Overall Experience
My mother has recently died but was a resident in Springfield for about four and a half years.
The care she received was exemplary. I found the staff to be caring and compassionate.
My mother was a very complex case and needed a lot of nursing care, nothing was too much trouble and I think they went out of their way to make it home from home for her.
During the years we as a family became friends with the staff and they were always there for us as well.

I couldn't have wished for a better place for my mother and always felt confident that she was safe.

We found Springfield helpful in all aspects of care for our mother, who enjoyed her stay and found the nursing staff excellent.

We would highly recommend them to anyone.

Overall Experience

I praise every single aspect of Springfield right through from the senior staff, healthcare assistants to receptionist, admin assistant to food and record keeping. In my opinion, this Nursing Home is wonderful in every aspect and I thank the staff from the bottom of my heart for the help offered to both my husband and myself.

My brother has and is continuing to receive the best care possible.

He always looks well cared for. Every little detail is considered to make him both comfortable and happy. Very much an open door policy and staff are always available to discuss any concerns he or I may have. Definitely recommend Springfield.

Overall Experience

The standard of care is more than I expected. My mother is always asked if she wants anything and is she OK? She can have a choice of food and her ensuite room is lovely and clean with patio doors leading to the garden so she can watch the birds. The staff are always friendly and cannot do enough for the residents.

Natalie FieldingJob Title:Home ManagersJoined: 2026

Joining Springfield Nursing home in January 2026 was a fantastic start to the New Year. The home has a lovely, calm and welcoming feel, and this is matched by the committed and hard-working staff team.

The best part about being the manager here is that I have the privilege of leading a home that already enjoys a long-established reputation for delivering high-quality, person-centred care. It really is just a case of ensuring we are continually striving for excellence, whilst never losing sight of why we are here, doing what we do.

The people who call Springfield their home will always be at the heart of everything we do, and that will never change. If you come in, please find me to say hello. We can have a cake and a chat! Two of my favourite things.

Tom Langley
Tom LangleyJob Title:Deputy ManagerJoined: 2024

I'm Tom, and I am the deputy manager at Springfield Nursing Home where I have recently joined at the end of 2024.

My healthcare career began when I was 18 as a care assistant in a nursing home and a specialist dementia home, and I progressed to a nurse some years later. My experience in emergency nursing and community nursing has been invaluable to my role in management, and I continuously strive to develop my own skills further.

I am proud to be part of such an exceptional team that always has the resident's interests at heart. The values set out by Hartford Care are reflected wonderfully in the day-to-day lives of the residents here at Springfield and I feel privileged to play a role in that journey every day.
