View Full Details of Paternoster HouseFrom the moment my mother arrived at Paternoster House in January this year through to her sad passing in August, each and every staff member has excelled in their own particular role. Be they front-facing within the reception, daily carers, senior nurses, cleaners, kitchen or maintenance staff, their warmth, genuine kindness, humility and love is apparent throughout the entire house-hold; therein absolute peace of mind that mum was always in the best possible professional and loving care. Outstanding in all respects. Thank you so very very much.
As soon as I entered through the door and was greeted with warmth and smiles, I knew I was in a place that was very special. Music and light were in the lift and I was guided to my friend's room - it was home from home. Immaculate crisp bed linen, pretty top, birdsong flowing through the window and always smiles, warmth and overwhelming care from the wonderful carers. Thank you Paternoster for giving my friend such a truly beautiful and happy place and for us to be able to share this special place - Paternoster Care Home.
My sister has been at Paternoster for around 5 months now and from the office staff to the carers, and everyone in between everyone has been just so polite & helpful, when my sister arrived after being in hospital for 4 months she was quite poorly and although she will never live independently again she has come on in leaps & bounds since being in the home, we couldn't wish for better care!!! Today we celebrated my sisters birthday 5 of us arrived with a picnic, balloon, cake & presents and spent the afternoon in the garden every member of staff were so kind, but most of all the chef had made my sister a Beautiful cake with the writing on the top saying (Happy Birthday your Majesty) so apt because in our eyes my sister deserves the name Your majesty because she is the eldest of a family of 10 children, to sum up we couldn't ask for any where better for our sister to be cared for and thank everyone involved...
All of the staff are patient and caring. They treat the residents with dignity and respect- even when that requires one to one help/reassurance. Potential improvements, many rooms not having ensuite toilets, use commodes. These can get smelly. Opening windows is not always acceptable. It would be helpful to install extractor fans. Other than that, the home is comfortable and well equipped, and is kept clean and safe.
My brother had a very bad 2023 and spent most of it in hospital. When we went to Paternoster House in 2024 I expected him not to last very long. However, thanks to all the team at Paternoster my brother is doing very well. Better than I ever thought. All the staff always speak and say hello whenever we are there. They create the atmosphere of a loving family.
Mum began living in the Paternoster Nursing Care Home in early January. She has dementia which has progressed rapidly and she has lost all mobility. Her needs are intense. The staff at Paternoster have been incredibly friendly and supportive to Mum, and to our family. They've allowed us to decorate Mum's room so it feels very much like home. Every time we visit Mum, we are struck by the friendly, secure, family atmosphere in the home - and that goes for not just the staff but the other residents. It is a happy place. Dogs and other pets are welcome to visit, and there are activities such as music with the amazing charity Mindsong which Mum enjoys. We are very confident in the level of professional care being provided for Mum at Paternoster, and grateful to those providing it.
A massively welcoming Care/Nursing Home which is fulfilling all expectations. Excellent management and nursing staff and very nice carers who always have time for you. Also it is great that animals are very welcome and that visits can take place at any time. Sadly my wife is immobile so she is unable to participate in activities but I understand she will be visited in her room by the Mindsong team.
My wife is in care for over a year and has received care and attention at all times. Excellent team in all areas. Thanking you!
My dad receives excellent care. The staff are lovely and treat him with dignity and patience even at times when things are difficult. They look to ensure that all the residents have the best quality of life possible whilst living with Alzheimer's. It is like a home from home in the Paternoster family and we are always welcome when we visit Dad.
Very welcoming and caring staff. Nothing is too much trouble. My mum is extremely happy in her new home. My family visit every day including the dog. Beautiful gardens tended by volunteers and window boxes full of flowers. A bird feeder was put outside Mum's room window as she loves watching them. Very friendly atmosphere which puts you at ease.
I think the staff do a very good job in sometimes challenging circumstances. A major issue seems to be the lift which is almost out of order for as long as it is useable. Overall my mother seems very happy with the care she receives and says how nice the staff are to her. At the end of the day as long as she is happy so am I.
My experience of the home is very good and helpful and kind people.
When visiting my late mum's childhood friend, I was greeted with smiles and warmth from reception and all the members of staff. It was lovely to see her happy and joining in with activities, which we were encouraged to join in with too. There were ponies visiting which my daughter loved too.
Mum recently moved to Paternoster House from another care home in Cirencester, where in our opinion and safeguarding opinion she had been neglected. She was in bed all day and her weight went down to under 6 stone. Since being at Paternoster for the last three weeks she is a new woman. The care she has received is fantastic. She has already put weight on. She is not so anxious and is encouraged to join in activities. All the staff are very caring.
The care home is excellent.
Always happy to assist and help with any problems. They treat Mum with respect and kindness.
The manager and her team work tirelessly to provide and efficient service to the residents. Lovely atmosphere, all of the staff seem happy and this is reflected in their attitude. Two members of staff, especially, and the volunteers are lovely also.
The manager and all the staff are lovely, they do so much for all the residents.
Attended a garden party for the Jubilee. Event was well organised and attended well by residents, family members and staff. Staff were attentive to residents and visitors, and a very cheerful event - was enjoyed by everyone. The entertainers were fun and the food was great. I have every confidence in the Paternoster team in general, mum is always well looked after.
