Nursing is excellent

We " toured" several care homes in the area before we settled on Magnolia House, Tewkesbury. This is a friendly, warm place with very caring and attentive staff. It is an old building of warmth and character just like the staff there. My wife of 55 years was dreading the move, but now, two months on, is completely settled. Thank you.

I was satisfied with the attitude of the care home workers.

The care given by Magnolia House is second to none, the staff are friendly, courteous and dedicated. More could be done to keep the men occupied. More tables for meals for men. Gardening group?. Laundry clothes to be washed with the floor and room number.

Following hospitalisation after a fall, mother was welcomed home. Stage 3 bed sore was discovered on arrival, which concerned staff, but she refused to return to hospital. One month following intensive care and treatment from nursing staff mothers wound is stable. She is happy in the home. All visitors' environment is inviting and friendly. I would recommend this home to anyone over and above other similar establishments that I have experienced previously.

Here the carers really do care! Despite mum being bedridden, on days when she was able she had a change of scenery and went for lunch in the restaurant,this she enjoyed as felt like a real outing for her. Towards her final days she required extra care and it was like being in a cottage hospital-medication wasn't just given because it had been prescribed previously the nurses regularly liaised with the GP to ensure medication was regularly re assessed. I would highly recommend Magnolia House. My mum received excellent care and support

My wife is a resident at Magnolia House and has been there since January 2024. I am extremely pleased with the standard of care my wife receives. I am very satisfied that she is well looked after and that all her needs are met with care, respect and compassion. The staff are exceptional, always going out of their way to assist my wife and ensure she is happy, comfortable and content as she continues her battle with dementia. Their kindness shines through in the small acts and gestures they do. The reception team are always very approachable and accommodating. It gives me great peace of mind to know my wife is in such capable hands. I would recommend this home.

Overall my parent is happy. There were a few teething problems at the beginning, but now they seem to be enjoying being part of the Magnolia Family. There is lots to do during the week and my parent has made some friends.

My mother is well cared for and tells us she is very happy being looked after in Magnolia House. The atmosphere for visitors on entering is welcoming and management is approachable and available for relatives. The Care Staff are very patient and ensure my mother is content, comfortable and her physical needs catered for, which is the main priority.The food is excellent and the little touches like birthday tea parties and social activities make it, overall, a very pleasant environment to live in.

Would be nice if there was more outside spaces for residents to enjoy, gardening opportunities or hen's or rabbits to allow the residents to interact more. I would and like to see bowls of fresh fruit and snacks throughout the home. For residents to help themselves too.

My grandad stayed for 1 weeks respite it's the second time he has stayed staff very friendly.

The care is the most important thing and that is very good.

I would fully recommend. The staff are all friendly. If I needed full-time care, it would be a perfect option.

My friend is staying with you. I am so happy with the way the staff look after her. It is a nice place to stay. I would recommend it to family and friends. The staff are very nice and there and helpful, would tell anyone about it as my friend is so happy there.

It is a lovely place to stay, would tell everyone how nice it is and clean and staff are very nice there too. I am only in on respite care, but would stay there any time as lovely place and staff. Highly recommend it.

When I was unwell recently I had excellent care and always feel the staff are caring and helpful.

I really don't know how they do it but the team at Magnolia House provide a standard of care and kindness that is outstanding. I am so grateful to them for the work they do and their kindness.

Nothing is ever too much trouble for the team at Magnolia House. It is so reassuring to know my father is being looked after when we cannot visit. I'm so grateful for the care and attention everyone gives.

My mother has seemed quite happy at Magnolia House in the last two years that she has lived there being very hard of hearing she does not join in the social side of the home so I cannot comment.
