very helpful. a lovely place to visit dad.
We aim to be somewhere families are glad to come to, not just somewhere their dad is well looked after, so it is good to know Verwood House feels that way to you. Our Homemakers take a lot of care keeping the home spotless alongside everything else they do, and it is nice to hear that shows.
A beautiful home, my mum is settled and well looked after at Verwood house. Staff are very friendly and they even offer holistic treatments including relaxation with sound therapy and gongs, my mum has always loved them. Gorgeous grounds and amazing entertainment team
The gardens and the sound therapy sessions are two of the things we're proudest of here, so it's a real pleasure to hear they're both favourites of your mum's. She's very settled with us, and our team will be glad to know that comes across.
As a family we are united in our praise for Verwood House. Mum spent 3 weeks respite & she was looked after so well & her different health needs catered for so well by the staff. She thoroughly enjoyed all of the activities & made a lot of new friends. Alicia was just excellent .. she dealt with all communication thoroughly & thoughtfully & we would have no hesitation in using Verwood House in the future & recommending to anyone looking for excellent care.
Three weeks is a short stay to settle into somewhere new, so knowing your mum joined in with everything and came away with new friends is the best we could have hoped for. Communicating clearly and thoughtfully with families matters every bit as much as the care itself, and it's good to hear we got that right for all of you. Verwood House would happily welcome her back any time - and you with her.
I was very weak when I arrived at care home. I was treated with dignity and respect. Staff were very kind, caring and helpful. I felt completely safe. As I grew stronger I was able to walk around and talk to staff, there were activities but no pressure to join in if I was tired, kitchen staff excellent and polite also. Thank you.
Thank you for your kind review. We're so pleased to hear that you felt safe, respected, and well cared for during your stay with us. It's lovely to know our team supported you as you regained your strength, and that members of our team made a positive impression. It's very important to us to...
Very good two week stay. Lovely friendly staff. Well cared for throughout stay.
Thank you for taking the time to review us. It was an honour to care for your loved one, and we're so pleased you had a wonderful time.
My husband has been well looked after. He was ill in hospital for 3 months. The perfect place for respite. Good entertainment. We can visit at any time during the day. He enjoys his meals and all staff are superb and caring.
Thank you so much for your review. It was such a pleasure for us to have your husband with us for respite, and it was lovely to be part of his recovery. We would be delighted to welcome you all back any time.
My mum has been a resident here for the last 3 years and it truly feels like part of the family. The staff have been incredibly warm, attentive + supportive. Its clear they go above and beyond to make sure all the residents feel comfortable and cared for. The daily entertainment offers something that is fun + engaging for all. It's a real community. Thank you to all the staff for the incredible work you do every day.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share this lovely review. It is an honour to care for your mum, and we are so pleased that we are able to spend time getting to know her, and all our lovely families who come to visit. We will share this wonderful feedback with our team - it means so much.
After being cared for in her own home by her family, it was an adjustment for all when she came into the home. The staff have made mum feel welcome and they all have a smile for her or stop for a chat. It is heart warming to see the friendships she has developed with the staff. Our time visiting her is now quality time instead of rushing round, cleaning and cooking for her. Thank you.
We're also delighted that your visits can now be true quality time together. Supporting families as well as residents is an important part of what we do.
I measure the quality of the care home by the people who work there. I am happy that my wife is very well looked after, she is treated with dignity and respect. She is safe and sounds - that gives me great peace of mind. The management team are friendly and approachable. The carers are simply fantastic! Everyone appears to get on, creating a warm atmosphere. I would definitely recommend Verwood House to others.
Thank you for your recommendation and for placing your trust in Verwood House. We're honoured to be part of your wife's care journey, and we're always here for you both.
Very helpful staff and friendly Estelle thinks they are all lovely and she raves over to food and care.
Thank you so much for your lovely words. It's an honour to support Estelle and we're glad that she's so happy here. I will share your words with our wonderful team - it means so much.
After a period of respite care, our mother moved into Verwood House on a permanent basis earlier this year. For us, the most important thing is the way in which the care staff have built a relationship with our mother, enabling her to recover from illness and participate in meals and activities at the home. They have taken the time to get to know her and her needs and treat her with dignity and attention in meeting those needs. She is encouraged to be active and engage with people as much as possible. Recent family visitors have also commented that there is a caring and friendly atmosphere at the home. Our mother's room is comfortable and warm; the facilities for dining and activities at the home are very good. On our visits we can observe that this excellent level of care and attention is given to all residents. After two months we have seen a clear improvement in our mother's physical health and feel that she is definitely in the right place.
Thank you so much for sharing such a thoughtful review of your mother's move to Verwood House. We're delighted to hear that our care team's warmth and attention have helped her regain confidence and enjoy her days more fully. Your kind words mean a great deal to our whole team, and we're honoured to be part of your mother's continued wellbeing and comfort.
The staff engage with residents well and encourage them to participate in the many activities run on a daily basis. The home is modern with a high standard of cleanliness.
Thank you for your review Laurence. We are very proud of all our team who work so hard to provide engaging and interesting activities for our residents, and support them to live well with us.
After being diagnosed with Alzheimers several years ago it was decided for wife to go into Verwood House for a period of respite. I was impressed with the standard of care she recived and after a few weeks it was decided to make the arrangement permanent. That was three years ago and I visited her almost every day. Since then, whenever I visited she looked well care for and always smartly dressed. She was treated with kindness dignity and respect at all times. Where possible she was included in the varied programme of activities which she enjoyed. Not only did the staff care for my wife but they looked after me too and become like extended family. Sadly my wife recently passed away but I would take this opportunity to thank all the staff. Thank you Verwood House.
Thank you for taking the time to review us. It was an absolute pleasure to have not just your wife, but you as part of our family. We loved looking after her, and we're glad you recognise the kindness and dignity shown. You are always welcome here at Verwood House. Warm wishes from us all.
From our initial enquiry to relative moving in staff were very helpful and caring as finding a care home for a relative is very stressful. Verwood House felt like a happy family home staff always caring and helpful encouraging us to drop in anytime. My sister enjoyed the many activities that were organised everyday.
Thank you for taking the time to write your wonderful review. We are delighted that your sister enjoyed her time with us. All of the staff work incredibly hard to ensure our residents are cared for and happy. We all greatly appreciate your kind words. Best wishes.
They were able to take my husband at very short notice. He was given very good care, and they looked after me too. I was able to visit him often and appreciated the calm environment. Even though he was only under their care for a short amount of time, I am grateful for the support they provided.
Thank you for your lovely review. It was a privilege to be able to look after your husband for a short while, and support you through those days. Best wishes, Alicia.
Apart from the very nice and well-maintained building, which provides a safe and reassuring environment to both service users and families, the people absolutely make the difference. I have never failed to be impressed by the friendly and professional welcome and greetings I have received from any of the staff across all aspects of the business.
I am reassured my mother is not only in safe and thoughtful hands but absolutely receives the best care possible.
Thank you all.
Thank you, Roland, for your kind 5-star review. We're so grateful for your recognition of our team's warmth, care and professionalism. It's heartening to know that Verwood House feels homely and welcoming, and that your mother's care brings you reassurance. Your words mean a great deal to us.
