Springfield Nursing Home

My mum was placed here for two weeks emergency respite after a mess up by the council, mum has vascular dementia and upon arrival we were informed the home is not equipped for dementia care however the room was lovely, the staff were helpful and mum seemed to enjoy her stay ,which is a shame as mum has gone to three homes now and this was possibly the one she was most settled at.

Staff very kind and caring, night and day.

Very friendly helpful staff (everyone) I soon fitted in.

Excellent sevice except they were a little time answering a call otherwise everything was satisfactory and enjoyed my six weeks stay

Following hospital appointment for dental extractions, the family received no follow up on how things had progressed. I called in to find out, to be told the carer had accompanied the resident had been told specifically not to contact the family, all of whom have POA.

This is one incident and happy to discuss further.

Advice from the care nurse ignored management. Desk very good at weekends. Helpful and efficient.

Overall I am pleased with the care I received. Everybody was very helpful, including tea at 4 in the morning when I couldn't sleep. I understand that caring for so many patients is difficult most of whom somewhat elderly. Possibly a little more fresh fruit for breakfast or an alternative to the heavier puddings. I did find the soup was delicious with the sandwiches for tea. Thank you all for looking after me, and all the physio staff who helped me walk again. All in all a good experience and I wouldn't hesitate recommending you to anyone.

Very satisfied with the level of service and friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. They were all very responsive of my needs and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you all very much.

I have been in hospital a few times but never a nursing home only as a visitor to see my late brother and was not impressed, so when I broke my my hip and wrist and was told I was going to Springfield for rehab I didn't know what to expect! But this is home from home. I could not have been treated better everything is perfect, care, food, treatment, the staff, cleanliness etc. The carers cannot do enough for you and go above and beyond their duties to help. As I said to one the other day if you gave me a sheet of blank paper to list my complaints I would return it back blank because there is nothing to complain about at all, thank you all everybody, keep up the good work. And I hope what I have written is proof of how sincere I am, I cannot thank you enough.

This is a very good and caring establishment. I have been treated with the upmost care and respect from both nursing and support staff. Everyone is friendly and kind. The food has been excellent, especially the soup and desserts. I would highly recommend this place.

My mum has unfortunately passed, but in the short time (12 months) she was in your care she was treated with kindness and dignity. She enjoyed all activities until she became to frail to attend. All staff were fabulous and went over and above catering for her needs and always welcoming and helpful to family and friends visiting.

There cannot be anywhere better to recover from injuries. Great staff and excellent facilities.

Overall a good experience. Very professional. Great help from management. For my mum's dementia probably not the right place at that time. But she enjoyed all the food and friendliness of the staff. She has many demons which were still present at the care home. She also had to move rooms from upstairs to downstairs which didn't help. She has gone home now from respite. Would highly recommend.

All Springfield people are simply wonderful, helpful, caring and go above and beyond to ensure clients are never without the required medication and comforts that are so essential to their stay and recovery.

Welcoming, staff always polite and helpful.

My husband has been a resident at the nursing home since August 2023. He feels safe and well looked after. The staff understand his needs and they create a caring, friendly relationship with him. We are always welcomed when visiting and feel supported. My husband would very much like to stay as a resident as long as possible.

So far so good. Ticked all the boxes.
