A beautiful home, my mum is settled and well looked after at Verwood house. Staff are very friendly and they even offer holistic treatments including relaxation with sound therapy and gongs, my mum has always loved them. Gorgeous grounds and amazing entertainment team

As a family we are united in our praise for Verwood House. Mum spent 3 weeks respite & she was looked after so well & her different health needs catered for so well by the staff. She thoroughly enjoyed all of the activities & made a lot of new friends. Alicia was just excellent .. she dealt with all communication thoroughly & thoughtfully & we would have no hesitation in using Verwood House in the future & recommending to anyone looking for excellent care.

On visiting Upton Manor Care Home for the first time, we felt the home had a fresh, modern clean welcoming environment. From reception staff to all team members and managers all were professional, friendly and helpful. All enquiries were responded to in a timely manner. We felt our mothers caring needs could and were met and she settled into respite care. She enjoyed the events, varied menu and talking to other residents in this welcoming and secure home.

I visited the home today, safe to say I was very impressed, the home was very welcoming, staff friendly and helpful, I saw a couple of instances of the staff with the residents and I felt very touched by how they were treated and looked after. Would highly recommend.

I was very weak when I arrived at care home. I was treated with dignity and respect. Staff were very kind, caring and helpful. I felt completely safe. As I grew stronger I was able to walk around and talk to staff, there were activities but no pressure to join in if I was tired, kitchen staff excellent and polite also. Thank you.

On visiting my friend Margaret, I have found the staff very polite and friendly, also the care home is very clean. Nice to see you have security on doors. I had a lunch one day, it was presented very nice and enjoyed the company of the other ladies.

My husband has been well looked after. He was ill in hospital for 3 months. The perfect place for respite. Good entertainment. We can visit at any time during the day. He enjoys his meals and all staff are superb and caring.

From her first day, mura has repeatedly said how happy and at home she feels at Upton Manor Care Home. The staff act in a professional manner whilst being, without exception, kind and caring. There is a happy, secure atmosphere which encourages residents to be independent & try different activities. The home has a welcoming atmosphere and is kept clean & fresh. Mum really enjoys the food and there are always snacks & drinks available. The new management make themselves available to discuss any enquiries and are usually visible around the home.

My mum has been a resident here for the last 3 years and it truly feels like part of the family. The staff have been incredibly warm, attentive + supportive. Its clear they go above and beyond to make sure all the residents feel comfortable and cared for. The daily entertainment offers something that is fun + engaging for all. It's a real community. After being cared for in her own home by her family, it was an adjustment for all when she came into the home. The staff have made mum feel welcome and they all have a smile for her or stop for a chat. It is heart warming to see the friendships she has developed with the staff. Our time visiting her is now quality time instead of rushing round, cleaning and cooking for her. Thank you.

I measure the quality of the care home by the people who work there. I am happy that my wife is very well looked after, she is treated with dignity and respect. She is safe and sounds - that gives me great peace of mind. The management team are friendly and approachable. The carers are simply fantastic! Everyone appears to get on, creating a warm atmosphere. I would definitely recommend Verwood House to others.

After a period of respite care, our mother moved into Verwood House on a permanent basis earlier this year. For us, the most important thing is the way in which the care staff have built a relationship with our mother, enabling her to recover from illness and participate in meals and activities at the home. They have taken the time to get to know her and her needs and treat her with dignity and attention in meeting those needs. She is encouraged to be active and engage with people as much as possible. Recent family visitors have also commented that there is a caring and friendly atmosphere at the home. Our mother's room is comfortable and warm; the facilities for dining and activities at the home are very good. On our visits we can observe that this excellent level of care and attention is given to all residents. After two months we have seen a clear improvement in our mother's physical health and feel that she is definitely in the right place.

The staff engage with residents well and encourage them to participate in the many activities run on a daily basis. The home is modern with a high standard of cleanliness.

Mum has been at Upton Manor for 2 years now. Mum, myself and my brother have all been treated with a great deal of kindness and understanding. The current manager has really gone out of his way to support Mum when she has become anxious and has been a real lifeline to us most especially as we do not live locally. The manager and the staff clearly put the residents needs at the heart of all they do for which we are extremely grateful.
