Newton House is a lovely home and the staff are very attentive. They have a mini bus for day trips which is a great thing for residents to feel attached to the outdoors and not feel isolated inside. My mum has made friends and likes the meals and movie nights and singers that are provided.

My wife moved into Newton House in October 2024 from hospital. She was suffering from depleted health both mentally and physically. Now, about 6 months later, she is beginning to flourish again - her family and friends say she is looking well and has regained much of her confidence. It is a joy to visit her.
I put this down to the excellent care she receives. All the carers are willing to assist her - nothing is too much bother. This is partly due to input from the staff trainer and the clinical lead. The nurses take their work seriously but are also happy at their work and very willing to communicate both ways. This atmosphere of joy permeates the whole place.
There are activities every day and outings as well. The activities leader is excellent and prepares a weekly planner which is posted throughout the home and emailed to the next of kin.

The manager deserves credit for her excellent leadership and all her hard work in running this large care home so competently.

I have nothing but praise for everyone at Newton house where nothing is too much trouble no question a silly question and above all else rhe care to mum is superb. The staff have made it their mission to get to know mum well and know she loves her jewellery for example so always have a necklace on with her matching clothes. It definitely gives me peace of mind thank uou

Since my Dad has been in the care of your home, I am happy and relieved, and now not as worried as I was when he was living alone.
I can honestly say all of the staff are amazing and give everything they do for my Dad 110%, no matter what level the help is!
Dad is still in the settling down period, which can be hard for us all, but we know now that Dad is safe and looked after 24 hours a day.
Dad enjoys it when we take him out on the vastly different places he can choose from in the minibus and also likes us to take him out separately, even just for lunch/dinner!
I do believe Dad has so much more social life than he would have at home, and we all enjoy that (not just Dad!).
I am so happy we managed to get Dad a room in your beautiful home, as I don't think we could or would have picked a better Care Home for our much loved 'daddy'.

Again, I can't thank you all enough! The whole team are amazing!

Newton House Care Home is outstanding. Not only basic care but the extra activities offered to residents. As a family, we feel the care and needs of the residents are bespoke to each individual and there is a huge focus on person-centred care. There are several sitting areas and gardens to sit in with other residents and family when visiting. All the staff are professional, friendly and extremely caring. We could not be happier with the care here for my husband.

Cannot fault the staff for the care they give my mum, she has a great relationship with them and they look after her very well. Her reaction when she sees them shows this. The staff member of reception always goes out of her way to make her laugh. Such a credit to Newton House. The trips are also a huge favourite of my mum's and seeing her enjoy the with the driver is lovely.

My husband has been in Newton House Care Home for just a few weeks now. In that time, I have found myself relaxing, secure in the knowledge that the care he is being given is of the highest standard. He is safe and being well looked after. I am extremely satisfied with the level of care provided at Newton House with a few small areas of feedback. Stimulation of residents could be more proactive. All staff should display name badges at all times. The visibility of staff at weekends requires review. Activity programme to be better communicated in advance. Involvement of family in activities should be considered in a more planned way.

Visited a few times. Staff were warm and inviting. Residents were always smiling and chatty and looked very much at home. The manager was approachable and chatty. Very homely feeling. The home is bright and airy and has plenty of cosy and private area. The rooms are large and spacious. Lovely home.

My husband has been in this care home for almost three years, though it has had challenges the staff have worked very hard to ensure that residents have had the best care they could give. My husband is very settled there and both of us are treated with respect and dignity by all staff. They are very aware of his needs and cope with his dementia very well.

Our elderly aunt has resided at Newton House for over two years. We have found this care home to be a fantastic place for her. The staff are very friendly and caring. There are lots of things organised for the residents too, both within the home and outings in the mini bus. Staff are all very approachable re any minor issues that may arise. The building itself is modern with great facilities including a cinema, café, hairdressing room and gardens.

I am married and we recently eloped to Australia to get married in the woods. We have three daughters, who I enjoy spending time with, and try to value time with my family. I also enjoy going on walks with our beautiful chocolate labrador, Coco, although she likes to get covered in mud.
