When I approached the care home and asked if Football Memories was something the residents would be interested in, I received a very positive and enthusiastic
Every time I go to Newton House, I am given a warm welcome by all members of staff - some who know me, some who don't. And the welcome is always the same, regardless of the staff role.
Staff members always join in the Football Memories sessions, and exhibit a very positive, patient and caring attitude towards residents during the sessions, and also when transporting residents to and from the sessions.
Staff also invite residents families and friends to the sessions, making the care home a vital hub of the community.
Newton House is a very friendly and enjoyable place to visit, and there is always a wide range of activities for residents to take part in.
I have no hesitation in recommending this well run, and welcoming care home
Plenty variety of activities, visits and things to do. Great selection of food and a lovely cafe where visitors can meet with
As well as the quality of care, we have been reassured that we are kept informed of his well being from staff, when there has been a doctor visit or if just not his usual self. This has been a godsend knowing that this level of care and thought is in place, especially when we are away for a number of days and are unable to visit.
Staff are all friendly and polite and we're all on first name terms with them. The relaxed environment makes our time visiting more welcoming.

My name is Kerry-Anne and I am the Wellbeing & Lifestyle Coach at Newton House Care Home. My role involves providing well-being support for our residents & staff, in addition to organizing events and activities, for all to attend, especially our residents to make their stay at Newton House fulfilling, stimulating, and enjoyable. My previous experience includes working in brain injury rehabilitation and supporting victims of crime with Victim Support Scotland, while obtaining my Psychology Degree. I am an avid true crime lover and enjoy watching documentaries and listening to podcasts in my free time.
My name is Amanda, and I am the Business Administrator at Newton House Care Home. My role involves managing finances, including payroll and fees for the care home, as well as offering support to our relatives and team members. I have worked in the care sector for over 11 years and during that time, have worked to achieve an Honours and Master’s degrees in Psychology. I started as a care assistant and an activities coordinator before moving on to administration, which I feel has helped me to develop a deep understanding of working in care, as well as a firsthand understanding of the daily challenges and rewards of caring for others. I am a bit of a geek and love to continuously learn. My biggest hobby is reading, I read a lot in my spare time, and I always have a book with me everywhere I go. I am married and we recently eloped to Australia to get married in the woods. We have three daughters, who I enjoy spending time with, and try to value time with my family. I also enjoy going on walks with our beautiful chocolate labrador, Coco, although she likes to get covered in mud.
