View Full Details of Clarence ParkMy friend likes living here and the company of the other residents is nice for him to have. Friendship and company can be difficult in your 80's and the people are so friendly and chatty. Best place for my friend to be at this age.
I visit the home regularly to see my friend, and it is always a pleasure to visit. The manager is always around and there is always a celebration. The home is always clean and presented nicely. I would recommend this home to every friend.
Dad has been here just over a week Early impressions are great. He is settled in well
Fantastic team, great management and an overall wonderful experience. Thank you!!
I think the care and care home is very nice also the staff are very nice and very polite.
All staff are very obliging and courteous.
Friendly and caring towards residents and family.
Mum feels very at home here at Clarence Park. The staff on the whole are very kind and patient with her. Moving her too the room with a view to the park has really helped her cognition and well being. The home itself is quite tired and shabby but the staff have lots of love. Manager and assistant manager very approachable and nursing staff always really to answer questions most helpfully.
My husband was a resident for 2 comfortable years until his death on 28/02/25. Of particular note was marking his birthday with the manager and staff together with cake and candles. Thank you all for taking care of him.
Situations and incidents given by resident 3 weeks waiting for a shower - even when requested. Waited will 6.00pm for lunch - even when requested. Delay with teatime meals. Caught/saw temp carer moving his electric wheelchair - hit door and radiator. Requested sandwich prior to hospital visit - did not receive it. He does say that the nursing and carers are helpful and friendly.
Cannot thank enough the manager and the team for their work they do for residents and their families. The manager cares so much about the place and the residents that she makes sure that she is always available. Her communication skills are amazing, she doesn't make people wait and she goes beyond and above to resolve the issues if there are any. Her team has been supporting my husband with his needs for almost two years and I know he is in good hands and well looked after. Thank you.
My dad was very happy at Clarence Park his keyworker and all staff members looked after him in a very caring and dignified manner. The two years he spent at Clarence Park he enjoyed - particularly the food! Often told me he had 4 meals a day! We knew he was happy, comfortable and well liked by all staff. Couldn't have asked for a better care setting.
Today I witnessed the stressful situation the manager was put in by the NHS Channels that she has to go through to get a resident medical help. My brother has a terminal illness. The doctor was called around 9.30 am .After waiting for the doctor for a few hours we were told that the surgery is at capacity!!! Advised to call 111. Which was done around 2.30 . My brother was moved from his room so that she could keep a watchful eye , in case he went unconscious. At around 5 ish the 111 doctor telephoned, we were asked to be present so we could also talk to the doctor. We took in turns speaking. I explained that my brother's condition, encephalopathy was showing all the signs of him needing urgent care. This doctor appeared not to listen to my concerns let alone that of the very experienced nursing home manager. I've escalated the paramedic request. My brother was admitted to hospital at 9pm. The mananger and staff were amazing. All this and caring for everyone else.
Quite happy with care and support. The majority of staff and management good. Able to speak openly and get a response. Most of the food and drink is good. Sadly staff need to feed me - no problem. My room is well suited for my needs.
Very caring staff and spacious communal areas. Pleased we were able to visit as and when we pleased.
Mum received a good standard of care during her 12-day stay. We would use it again in the future should the need arise.
After two hectic weeks in the hospital with moves to different wards, the warm welcome I received as I entered your home for a period of respite care before returning to my flat, gave me such a reassuring feeling. Everyone made me feel welcome and they were ready to help, and monitor my health and all my needs. Knowing there was 24-hour care and excellent response when using the call bell, was so important and appreciated. Well done to Clarence Park - you are much needed and thank you from a grateful guest.
My husband was treated with excellent care. Great support from all staff. Management is very supportive and kind.
I am happy with the care but would like more staff about as sometimes it seems 'short'.
Very good, lovely staff, good food etc.
