View Full Details of Springfield Nursing HomeExcellent sevice except they were a little time answering a call otherwise everything was satisfactory and enjoyed my six weeks stay
This relates to one specific experience amongst several. Following hospital appointment for dental extractions, the family received no follow up on how things had progressed. I called in to find out, to be told the carer had accompanied the resident had been told specifically not to contact the family, all of whom have POA.
Lack of staff causing standards to go down and poor management relations with staff and relatives. Dangerous chair provided for resident. This is one incident and happy to discuss further. Advice from the care nurse ignored management. Desk very good at weekends. Helpful and efficient.
Although I was only there for 9 nights, I am very grateful for all the help I was given to help me on my way to getting home today. Many thanks.
An invaluable experience to enable me to become mobile again and back to full independence hopefully.
Overall I am pleased with the care I received. Everybody was very helpful, including tea at 4 in the morning when I couldn't sleep. I understand that caring for so many patients is difficult most of whom somewhat elderly. Possibly a little more fresh fruit for breakfast or an alternative to the heavier puddings. I did find the soup was delicious with the sandwiches for tea. Thank you all for looking after me, and all the physio staff who helped me walk again. All in all a good experience and I wouldn't hesitate recommending you to anyone.
Very satisfied with the level of service and friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. They were all very responsive of my needs and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you all very much.
I have been in hospital a few times but never a nursing home only as a visitor to see my late brother and was not impressed, so when I broke my my hip and wrist and was told I was going to Springfield for rehab I didn't know what to expect! But this is home from home. I could not have been treated better everything is perfect, care, food, treatment, the staff, cleanliness etc. The carers cannot do enough for you and go above and beyond their duties to help. As I said to one the other day if you gave me a sheet of blank paper to list my complaints I would return it back blank because there is nothing to complain about at all, thank you all everybody, keep up the good work. And I hope what I have written is proof of how sincere I am, I cannot thank you enough.
This is a very good and caring establishment. I have been treated with the upmost care and respect from both nursing and support staff. Everyone is friendly and kind. The food has been excellent, especially the soup and desserts. I would highly recommend this place.
My mum has unfortunately passed, but in the short time (12 months) she was in your care she was treated with kindness and dignity. She enjoyed all activities until she became to frail to attend. All staff were fabulous and went over and above catering for her needs and always welcoming and helpful to family and friends visiting.
There cannot be anywhere better to recover from injuries. Great staff and excellent facilities.
Overall a good experience. Very professional. Great help from management. For my mum's dementia probably not the right place at that time. But she enjoyed all the food and friendliness of the staff. She has many demons which were still present at the care home. She also had to move rooms from upstairs to downstairs which didn't help. She has gone home now from respite. Would highly recommend.
I have been looked after extremely well!! I have loved my stay here!! So much so that I didn't want to go! The care staff are excellent! They made me feel most welcome and at home here at Springfields. I will miss everyone here! I wish they could come home with me lol. The foods been very good too - I loved the chicken & leek pie! I loved two staff members in particular they made me feel so important and another particular staff member made me laugh! Thank you for everything. I didn't see much of the management here.
From the moment I was wheeled through the doors of Springfield, I was made to feel instantly at ease. Everybody was more than friednly and welcoming. My room was clean and tidy and well, the equipment provided was of a high standard. Although cubist and floral fabrics don't complement each other... All Springfield people are simply wonderful, helpful, caring and go above and beyond to ensure clients are never without the required medication and comforts that are so essential to their stay and recovery.
Welcoming, staff always polite and helpful.
My husband has been a resident at the nursing home since August 2023. He feels safe and well looked after. The staff understand his needs and they create a caring, friendly relationship with him. We are always welcomed when visiting and feel supported. My husband would very much like to stay as a resident as long as possible.
So far so good. Ticked all the boxes.
I am delighted with the care my Mother is receiving at Springfield. The staff are excellent and the programme of events and activities is comprehensive. The new accommodation is of an excellent standard.
During November I spent just over 2 weeks at Springfield, after breaking my left hip in a fall and spending 10 days in hospital. My room at Springfield was comfortable and practical with good ensuite. The care was always kind, and helpful, and nothing too much trouble. The food was very enjoyable, and very attractively served at a nice dining table. I was benefitting from a rehab scheme bed (NHS) and was constantly aided by the physio team. From being in such pain, discomfort, and immobility on arrival, think I improved a little every day. I will always be most grateful.
My Mum has spent a month at Springfield following a broken hip operation. Mum has received the very best of care and when we leave her to go home at tea time I know that she will be well looked after. Five staff members in particular have shown nothing but care and consideration. Nothing has been any trouble. Mum has had physio with two ladies and I would just like to mention the two activity coordinators. They treat you like family. Although Mum didn't attend I thoroughly enjoyed helping to paint the gingerbread men. Thank you.
