Our dad moved into Cambridge Grove 4 months ago. He has been so happy since he arrived which has been such a relief to all of us. It is an incredibly hard decision to place a vulnerable parent in care but he is so well looked after here and we get to enjoy spending time with him, taking him out and just hanging out with tea and cake. The facilities are excellent, the food is excellent and the staff are wonderful.
I will always be grateful that we found Cambridge Grove when we did. It has been an incredible community through a difficult time and allowed us to experience much more joy in this precious time.

We recently moved from another care home and are much happier with the levels of staffing and general calm, welcoming environment and atmosphere over the previous (which was at the same price point and highly regarded in the area). Overall Experience
As a family, we were extremely grateful to Cambridge Grove for providing a short-term respite care home stay for my mother that lasted two and a half weeks, after her live-in care arrangements fell through. The environment of the home for this type of stay was very comfortable, more akin to a hotel than a care home or other institutional setting. The café area was a lovely spot to socialise and unwind, and most importantly, we were very impressed by the friendliness, care, and compassion shown by the staff towards my mother and her needs. We sincerely thank them for making my mother's stay restorative, relaxing, and enjoyable. All her relatives who visited her during this period shared our gratitude and were equally impressed by Cambridge Grove.

Overall Experience
The team at Cambridge Grove set a very high bar when it comes to community care home living. I am a friend of a resident who moved into Cambridge Grove two years ago and she is literally thriving, not just existing. From top level management who are approachable and friendly, dedicated and passionate about thinking outside of the box, outstanding leadership which filters down to each and every team member. The setting is beautiful and of the highest standard without losing its charm, the atmosphere is warm, welcoming, feeling like home from home with that extra special touch. My friend thinks of it as her extended holiday where she can get pampered in the salon, enjoy fine dining with family and friends, take part in as much or as little as she chooses with the full and varied activities schedule. The rooms are spacious and you can add your own personal touch. We are invited to regularly join in the activities and thoroughly enjoy them, particularly the live performances: Sunset magic.

Overall Experience
Cambridge Grove is a fantastic residential home. Every need of my mothers has been met and their care is second to none. Their attention to detail is great. Everyday the home hosts activities for Mum to join in with which are all aimed appropriately for the people living in the home. The correct balance of entertainment, physical, mental challenges, fun etc. The food at the care home is always being raved about too. The communication with us has also been second to none. Any problems at all, they contact us immediately. Any needs or requests we have are also met with immediate action and help. This provides us with peace of mind that Mum is getting the best care possible at a difficult time in her life.

Nan was a resident at Cambridge Grove and absolutely loved every minute she spent there. She always said how friendly the staff were and how much opportunity she had to join in with activities. She loved going down to the cinema with some of her friends from her floor and watching different movies every week. Nan really enjoyed the food and like how she was given different options and could request things given enough time. We also celebrated her birthday in their private dining room and the person who looked after us down there was brilliant. We were welcomed with flowers and a card from the heads of department and Nan had a lovely send off with many staff saying goodbye. Overall our experience at Cambridge Grove was amazing and I'd definitely recommend to anyone looking for somewhere for their loved one to stay

Overall Experience
Cambridge Grove is certainly not your average Care Home! The building and grounds are modern and clean, the staff are all friendly and welcoming, the residents are offered lots of activities to keep them busy and entertained, the food is great and the care exemplary. My mum moved into Cambridge Grove mid 2025 after initially staying for respite. We knew after her respite stay that there was nowhere else that we would want her to be! She has benefitted so much from the social interaction from staff and other residents and it is such a relief to know that she is safe, well fed and cared for so well by the staff.
We visit regularly and are always made to feel welcome - it's become like a home from home for us too. My children love to visit their Grandma and are always spoilt with lots of attention from the staff and residents too. It's a great place to be able to carry on making happy memories together as a family.

From the time my in-laws came to live at the home together in June 2023 I have found the care and support of staff to be of a good standard.
