View Full Details of Magnolia HouseMy wife is a resident at Magnolia House and has been there since January 2024. I am extremely pleased with the standard of care my wife receives. I am very satisfied that she is well looked after and that all her needs are met with care, respect and compassion. The staff are exceptional, always going out of their way to assist my wife and ensure she is happy, comfortable and content as she continues her battle with dementia. Their kindness shines through in the small acts and gestures they do. The reception team are always very approachable and accommodating. It gives me great peace of mind to know my wife is in such capable hands. I would recommend this home.
Overall my parent is happy. There were a few teething problems at the beginning, but now they seem to be enjoying being part of the Magnolia Family. There is lots to do during the week and my parent has made some friends.
My mother is well cared for and tells us she is very happy being looked after in Magnolia House. The atmosphere for visitors on entering is welcoming and management is approachable and available for relatives. The Care Staff are very patient and ensure my mother is content, comfortable and her physical needs catered for, which is the main priority. The food is excellent and the little touches like birthday tea parties and social activities make it, overall, a very pleasant environment to live in.
Food and care is excellent but activities are not brilliant. Would be nice if there was more outside spaces for residents to enjoy, gardening opportunities or hen's or rabbits to allow the residents to interact more. I would and like to see bowls of fresh fruit and snacks throughout the home. For residents to help themselves too.
My grandad stayed for 1 weeks respite it's the second time he has stayed staff very friendly.
The carers are gentle, sympathetic and understanding. The care at Magnolia House came just at the right time when we both needed it. The meals are good above average. Help is always available. The front desk is always helpful at solving problems, and always cheerful. The care is the most important thing and that is very good.
A friendly welcome, staff unfailingly helpful and courteous
I would fully recommend. The staff are all friendly. If I needed full-time care, it would be a perfect option.
My friend is staying with you. I am so happy with the way the staff look after her. It is a nice place to stay. I would recommend it to family and friends. The staff are very nice and there and helpful, would tell anyone about it as my friend is so happy there.
It is a lovely place to stay, would tell everyone how nice it is and clean and staff are very nice there too. I am only in on respite care, but would stay there any time as lovely place and staff. Highly recommend it.
When I was unwell recently I had excellent care and always feel the staff are caring and helpful.
I really don't know how they do it but the team at Magnolia House provide a standard of care and kindness that is outstanding. I am so grateful to them for the work they do and their kindness.
Nothing is ever too much trouble for the team at Magnolia House. It is so reassuring to know my father is being looked after when we cannot visit. I'm so grateful for the care and attention everyone gives.
My mother has seemed quite happy at Magnolia House in the last two years that she has lived there being very hard of hearing she does not join in the social side of the home so I cannot comment.
My mother has settled very well and praises the caring staff. She has been made to feel very welcome, and nothing is too much trouble. I am confident that my mother receives the very best care, which stops me from worrying about her. I love the way the carers take time to brush and style her hair.
My mum has been at Magnolia House for a few months now, and I can honestly say we have nothing but praise for how she is cared for and made to feel as though nothing is too much trouble by all members of staff.
My mum has been in care at Magnolia House for eight months, and she has settled in very well. She thinks it's her house and refers to the lounge as her lounge, which is lovely. The staff are all very friendly and caring. My mum had a fall at night a few weeks ago, and they informed me straight away and made sure she was all okay before settling her back into her bed.
My husband has been at Magnolia House for 16 months and it is obvious the staff like him. The two ladies on reception are very good, nothing is too much trouble. The staff are very friendly and helpful, despite the difficulties with staff shortages. The home arranges lots of entertainment and activities but unfortunately, my husband prefers to stay in his room. I highly recommend Magnolia House.
Carers and staff are excellent, although sometimes feel they are short-staffed. There can be very quiet weeks with not much going on for residents. Overall I am happy with the care and attention given.
We would like to say just how pleasing it is to be greeted by happy and helpful reception staff, always willing to help and understand us, as at times can be very emotional visits. We do understand staff shortages but at times this is noticeable and records are not marked as should be. The nursing and caring staff do a job that is hard, emotional and at times difficult and they have our praise and understanding and we thank them.
