Mum was cared for by all the staff at Meryton with immense kindness and dignity.
Her medical needs were managed very competently and mum was happy to find new friends and try new activities when she was well enough to take part.

Thank you to everyone who helped mum live the best life she could in the circumstances.

Our mum came to live at Meryton in August 2024. She was initially apprehensive and didn't settle too well, but she was suffering from dementia and had been in the same home looking after herself for 58 years, so it was a huge adjustment for her. The staff from all the departments made her feel as welcome and as loved and cared for as they could and she soon seemed to settle. She made friends with some of the other ladies on her floor and it was lovely to see them all sat together at mealtimes and partake in the numerous activities. Unfortunately, she died just before Christmas, but my sister and I cannot fault the care that was given to her by all the homemakers and nurses and the communication we had in helping to decide what sort of care was appropriate at each stage. We ended up staying at the home for three days and two nights and were made very welcome and able to say goodbye in the best possible situation. We would 100% recommend Meryton Place to anyone looking for a caring home.

I cannot speak highly enough of Meryton Place. The home and all the staff made Mum's time there a relaxed and enjoyable time. This was her first time staying away from her own home and she was understandably nervous but she was made to feel so comfortable and welcome that she is happy to return. My sister and I were also welcomed and made to feel part of the Meryton family from the start. Thank you all so much.

Mum spent two very happy weeks on respite care at Meryton Place Care Home, to enable myself and my sister to enjoy a holiday together. Knowing that Mum was so well looked after gave us peace of mind whilst we were away. Every aspect of Mum's stay was exceptional - caring and attentive staff, delicious food, comfortable bedroom and welcoming communal areas. Mum was anxious about going for respite care but her experience was such that she is very happy to return next year whilst my sister and I enjoy a holiday together again.

On leaving Meryton Place, Mum said she couldn't fault anything which says it all. Thank you all for making Mum's stay such a lovely experience.

Meryton Place Care Home was such a wonderful choice. They do so much for the residents and include families at least once a month. This month we had a lovely wine and cheese evening accompanied by a wonderful harpist, playing beautiful music. The staff are caring and attentive and the home is beautiful. Looking forward to August for our beach day.

My father became a resident of Meryton Place when it first opened in February 2023, having had an exceptionally bad experience at his previous care home. He lived at Meryton Place for 15 months and from day one, until he died, he was treated with respect and compassion. Becoming bedbound he needed a lot of personal care which was delivered sensitively. The staff were always friendly, professional and extremely helpful. Never too busy to stop and discuss Dad's care and offer me support and empathy in what was a very difficult situation and time in our lives. Thank you to all at Meryton Place for doing such a good job. Absolute stars. We as a family are very grateful indeed.

Well, what can I say my Mother-in-law settled in from day 1. She had excellent care where she was before but Meryton Place was coming home for her. The staff have shown such care and kindness. She enjoys all social events which there are plenty. Also, the poem sums up how Mum feels about Meryton Place. So keep doing what you do! Thank you to all the staff from all the family.

I have visited many local care homes over the last 30 years but the welcome at Merton Place is exceptional. We have only visited our friend twice but each time we were immediately offered coffee and cake and both were delicious! Our friend seems happy and well cared for and clearly enjoys the ample food!

My father moved in 8 months ago and was made very welcome. The staff are all very friendly and the assessment and registration process were very efficient. The rooms are spacious, individualised and well-equipped. The food is excellent with a great variety to suit all tastes. The range of activities is very good with resident's tastes and suggestions taken into account. The carers are very engaging and the time to talk to residents to get to know them properly and assigned carers are consistent.

Congratulations Meryton Place Care Home you have taken care homes to a whole new level. The homemakers provide an exceptionally high standard of care and support. Everyone is very attentive to individual needs and very person-centred - nothing is too much trouble. Residents are treated with respect and dignity. There are plenty of activities for residents to participate in - should they wish. I recently attended the open day and it was wonderful to listen to a resident speak about his participation in baking scones. He spoke with passion and pride about what he had achieved. The food I've sampled is beautifully cooked, delicious and well-presented. One staff member does an amazing job with the laundry and the clothes are clean and ironed. The nurses keep me well informed on my father's health and any concerns. I have such feel-good vibes on my visits and 100% feel without a shadow of a doubt this is the best place for my father to spend the rest of his days.

Mum has been in Meryton Place Care Home for about 3 months now, and we have nothing but praise for the care, staff and facilities here.
Everybody ensured the move and settling in process went smoothly for Mum and the initial high level of care and support has continued on a day-to-day basis.
Facilities and rooms are excellent. Mum particularly loves the spa bathroom and garden. There are regular activities and lovely food.

All staff are friendly, caring and always happy to help with any requests - it’s a lovely place

The facilities here are exceptional and the staff are lovely - friendly and nothing is too much trouble. My mother-in-law was made to feel at home straight away and has settled in very well in just a few days. This feels like a luxury hotel and is nothing like the care homes one normally experiences. I can't thank the staff enough for how they look after and care for my relative.

Dad has only been in residence for a couple of weeks in this brand-new home but has nothing but praise for the experience. I can't fault anything, the place the room all the staff are all brilliant. After seven months of living with my wife and myself and fourteen years previously living alone and independently, he has been made very welcome and comfortable and settled immediately. He has not had the chance to join any activities in this short time.
