View Full Details of Hatfield HavenWe've been consistently impressed by the level of care and compassion shown at Hatfield Haven. The team doesn't just provide support - they treat residents like family, with kindness, dignity and an attention to detail that makes all the difference. My mother-in-law has complex dementia needs, and we've watched her flourish in this nurturing environment.
The care provided for my mum is very good. Communication between myself and staff - carers and management is excellent especially when it comes to medication changes, health & wellbeing, which is reassuring. The carers looking after Mum are absolutely lovely, caring & professional. I would recommend as a safe, caring home for your loved one.
My dad has resided at Hatfield Haven since the summer of 2020. He has had plenty of ups and downs, mostly downs, but has always been treated with as much dignity as can be, considering the awful symptoms of dementia. He is now cared for in his bed, all his needs are met to a high standard by the wonderful staff and management there. 10/10.
Since my father has been in this care home, we as a family have been very pleased with the care and attention he has received. The staff are all caring, patient and get to know the residents as individuals. Any issues we have had have been dealt with quickly and professionally. I would recommend this care home; my father is very happy there.
A relatively small care home, this really suits my mum. The staff are friendly, caring and go out of their way to help in any way possible. The management team totally supported mums intergration from home life to living at Hatfield Haven. I have also benefited from their care and attention. Thank you.
As my wife has only been a resident at Hatfield Haven since the 11th June 2025, this has to be a limited report so far. She needs more time to give a honest opinion so far, but she is coming to terms with her care, but we both agree this so far so good. I personally am very pleased with the home and its excellent life and care they give to all their residents.
I am very pleased with the home. The carers are very helpful and very kind. His room is very nice and comfortable. The meals are very good, and he enjoys them. It is a very nice home to visit, and you are made very welcome. He is very happy there.
The staff provide excellent care to the residents and seem to have a genuine connection with them. The atmosphere is positive and residents are encouraged to engage in activities. As a visitor I'm always made to feel welcome. I think the food could be improved as it is often bland and portions overwhelming. The management company don't engage with residents/families and treat it very much as a business. I hope they appreciate their staff, but I'm not sure they do.
My wife is bedbound and cannot stand or sit up. Her diet is just good supplements - does not eat proper food. Therefore, our experience of the Haven is limited, but the staff are kind and helpful.
The management and staff at Hatfield Haven are kind, caring and respectful towards all of the residents and each other. The atmosphere is warm and friendly and the staff are all very attentive towards each resident's individual needs, whether that be physical or emotional. I have no concerns now about my aunt's health, welfare or safety. This home is a 'gem' and shows how to run a gold standard care home.
I visit regularly 4-5 days during the week. My wife and I were together for 43 years including 5 years prior to her residency. The home is a caring environment which establishes much more of a 'homely' feeling. Staff were very approachable and always helpful, courteous and attentive.
It's a difficult decision to place your loved one into care due to dementia. I am very happy with his care, the staff are good, well trained and make sure my needs are met also, nothing is too much trouble. The staff are the same all the time so I've got used to them. It's early days, but I hope my husband settled in the future as he has so far.
Truly outstanding, my mum was moved here from another care home that was nowhere near as good. The staff are all so caring and passionate about what they do. Residents are treated to so many engaging activities. There was a belly dancing raffle pancake day. And a Pantomime every year. Trips to the seaside. Visits to the airport to see planes taking off, plus tea and cake. There are animal experiences; snakes, dogs, meerkats, bats, spiders, owls. It is so heartwarming to see my mum put on weight and enjoying herself. I feel I have got my mum back from her dementia. It is like having a second family. Every visit is so enjoyable.
This care home is outstanding. The care and compassion given to my mother are excellent; she is very happy here, which makes me very happy too. I would recommend Hatfield Haven every time.
I am always given a welcome cup of tea (and an offer of food) as I usually come by bus. They new furniture has made all the spaces more accessible. New residents are more welcome even if the don't appreciate it.
Hatfield Haven is providing excellent care for our mum. The staff are compassionate and have treated Mum with so much love, kindness, dignity and respect. I can only praise all the staff for everything they do, both staff and management are always welcoming to the family. I would certainly recommend the home to anyone. There are always a lot of amazing activities going on with a first-class organiser and lots of fun. We couldn't be happier!
My Mum has been a resident now for 7 months. She is very settled and well looked after. She feels safe and secure. The food is good and plentiful. I particularly like the amount of activities organized to keep residents busy and engaged. The staff always seem to be very caring and fond of residents.
Since moving into Hatfield Havenmy fathers condition has dramatically improved, it is lovely to see him regaining interest and enjoyment of his life. His physical needs have been well looked after and he has the right amount of stimulation to help him close with his dementia. The staff have been so careful with the residents during the pandemic while giving us as much freedom as possible to visit too.
I have always been impressed with every aspect of my mother's care at Hatfield Haven, but I write as we are in the mid-Covid-19 situation. I have been so impressed with the way the whole team, from the management to the carers, have handled a very dangerous situation. It has been so very hard not being able to visit, but the staff have done their very best to maintain contact between our family and our mother ie, phone calls and facetime. It has helped us cope with the current situation, just knowing that Mum is in a loving, caring environment. I will never be able to thank them all enough.
My mother has been a resident for over 3 1/2 years and has had nothing but the best standard of care the staff can provide. She is extremely content and I am very comforted by that. My only complaint would be that her fees have increased by 25% which I find unacceptable as her pension and other benefits have not!
