My mother moved to Bramble Down when it was clear that she needed more than the previous residential care home could offer.
The staff at Bramble Down were all brilliant with her, taking the time to get to know her and working positively with her quirks. Their support and their welcome to us, her
visitors, were also always first class.
Through her last few months, a time of troubling deterioration, my mother was always treated with dignity and respect. If she declined basic care, staff would patiently return later - and later again if needed - to ensure that, sooner or later, they were able to provide what she needed.
The nursing team worked closely with Mum and us, her immediate family, to ensure they knew her wishes in terms of preferred levels of intervention and treatment.
Bramble Down made a difficult, one-way journey as comfortable and calm as it could be.

We would like to thank all the management and staff at Bramble Down Nursing Home for looking after our dear father so well during the final months of his life. We were extremely pleased with every aspect of the care and service provided and have no hesitation in recommending the home to others -
indeed, we already have.

I cannot praise the staff at Bramble Down enough. They are such a caring team. They treated my dad with such compassion, dignity and love whilst he was in the home for his last three months of life. They were always warm and welcoming and would do anything for us. Heros in mine and my sister's eyes,
every last one of them! Thank you for making dad's passing painless calm and peaceful.

We've used Bramble Down twice. Initially my father chose it for my mother and then when he was incapacitated by a stroke we chose it for him.
I was much more involved day to day this time for my father's short time there and I was extremely impressed by the level of care. Nothing was too much
trouble and the various people there really made, what has been a traumatic time, as good an experience as it could have been.
There are tiny niggles - it's quite remote to get to and the rooms don't have many power sockets - but the team there can be very proud of the care and expertise that they've built up.

Brambledown nursing home has become my second family and I would be totally lost without them.
After a heart breaking stay in hospital, it was decided my dear Mum needed nursing care and the decision was made to move Mum to Brambledown. After a lot of tears and hugs from the staff, I can honestly
say that it was the best decision I have ever made.
Mum receives the best care from every single staff member. Nothing is too much trouble and I know she is so well looked after. The chiefs are amazing and make meals to her specific needs and always are on hand with a glass of sherry which mum loves!!
The ladies that look after the activities are so amazing and arrange afternoons both in and out of the home which all residents can enjoy.
I would not hesitate to recommend Brambledown to anyone thinking of putting their loved ones into care.
Heartfelt thanks to each and every staff member that looks after my Mumma. I will be forever grateful

I am very satisfied with the excellent support given at Bramble Down to my wife. She has been a resident there since January 2023 & I was reluctant for her to go there initially as I had looked after her at home for 3 years. The staff were welcoming and patient. They have subsequently been so
supportive not only to my wife but to us as a family. They are genuinely fond of her making sure she is dressed as she would like & taking appropriate care with her appearance. They are professional, dedicated, highly skilled & efficient. She is always treated with dignity & respect. The kitchen staff ensure that every day she has blended food that is individually prepared for her. The home is always very clean. Her room is particularly nice, very appropriate to her needs with a door leading to the garden. I never worry about her when I am not there as I know she is safe & secure with qualified nurses available at all times. A range of activities are available & she joins in when appropriate.

I am filled with deep gratitude to all the staff at Brambledown who cared for my dear father for the final ten months of his long-lived life. There is no doubt in my mind that Dad's outlook on the remainder of his time on this earth was dramatically altered as a result of the kindness,
thoughtfulness, humour and engagement of everyone working there.
. Brambledown brought him in to the heart of their community and made him feel valued in his efforts to 'give something back' for all their care of him.
I could not have wished for a brighter, warmer and kinder environment for the space that was 'home' for Dad.
Overall I know that Dad had a sense of Hope at Brambledown..that family and friends were always welcome; special occasions could be creatively accommodated for in the most beautiful way; someone would always be there when needed; laughter was around every corner and especially in the dining room!
Thank you Brambledown from the bottom of my heart.

