I have rated Milngavie Manor Care Home highly in all categories. Their support and care for my aunt is first class

Mum, with dementia and extremely poor vision, often "sees" people we can't. She will talk away to them and one day she addressed the nurses' station (the staff were engaged elsewhere). She said "I'd like to thank you all for everything you do. I'm very appreciative and the more so when I can see how busy you are. Thank you." I am convinced this was the "real" her speaking sincerely, and I would like all the staff to know this. We, her family, also share these sentiments. Thank you Milngavie Manor for all you do. X

Mum had been in Milngavie Manor for 3 months and I have been very touched by the care and compassion shown by every member of staff. The atmosphere is calm, bright and friendly. There are lots of opportunities for Mum to engage in activities - she chooses not to!

I don't hesitate to give Milngavie Manor five stars for the care given to my father for several months. The care was exceptional due to the real interest in my father, not just attending to his needs but an interest in him personally. The staff made an effort to get to know him and his family and really made him feel at home. I was so impressed each time I visited my father. He was always nicely dressed and very content. There was always something going to engage his interest from musical classes to afternoons out. The effort from the fabulous staff was always second to none from a friendly smile and a cup of tea to up to date reports. Milngavie Manor was always clean and welcoming. Highly recommended!

My brother-in-law was admitted to Milngavie Manor for two weeks respite. During this period the staff managed to give him the confidence to do things he hadn't been able to do in the previous 2 months. He was treated with care respect and dignity by ALL members of staff at Milngavie Manor. Management kept my sister informed of all aspects of the care provided to G, I can only describe the care as exceptional, from the care workers management, chefs, housekeeping and admin staff. Thank you for all your support.

We have been extremely happy with the level of care and attention my dad received at Milngavie Manor. The staff were always friendly, attentive, and caring, making him feel comfortable and well looked after. The facilities were excellent, and there was a great range of activities available, helping residents stay engaged and active. We were very impressed with the overall standard of care and support provided. I would thoroughly recommend this care home to anyone looking for a welcoming and professional environment for a loved one.

The staff have worked hard to settle mum into Malngavie Manor Care Home. They have been timely in keeping the family updated with any changes mum has experienced. She is taking part in many of the excellent activities on offer. The staff all know mum's name and are aware of her needs. Management has been very good and always have time for a chat and support.

The senior management team inspire real confidence by their actions, advice and care. My wife is responding to the care in a most rewarding way and it is so pleasing for me to see the results. All the staff, and not just the carers, are so pleasant and helpful - their special qualities are a wonder to me. My heartfelt thanks to all.

I was anxious about mums first stay for respite care, but I couldn't have been more happy. From the minute we entered, we were treated like family. Having worked in a caring setting myself. I was struck by the 'whole team' approach with everyone going out of their way to make mum's stay as enjoyable as possible. Nothing was too much trouble, and the place was spotless. We will be looking for further respite in future and just hope we are able to return to Milngavie. Thank you.

Delighted with the recent respite care experience at Milngavie Manor. My mum had never been for a break before, so all of us were anxious about what to expect. We needn't have worried as the staff, management team and facilities were everything we could have wished for. Mum was looked after with care, kindness and humour, and the environment, room activities and person-centred care were absolutely excellent. We hope to use Milngavie Manor again in the future.

My Dad has been a resident in the care home since early February '26. He was hesitant with his new surroundings for a few weeks. I would say he has now settled very well. For him, the knowledge that carers are available at all times is an assurance. He seems to enjoy his meals very much and the home have ensured this is a social time for him by thoughtfully sitting him with other residents who will chat to him. The carers go about their busy roles with smiles, always a hello and have quickly understood my dad's needs and how to engage with him. The range of activities is tremendous and the residents are encouraged in a kind way to take part.

As a new care home visitor, the home is a pleasure to visit. The Managers and staff are very welcoming, approachable and available. They have responded to my requests efficiently and provided support and reassurance.

As the niece of a resident in globes, in early 2025. I was extremely concerned at the ineffective and unsatisfactory management team. The staff appeared isolated, distressed lacked motivation and leaderships. With the introduction of both managers and deputy manager, there is new welcoming, professional and very pleasurable environment. It is an absolute joy to come to visit now, a deeper sense of trust and knowledge within the staff. I have a wonderful rapport with the deputy manager who is committed to her role. She has steadied the ship and is sending very positive and reassuring vibes to both residents and relatives.

Change in management over the last 4 years has been very unsettling and demoralising for the staff however with the new management in place there is a definite improvement. There is certainly a need for hospitality staff 7 days a week, particularly at the weekends when there is regularly no staff present.

My mum has been at Milngavie Manor Care Home for 6 weeks, and from the beginning she has been cared for so well - the staff let her be herself, they listen to her and keep her safe. It's such a weight off my mind that as her main carer, she is in the best of hands. The home helped arrange a Christmas Party for mum and her friends in one of the beautiful private rooms. It was a fantastic afternoon, and all the visitors were so impressed with the staff and the quality of the food. I'm so glad we found Milngavie Manor.

As a family we are very happy with the care my sister receives. Staff are caring and attentive and recognise the needs of my sister putting appropriate measure in place as required. She feels safe and secure and is very comfortable. She has not participated in activities (of which there are plenty) but this is by choice. Staff are always positive and have encouraged participation. Overall, we are very happy to have chosen Milngavie Manor. She now regards this as home.

We had a great visit over two days with my mother. The staff were all extremely helpful, smily and polite. They gave us lunch with my mother in the private dining room and nothing was too much trouble. Several of the staff introduced themselves and chatted with me and my mother - who they all know and called her by name which was lovely. Each day I visited there was an activity going on and several residents joined in with it.

Milngavie Manor has been a good choice of care home for our Mum. She has lived there for 7 years, and her front line care has been excellent throughout. Care Staff are kind, and thoughtful in their work, showing compassion, respect and dignity towards residents. The home environment is comfortable, clean, warm & welcoming. All members of staff across the home are cheerful as they go about their day, interacting with residents in a warm and friendly way. The home has a warm and personal atmosphere.

The care my mum receives is excellent . She chooses what activities to attend and enjoys her meals. I am always met with smiling faces from the staff. I am kept informed of any concerns about my mum.
