We explored many other care homes and are very glad we chose Meryton Place. The welcoming atmosphere, friendliness of the staff, fabulous facilities and high standards of care at Meryton are reassuring. My father is being looked after with respect, kindness and dignity. Mum has been a resident at Meryton Place for about 6 months. Mum has always been independent, so staying in a care home has been very difficult and challenging. However, the friendly team at Meryton Place have been amazing, only helping and assisting Mum when required and maintaining privacy when possible.
Mum has even been on a few group trips, thanks to the persistence of staff. A visit to the Bath City Farm was a triumph and put a smile on Mum's face!
I recently had a few questions for the care team, these were answered quickly, comprehensively and to my satisfaction. I have been very happy with the care, support and respect the staff have given Mum. Consequently, Mum has made some very good friends with the staff and residents. Thanks very much for caring for my Mum. Best Wishes

I am the main carer for my Aunty, and unexpectedly I had to find a care home for her in May. This was obviously really upsetting for me, and I was scared about making the right decisions for my Aunty.


Right from the initial phone call the Ambassador was really friendly and reassuring. She understood

my concerns and I truely appreciated her support through such a difficult time for me.


The home itself is fantastic. It has everything my Aunty needs and the support is given at the level she wants. It's nice for me to visit the Bistro with her and have a coffee and catch up, without having to worry about anything related to her care.


The whole team are so supportive of us both. They always have a nice chat with me and I feel we are both in their care now. Everybody got to know my Aunty really quickly, and it's nice how they pop in regularly to check if she is ok or if she needs a hot drink or anything. I would 100% recommend Meryton Place, I genuinely can't think of a bad word to say.

Our dad recently moved in to Meryton Place after a stay in hospital and our experience could not have been better. From day 1, the team at Meryton were very professional and incredibly caring. They spent time with us to work through all the details of his admission, coordinated with the hospital, and
ensured dad was warmly welcomed in to his new room. At every step of the way, the team have been available to help us with any questions and provided unending support. Dad is enjoying getting settled and the team are going out of their way to make him comfortable and helping him get well. We could not be more grateful to all at Meryton Place. Our friend is 99 years. Has been at Meryton Place approx a year. Reception staff and care staff have given exemplary care with a friendly manner. She enjoys her meals her room has catered for all her needs. The reception staff have made us both welcome remembering our names and guiding us through the
IT signing in procedure nothing too much bother. Special displays on events as xmas, Mother's/Father's day in the lobbies are pleasurable to visitors/residents alike. To sit in their lounges/ quiet places. Garden has been thought out. Meryton Place is a place to recommend 10/10.

Mum was cared for by all the staff at Meryton with immense kindness and dignity.
Her medical needs were managed very competently and mum was happy to find new friends and try new activities when she was well enough to take part.

Our mum came to live at Meryton in August 2024. She was initially apprehensive and didn't settle too well, but she was suffering from dementia and had been in the same home looking after herself for 58 years, so it was a huge adjustment for her. The staff from all the departments made her feel as welcome
and as loved and cared for as they could and she soon seemed to settle. She made friends with some of the other ladies on her floor and it was lovely to see them all sat together at mealtimes and partake in the numerous activities. Unfortunately, she died just before Christmas, but my sister and I cannot fault the care that was given to her by all the homemakers and nurses and the communication we had in helping to decide what sort of care was appropriate at each stage. We ended up staying at the home for three days and two nights and were made very welcome and able to say goodbye in the best possible situation. We would 100% recommend Meryton Place to anyone looking for a caring home.

I cannot speak highly enough of Meryton Place. The home and all the staff made Mum's time there a relaxed and enjoyable time. This was her first time staying away from her own home and she was understandably nervous but she was made to feel so comfortable and welcome that she is happy to return. My

Mum spent two very happy weeks on respite care at Meryton Place Care Home, to enable myself and my sister to enjoy a holiday together. Knowing that Mum was so well looked after gave us peace of mind whilst we were away. Every aspect of Mum's stay was exceptional - caring and attentive staff, delicious
food, comfortable bedroom and welcoming communal areas. Mum was anxious about going for respite care but her experience was such that she is very happy to return next year whilst my sister and I enjoy a holiday together again.
On leaving Meryton Place, Mum said she couldn't fault anything which says it all. Thank you all for making Mum's stay such a lovely experience.

