Mum was at Elmstead since October 2024, I genuinely could not have asked for a better place for her. All of the staff, no matter their role, have been kind, supportive and respectful of mum all whilst allowing her to be herself and flourish (which is hard with progressing dementia). Without exception, everyone treated my mum as if she were their family member. I just wished she'd had longer there. I was very wary of mum joining a home permanently, but I really needn't have worried. The home manager and the team are truly amazing.

This is an excellent care home. The staff really get to know the personalities of all the residents, which enables a good rapport. They also get to know the relatives and always provide a warm welcome. This makes for a very friendly atmosphere and it's always a pleasure to visit. The care provided is second to none and regular updates are always provided. It was a very sad/emotional day when the time came for a move to a nursing home - not only for me but the staff as well! To all the staff - thank you for everything that you have done over the last 7 years or so.

The staff and management at Elmstead are to be commended on providing excellent care for the residents. Since my mother has been at the home, I have always found the staff friendly and engaging. They always take time to talk to residents and visitors and the fact that they are a stable team with many long-serving members means that there is a consistent level of care which is beneficial to the residents. I would have no hesitation in recommending the home to others based on the care shown to the residents.

Excellent. Mum is comfortable, happy and well looked after. The staff are aware of her needs and kind and considerate to her condition. To the family, they are well-informed, open and friendly. We could not ask for a better place, or carers, with which to give responsibility to Mum's wellbeing and care with her condition of dementia.

I visited a relative for the first time last week and was very pleased to see how lovely the decor and surroundings are. The care home smelled fresh and clean and everything looked spotless. I can see there are lots of activities and a nice garden - just wish my relative would take advantage of these but I know the staff and the family are all trying to encourage her.

There is no better place than one's own home but having to stay at Elmstead has been made a whole lot easier because of the staff. The carers here are top-class (excellent).

My father-in-law moved into Elstead Care Home from the hospital. The staff are all very helpful and caring. Nothing is too much trouble for us as a family. It now gives us our time as we know dad is being well cared for and is safe.

Really lovely care home. Mum stayed while I went on holiday, she was recovering from hip surgery and I wheeled her in, when I returned to collect her she was walking with a stick. I was amazed. Wonderful place with wonderful staff.

I am very impressed with Elmstead Care Home. My brother is always very happy when I visit him. It is always lovely and clean too. There are plenty of activities and the occasional entertainment for the residents to enjoy. I cannot fault the staff, they are all very caring as well as management. Overall, a great home.

Elmstead Care Home is an outstanding home with wonderfully, caring staff. The home itself is really cosy and welcoming, and always spotlessly clean; I always loved visiting. The carers are fantastic, and always treated my mum with kindness and dignity. They go out of their way to get to know the residents and their families really well; they become like extended family. There is a really good range of activities, as well as different rooms for the residents to enjoy, such as the lounges, cafe, activity room, hairdressing salon, two gardens and a beautiful summer house. The food is a very high standard. My mum was incredibly happy here, and I am forever grateful to all the staff who took such wonderful care of her.

It always seems to be efficient and calm. Good relationships with residents and the staff, good housekeeping, always looks clean and well-kept. The food always looks appetising.

My mother was admitted into the home during the Summer of 2023. Every member of staff made the experience of her going in a very easy transition. Since then, again all staff have taken care of her every need with care and love. The food and activities are of a very high quality. We would always recommend this home to friends and family who may need this facility for their elderly relatives.

Very friendly staff, makes you feel very welcome. Nothing is too much trouble. Residents are treated very well. Quick to sort out illnesses ie doctors called and support given.

It's very worrying when a vulnerable loved one needs specialist residential care. I did a lot of research before choosing this home for my mum. She's been a resident since 2017 and has been very happy here since day one. The carers are genuinely caring and that's what makes the home so special. Emphasis is placed on making the residents feel like they're in their own home. My mum's room is full of stuff that makes her happy. There are lots of activities and good company to be found for every resident. Elmstead Care Home provides the kind of care you just cannot provide in a private home; specialist equipment with safety in mind and skilled carers who know what they're doing. I couldn't care for my mum as well as Elmstead do, which is why it's been the best choice for her.

My aunt has settled into Elmstead Care Home very well and finds the staff there helpful and friendly. She is always well-presented and enjoys the services of the hair and chiropodist people. Overall I feel she is much happier in herself than she was when at home

Since being accepted into Elmstead Care Home my relative has become much more settled. Previously when they were living at home they were forgetting meals and becoming increasingly isolated. Whereas no one wishes to put a relative into care, there is an improvement that would not otherwise have been possible.

Very pleased with Elmstead Care Home. Our uncle was made very welcome and soon settled as a permanent resident after a respite stay. We feel we have found the ideal location for a single gentleman who was becoming lonely.

Good communication with staff updating us with any medication changes etc. Safe and secure home. Excellent food. Caring staff, many who have been with Elmstead for many years.

I am very impressed with Elmstead Care Home. My brother is always very happy when I visit him. It is always lovely and clean too.
