My husband is well cared for and all his needs are met, staff are very approachable and kind.

We are very happy with everything to do with the home.
The staff are helpful and always happy to put our minds at rest.
And the big thing for us is the trust that we got for the trust, and we are grateful.

My mother has lived at Green Gables for over a year, after moving from a nursing home where she was very unhappy. It has been such a relief to me to find a home where she is now happy and settled. Because she is in the advanced stage of dementia, she is very vulnerable and cannot express her needs,
but the staff are always kind, caring and thoughtful about recognising her preferences and what makes her happy. The manager takes a great deal of interest in each individual resident and always makes herself accessible to talk to relatives. I am impressed with the openness of all staff and their readiness to discuss aspects of my mother's care. They work well together as a team and take a genuine interest in ensuring that my mother is content. Green Gables is not the most outwardly 'luxurious' or spacious home that I have encountered, but this is more than made up for by the ethos and attitude of the staff. My mother is also very happy with the food (which was an issue in her previous home).

I am fairly happy with the nursing home. One criticism I would make, there is not enough feedback to the family i.e. changing medication, health deterioration etc.

When looking for a care home for my father, we looked at a fair few - a number had very extensive facilities but that was not important to me. It was the care of the residents and the attitude of the staff to the residents, and since my father has been at Green Gables I have been so impressed by the
care given. There is a very low turnover in the staff which maintains consistency for my father - a very important factor with dementia!

My mother seems happy and settled and has recently stated she quite likes it here, which is good coming from Mum. The staff are kind and caring and the home itself is very secure indeed, particularly during these past 18 months and are very proud that they have had no Covid cases during the
pandemic.

I have been very happy with the care and support are given to my husband over the past two years. The staff are always pleasant, kind and caring. I feel he is in a very safe environment. Management and administration are excellent and will always respond promptly to any queries, both general and
specific, concerning my husband's health medication and follow up with outside agencies on my behalf. It has been such a difficult year and they have coped admirably.

Green Gables is an excellent care home with caring, kind and thoughtful staff who put the residents at the heart of everything they do. The matron ensures the staff give the residents the care and respect they deserve.

Green Gables Nursing Home is an exceptional nursing home. It is extremely well run and organised, and high standards of cleanliness and nursing care are continually maintained. The staff are friendly, compassionate and very caring, and treat all the residents with the utmost dignity.