From first visit I felt relaxed and confident that my husband will be well cared for. I was impressed by the skill levels, caring and hospitality shown to myself and all visitors. Most importantly, I have a much reduced level of anxiety now I know he's being well cared for and already I see a marked
improvement in my husbands confidence.

Wonderful! Staff were amazing - nothing was too much trouble, always had time for me and my sister. Spent time with her and gave her lots of hugs. I felt she was safe and very well cared for. Excellent at keeping me informed. Very genuine in their concern for us both - very friendly and loving.

My mum had the most amazing care whilst at Bramble Down Nursing Home and thoroughly enjoyed all the activities that were held. All staff were wonderful and a big thank you to five members of staff, in particular, thank you for taking good care of my mum.

Brambledown staff looked after our mum with such care and dignity, November she was end of life and we were so pleased she was back at Bramble Down after a long period in the hospital, everyone was brilliant, especially two ladies who went above and beyond to make her final days more cheerful for
all of us. The manager also played a big part as did nurses, everyone was so kind.

A fabulous nursing home who gave my mum excellent care. Mum moved to Bramble Down following an illness in April 2023, we had visited several care homes but felt Bramble Down was the right choice for her, her welcome on the first day and continued care over the following months saw her go from
strength to strength. The excellent food, and care she received gave us the opportunity to share many more special moments with her. The care team provide exceptional care with dignity and respect and whilst Mum did not always join in on many of the activities, still felt included and enjoyed trips out and about including some in Denbury. Our whole family always received a warm welcome.

Exceptional care on every level. Beautiful, quiet location and grounds. Rooms and facilities are comfortable, adjusted for the individual. Residents have access to a range of activities, depending on their interests and abilities. Caring staff are kind, warm, patient and cheery and gentle and
respectful to residents. My mum has lived at Bramble Down Nursing Home since January - and has been cared for so well.
Management of Bramble Down, nursing staff, carers, cooks and cleaners are passionate about keeping this as a wonderful place to live. I feel so welcome as a visitor, supported and part of this 'big family'. If only all of us could find such care late in life. Thank you all.

Whenever I visited my friend, he seemed comfortable and content. The staff were unfailingly courteous, helpful and unhurried in their interactions. The staff went above and beyond in their dedicated care.
I could find no fault in the building, bedroom, surroundings and general atmosphere of Bramble
Down Nursing Home, congratulations on running such an excellent establishment.

My husband has been at Bramble Down Nursing Home for 5 plus years so the whole staff have become his other family. The care and support received have been appropriate and thoughtful and I have been happy that he is well looked after. The whole team from the managers to the cleaners have been

After one week in respite care in a residential home resulting in repeated falls and leading to five weeks in the hospital, we finally managed to get Dad discharged into Bramble Down Nursing Home, but all very late for him to get the care he deserved. But the care he did get while he was there for
his last 4 days was wonderful. He had a warm and comfortable bed and wonderful doctors, nurses, and carers whom I cannot commend highly enough. His last days were peaceful and he died with great care and dignity. If only we could have got him out of hospital and into Bramble Down weeks earlier, it would have been so much easier for him and us. The nurses and carers who cared for Dad also showed the same care and kindness for us, and his family, which was moving and helped us tremendously. We are so appreciative of the staff there and thank them with all our hearts.

My father came into Bramble Down Nursing Home on the 30th October, he had a fabulous warm welcome from all the staff who made sure that he was comfortable and settled in ok.
Dad would spend time in the canteen area having his lunch, having a laugh with other residents and staff. He loved the
food, but mostly the puddings and cake every day and the odd G&T ice supplied by kitchen.
Dad's health sadly deteriorated rapidly and after only 1 month he passed away on the 25th November 2023.
I would like to thank you all so very much for looking after our dad. You gave us peace of mind knowing that he was being looked after and cared for with the utmost respect.
The Bramble Down staff also welcomed us in as if it were our home, offering comfort and reassurance, sandwiches and loads of cups of tea, the cheese toasties were amazing and well needed.
