First impression of the care home was modern, clean and welcoming. The staff were friendly and helpful. Thank you Lovell Place for making Mum and Dad feel at home during their three week respite stay which gave Mum the rest that she truly deserves.

Mum was able to get the rest she needed and deserved and when meeting her recently at an event in the community she looked great. I cannot praise Lovell Place Care Home enough for how welcome they made us feel and how well they looked after my parents in July when they stayed there for respite care. All of the staff/homemakers were soo caring and understanding and they realky could not have done anymore for them. In the 3 weeks
that they were there they went on numerous outings, took part in the daily activities and were made to feel like it was their home.
My Dad is an avid gardener so leaving his garden for 3 weeks was hard but he was able to potter around the gardens actively taking part and encouraged by all of the staff/homemakers this meant that my Mum could sit and read (which is what she likes to do) without worrying about my Dad as she knew that he was safe.
Both my parents loved being there and described it like a 5 star hotel.
When they went back home after the 3 weeks my Mum described herself as being refreshed and had already decided that she was going back there soon for another 'holiday'.

It was a pleasure to have had mum and dad stay with us and to see how they both enjoyed their stay. Dad helped us greatly with advice and help in the gardens with attending to the pots, raised flower and herb beds. Mum enjoyed reading her Kindle in the Bistro and it was wonderful to see them both enjoying the trips out and participating in activities. We are so pleased that both mum and dad enjoyed their stay and we are all looking forward to welcoming them back again for another stay. Mum and dad are hopefully coming to our up and coming MacMillan Coffee Morning where they can catch up with friends and the team over coffee and cake. My mum and dad were very well looked after here. Sometimes in very difficult circumstances.
Mums last few days after her stroke were as comfortable as they could be. The whole family would like to thank all the wonderful staff.

Lovely care home, clean, fresh, airy and modern. Staff very caring and kind.
Much needed respite care provided for dementia. Lots of activities and facilities, rooms very nice, like hotel rooms. Any concerns raised were answered professionally. Would use again.

Very happy with dads care here. He is confused at times and the carers are very kind and gentle with him. He has been out in the garden and use the restaurant sometimes. They check on his welfare regularly, which is very good.

From the moment we stepped into Lovell Place we knew it was the home for mum. Everyone we spoke to was so friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Unfortunately mum was only with you for 10 days, but the care she received was outstanding the compassion, empathy and kindness was exemplary.
The support given to us as a family was excellent. Thank you Lovell Place for looking after us all at such a difficult time.

Our parents initially moved to Lovell Place for a three-week stay and have since decided to stay. From our first contact, all members of staff have been so kind, helpful, caring towards my parents and our family. That kindness and positiveness have made this a lot easier than we could have imagined.
It is easy to discuss any concerns we may have. There is always a solution and we feel listened to and cared for. The activities organised here being a real positive, adding enjoyment to each day and helping to rekindle interest in people's lives in general. I can't thank you enough.

My 92 year old fathers health deteriorated and it became difficult for my mother and the family to care for him at home. A friend recommended Lovell Place. We were welcomed at one initial visit and given excellent advice and support by one of the staff members. This continued throughout his stay.
Dad
was admitted for a 2 week respite stay which was extended to 7 weeks before he passed away 24/3. We cannot fault the care both personal and nursing. All staff were professional and welcoming to my dad, my mother and his family. We cannot thank Lovell Place enough.

It was a battle to get my father-in-law here as he wanted to stay at home. Now he's here however he is happier, more confident and social. All his needs are taken care of by well trained caring staff who act more like extended family. Everything about Lovell Place is fabulous. All the staff from top

Mom has been at Lovell place for 3 months, we cannot praise and thank the staff enough for all their outstanding and kind help. We are so glad and feeling blessed that we found the right place. It's difficult to send mom to a new environment but she adjusts quickly and performance totally out of expectation.
Beautiful and spacious environment, lovely and friendly staff, delicious food, interesting activities, all of these make mom love her new home and feel safe there.

From his first day at Lovell Place Care Home, Dad was made to feel welcome. He was greeted with a box of biscuits and a pot plant for his room, which was large, clean and airy. The en-suite bathroom was big enough for the array of hoists that were needed. The communal areas are clean, fresh and brightly
decorated according to the season. The staff are wonderful, showing endless patience. They are always kind, greeting everyone with a warm smile. Lovell gives the care needed from residents to the final days, increasing the level of nursing as needed.

My mother has been at Lovell Place for 7 months now and I's like to say what a wonderful home it is. It is such a relief to know she is safe and being well cared for. The building itself, is bright and airy - especially as it is purpose built. Her room is lovely and we have made it very homely - we
were able to bring some of her own furniture. The staff are fantastic - always got time and always cherry despite being in a difficult job. You always get a warm welcome and I can whole heartedly recommend Lovell Place.

We would just like to say a big thank you to all the staff and we mean every single member, for all the care and compassion shown to our mum during her two years at Lovell Place Care Home.
It is a hard decision for anybody having to send a loved one into any care sector but please be assured this
care home is one of the best.
Mum had a social life again after moving to Lovell Place not only with other residents but she classed all the homemakers, nurses as her friends.
During her final week the care and compassion was not only there for mum but for us as a family. Providing us with meals, drinks and checking in on us at every opportunity. She proved to be a very strong lady and we know that was because of you all.
You all know how hard you work and how dedicated you are. Anyone thinking of looking for a care home should look no further.
The staff excel in there roles.
You should all be very proud of yourselves each and everyone. You will always be a big part of our lives. Thank you.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mum came into Lovell Place in September for 3 weeks of respite.
The staff were all lovely, happy, professional and very friendly.
My mum was very happy and would go again.
We would definitely recommend this care home and will definitely be using it again for my mum and my dad when needed. Very
well done and thank you Lovell Place.

What a lovely 5 star review to read, I will ensure that it shared with all the team at Lovell Place. I know it was a difficult decision for mum to come to us for a short respite stay but she soon settled in her new room and started to make friends. Mum has a great character and to see her enjoying various activities and spending time in the bistro area with your father when he visited was lovely to see. We do hope that mum and dad will visit again soon and they are always welcome to pop in for tea, coffee and attend any of events in the home. Daney has a proven record of transforming homes needing improvement, with notable success in raising CQC ratings. Before nursing, she worked in retail and ran a family business.