Meryton Place Care Home was such a wonderful choice. They do so much for the residents and include families at least once a month. This month we had a lovely wine and cheese evening accompanied by a wonderful harpist, playing beautiful music. The staff are caring and attentive and the home is beautiful.
Looking forward to August for our beach day.

My father became a resident of Meryton Place when it first opened in February 2023, having had an exceptionally bad experience at his previous care home. He lived at Meryton Place for 15 months and from day one, until he died, he was treated with respect and compassion. Becoming bedbound he needed a
lot of personal care which was delivered sensitively. The staff were always friendly, professional and extremely helpful. Never too busy to stop and discuss Dad's care and offer me support and empathy in what was a very difficult situation and time in our lives. Thank you to all at Meryton Place for doing such a good job. Absolute stars. We as a family are very grateful indeed.

Well, what can I say my Mother-in-law settled in from day 1. She had excellent care where she was before but Meryton Place was coming home for her. The staff have shown such care and kindness. She enjoys all social events which there are plenty. Also, the poem sums up how Mum feels about Meryton Place.

I have visited many local care homes over the last 30 years but the welcome at Merton Place is exceptional. We have only visited our friend twice but each time we were immediately offered coffee and cake and both were delicious! Our friend seems happy and well cared for and clearly enjoys the ample
food!

My father moved in 8 months ago and was made very welcome. The staff are all very friendly and the assessment and registration process were very efficient. The rooms are spacious, individualised and well-equipped. The food is excellent with a great variety to suit all tastes. The range of activities
is very good with resident's tastes and suggestions taken into account. The carers are very engaging and the time to talk to residents to get to know them properly and assigned carers are consistent.

We are extremely satisfied with all aspects of Meryton Place.
All staff are pleasant and caring and treat Dad as an individual.
He has no complaints about the food, and portion sizes are perfect for his requirements.

Congratulations Meryton Place Care Home you have taken care homes to a whole new level. The homemakers provide an exceptionally high standard of care and support. Everyone is very attentive to individual needs and very person-centred - nothing is too much trouble. Residents are treated with respect
and dignity. There are plenty of activities for residents to participate in - should they wish. I recently attended the open day and it was wonderful to listen to a resident speak about his participation in baking scones. He spoke with passion and pride about what he had achieved. The food I've sampled is beautifully cooked, delicious and well-presented. One staff member does an amazing job with the laundry and the clothes are clean and ironed. The nurses keep me well informed on my father's health and any concerns. I have such feel-good vibes on my visits and 100% feel without a shadow of a doubt this is the best place for my father to spend the rest of his days.

Based in the Southwest, she balances her professional life by spending her time stewarding at Glastonbury festivals, reading new books, and enjoying life with her four children and silly dog.

My name is Dorina, and I am excited to announce that I am the Clinical Lead here at Meryton Place Care Home.


I joined Meryton at Hamberley care home in January 2023 as Clinical Lead. Before this role, the Clinical Services Manager at Cliveden Manor Nursing Home, Signature in Buckinghamshire. During my tenure at Cliveden, I deputised the Manager, oversaw and led the home from a clinical perspective, mentored staff, and supported residents and families.


I graduated in Nursing and have a degree in Management. I am enthusiastic and always aim for the highest standards of care.


When I am not busy, I love visiting and exploring the countryside.

Sarah joined Meryton Place to continue a career in customer-driven sectors. Sarah understands the importance of moving to a care home is a big step, which is why she takes a hand-holding approach every step of the way to assist residents and their families to be fully supported throughout their life-changing decision.


From the initial enquiry through to moving in, new residents and their families are given guidance, emotional support and a warm welcome to help make the transition a smooth one. It is important to Sarah to support the ethos of person-centred care, be approachable and offer the required reassurance.
