My mum has been a resident here for the last 3 years and it truly feels like part of the family. The staff have been incredibly warm, attentive + supportive. Its clear they go above and beyond to make sure all the residents feel comfortable and cared for. The daily entertainment offers something
that is fun + engaging for all. It's a real community. Thank you to all the staff for the incredible work you do every day.

My experience overall has been top 5 star. Only critism is the food quality, but know it has improved to satisfactory.

After being cared for in her own home by her family, it was an adjustment for all when she came into the home. The staff have made mum feel welcome and they all have a smile for her or stop for a chat. It is heart warming to see the friendships she has developed with the staff. Our time visiting her
is now quality time instead of rushing round, cleaning and cooking for her. Thank you.

I measure the quality of the care home by the people who work there. I am happy that my wife is very well looked after, she is treated with dignity and respect. She is safe and sounds - that gives me great peace of mind. The management team are friendly and approachable. The carers are simply
fantastic! Everyone appears to get on, creating a warm atmosphere. I would definitely recommend Verwood House to others.

After a period of respite care, our mother moved into Verwood House on a permanent basis earlier this year. For us, the most important thing is the way in which the care staff have built a relationship with our mother, enabling her to recover from illness and participate in meals and activities at
the home. They have taken the time to get to know her and her needs and treat her with dignity and attention in meeting those needs. She is encouraged to be active and engage with people as much as possible. Recent family visitors have also commented that there is a caring and friendly atmosphere at the home. Our mother's room is comfortable and warm; the facilities for dining and activities at the home are very good. On our visits we can observe that this excellent level of care and attention is given to all residents. After two months we have seen a clear improvement in our mother's physical health and feel that she is definitely in the right place.

Excellent staff in a well organised home.
The staff engage with residents well and encourage them to participate in the many activities run on a daily basis. The home is modern with a high standard of cleanliness.

After being diagnosed with Alzheimers several years ago it was decided for wife to go into Verwood House for a period of respite. I was impressed with the standard of care she recived and after a few weeks it was decided to make the arrangement permanent. That was three years ago and I visited her
almost every day. Since then, whenever I visited she looked well care for and always smartly dressed. She was treated with kindness dignity and respect at all times. Where possible she was included in the varied programme of activities which she enjoyed. Not only did the staff care for my wife but they looked after me too and become like extended family. Sadly my wife recently passed away but I would take this opportunity to thank all the staff. Thank you Verwood House.

From our initial enquiry to relative moving in staff were very helpful and caring as finding a care home for a relative is very stressful. Verwood House felt like a happy family home staff always caring and helpful encouraging us to drop in anytime. My sister enjoyed the many activities that were
organised everyday.

They were able to take my husband at very short notice. He was given very good care, and they looked after me too. I was able to visit him often and appreciated the calm environment. Even though he was only under their care for a short amount of time, I am grateful for the support they provided.

A professional care home that is well equipped, smart, clean, safe, and importantly doesn't forget to be caring. The building itself has a homely feel as soon as you walk in, and the friendly welcome you receive from any of the staff is a joy. The care provided is professional, proactive and
thoughtful.
Apart from the very nice and well-maintained building, which provides a safe and reassuring environment to both service users and families, the people absolutely make the difference. I have never failed to be impressed by the friendly and professional welcome and greetings I have received from any of the staff across all aspects of the business.
I am reassured my mother is not only in safe and thoughtful hands but absolutely receives the best care possible.

My family are deeply grateful to all the staff and carers at Verwood House Care Home for the wonderful kindness and care that they show to my mother. She is happy and looked after so well. The activities are wonderful and I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Verwood Care Home.

I personally have worked in many care/nursing homes and would highly recommend Verwood House to anyone considering using this care provider.
Overall the staff first and foremost are delightful, sympathetic, and respectful in every way possible towards the residents and their family and friends.
I
would personally be very proud to work in a facility of this caliber.
I have the greatest respect for the management and staff alike.

I am really pleased that Mum has settled so well. She tells me she is very happy and all the staff are very kind and helpful. The activities offered at the home are fabulous and Mum is trying new things and most importantly enjoying them. I have found the staff to be very professional and helpful. I
would recommend Verwood Care Home.

My mum needed to come down to Verwood House Care Home for palliative care. All of the team at Verwood House provided us with great support, from the management team in helping to expedite her move to Verwood, to the team of carers and support staff in providing her with compassion and dignity during
her final days.
I'd have no hesitation in recommending Verwood House Care Home to anyone looking for care for their elderly family or friends.

Collectively the team at Verwood House Care Home provided a first-rate service for Mum in the final weeks of her life.
They moved quickly to match our timelines at the start of the engagement, then without exception provided a level of care that made Mum feel valued, as relaxed as possible and at
ease in what were very difficult circumstances for her.
My family and I would happily recommend the team at Verwood Care Home to anyone else needing care for their loved ones in their final chapter!

My mother has lived at Verwood House, now, since February 2024, and she loves it there. The staff are wonderful and very helpful, and the wellbeing coach does an amazing job of organising entertainment events that all the residents enjoy. I really can't fault the home or the staff in any way, and
they always make me feel more than welcome when I travel from France, where I live, to visit Mum. I would recommend Verwood House wholeheartedly to anyone who has an elderly relative needing a care home.

The staff and management at Verwood House have all been extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful during my stay. Nothing was too much trouble. I came after my operation to a fractured hip. I now feel I have the confidence and ability to go back to my own home.
Verwood House is airy and bright with
a beautiful view to enjoy, making one feel at one with nature. The chefs are very accommodating, ensuring we have plenty of food and drink. I am grateful for helping me recover.

My wife and I attend Verwood House on a weekly basis with our two Bedlington Terrier dogs as part of the Pets as Therapy programme. The staff are always welcoming, smiling and positive and Verwood House is always very clean in all areas. Verwood House provides a homely environment with regular
entertainment. The residents are well cared for and often make positive comments to us about their care.
