View Full Details of Oaklands Care HomeWe brought my Dad into Oakland's for respite care while he recovered from illness and we arranged home care. The Care he received in the short time he stayed was exemplary, he really was reluctant to go and was looking forward to getting home but he constantly told me how well he was being looked after. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Oakland's to anybody in a similar situation.
Very good experience thank you.
I find all the staff very friendly, very approachable, supportive, and caring there is always some activities going on for the residents, a very friendly atmosphere.
This is my second visit here. This place is just a little corner of humanity inhabited by big hearts. Benevolence and professionalism coexist in the home. I feel the residents are loved, settled and safe. Old age seems so much sweeter. Thank you for being here.
I found this care home and all staff to be excellent. The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. The meals were on the whole very good and if you required you were able to have extra portions. I have tried several care homes for respite and this was the best home and care staff that we have had. Special thanks to all the staff for their care they provided.
I asked if my mum could be accommodated at Oaklands when she became very frail. My uncle, Mum's younger brother, had been placed in Oaklands a couple of months before and I was impressed. The siblings are very close and have seen each other every week throughout my mum's journey with Alzheimer's. I was delighted it was possible and the pair are now enjoying lovely meals, first-rate activities and entertainment and very professional and loving care in a comfortable, well maintained home.
Mum is 90 in October and didn't want to go into a care home but needs must. She has been a resident for 1 month and my husband and I are very with Oaklands. The food is very good, far better than other respite visits in other homes. The staff, carers and management will go the extra mile for you. My first residents and family meeting was very good for new ideas to update on new residents, activities, outings and everyone could comment. Presently very happy with Oaklands.
The staff and all the establishment are so professional and polite. It is a god send that we have found this community for my mum.
My wife and I visit our friend regularly and are happy that she is content with the way she is being looked after.
Mum's transfer from home to Oaklands was very rapid, however she was made to feel comfortable and 'at home' from the moment of arrival. The assessment by the manager in February 2024 was thorough and sensitive and her care has been of a high standard. Staff took extra care when Mum's health and mood deteriorated, and have worked hard to get her better. The staff are caring and hard-working.
At times seems understaffed.
My mum went into Oaklands Care Home Doncaster in September 2022 as a person with very limited sight and Alzheimer's. She has not always been this way but the staff included her in all sorts of activities. The staff and management were all very caring. Nothing was too much trouble. All in all I think she became very settled there. in February 2024 my mum became very ill and then we lost her. The staff were all extremely warm and welcoming during this time. If anyone is thinking of putting a relative into care. I would not hesitate to place them here.
I would like to thank Oaklands Care Home for the wonderful treatment my sister required and received. Over two years of visiting my sister, I have been made welcome and feel part of the furniture, which has been so comfortable and relaxed, in fact, it has been a pleasure. My sister left us in comfort and in utmost dignity. A special thank you to the managers and all staff. Thank you.
It was a relief to eventually find such a well-run and caring care home as Oaklands. We have found the management team to be professional, positive, happy and helpful. The team have helped my mother-in-law settle into her new surroundings and helped her to adjust to this huge change in her life. When we visit it is clearly evident how settled and happy she is and you can also see that a bond and trust has developed between her and the team, which we didn't expect at the outset. My husband and I cannot thank the team enough for everything that they do and would definitely recommend Oaklands as a genuine and lovely place for your loved ones to stay.
Mum has been at Oaklands for 7 months. We are very pleased with the professional loving care that she receives. She's in her own little world most of the time but included in activities and treated with respect. The family are welcomed in whenever they wish to visit (avoiding meal times). We are so grateful that she is receiving the care she needs 24/7 as it became obvious that we couldn't keep her safe.
I would just like to say the care my brother received at Oaklands Care Home was excellent, and anything we asked the staff to do was always done. They did not give just care they also gave love to him from the cleaners and kitchen staff, and everyone was helpful. When he became ill they were there for him 24/7 with love and care. I can not thank them enough, from top management all the way down. Thanks so much.
My mum is treated with dignity and respect in every part of her care and she loves being here.
Mum was only with Oaklands for a short period of time before she passed away recently, but throughout her stay, the staff were amazing. Their care and attention to detail for Mum were excellent, and my wife and I were so grateful for everything they did both for Mum and ourselves - especially in making her final days so peaceful.
I've always found staff very friendly and helpful. They work very hard to make the residents feel valued and the care they give is very appreciated.
All good. Everyone has been wonderful. Can't thank you all enough. Well run. Well organised, Very happy to have Dad here.
