View Full Details of The Elms Care HomeVery friendly and welcoming - nothing too much trouble. Always helpful. Staff are excellent. My mother is very happy there feels safe.
From the very first day to the last my wife was looked after in the best possible way. All staff acted in the best possible way. Her changing moods and needs were carefully explained to me and then acted on. Her medical needs were carefully dealt with as they changed. I was kept up with her progress at all stages and could talk with all the staff to find out how she was. When the end came all staff rallied round and all my wishes were carried out with dignity. My thank go out to all of them.
My mother has been a resident at The Elms Care Home in Louth for some 4-and-a-half years now, and what a handful I know she can be. My mother suffers from vascular dementia, in which I can honestly say is heart renching to see over time. All the staff have shown nothing but empathy, care, and even the show of love towards her. All staff have made my visits extremely comforting and allowed myself to get closer and closer in her time there. Big love to all staff. Thank you xxx
Both my parents came into The Elms in September 2024. We all as a family have been welcomed by all members of staff. My parents are for with love, gentleness, caring for all needs and with dignity and respect. As a daughter I am informed of all aspects of my parents.
My mum and dad both came to The Elms September 2024, they both have been made very welcome in every way possible. As a family we couldn't wish for better.
I feel very confident that Dad is receiving the best possible care. I do not worry about his needs being met. The staff are approachable and friendly and available. I feel very comfortable visiting the home and welcomed to be there. I am pleased with the relationships the staff have formed with Dad, it feels like leaving him with family. Any concerns we have about Dad's condition are dealt with immediately. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending The Elms to others.
Our uncle came to The Elms Care Home with a terminal diagnosis. We were stressed and worried as he had been in a nearby residential home, where the care was far from ideal. The Elms was a breath of fresh air. Two staff members in particular were so caring and experienced. They transformed the experience not just our uncle, but of us too. We are so grateful. We know our uncle was comfortable and loved until he died in November.
I cannot be happier with the care and attention my mother is receiving at The Elms. Every single member of staff is just wonderful and can't do enough. She has a beautiful room which is kept exceptionally clean, and the food is excellent - no complaints from her on the food! She hasn't really been able to participate in activities due to mobility issues, but perhaps with a bit of peruasion (she's very set in her ways!). A huge thank you to everyone at The Elms.
Very pleased with the care my dad receives, carers are very respectful, always keep me informed.
My mother moved here recently and I can honestly say that my family and I are very happy she came here. The staff are excellent, her room is kept spotless and the food is very good. Having had experience of other care homes locally, this one is head and shoulders about the rest.
The care my husband receives continues to be excellent. He participates in all the activities/entertainment offered and enjoys a really good rapport with all the staff. Everyone I have contact with at The Elms is friendly, supportive and caring. The staff are genuinely fond of the residents and handle any challenging situations arising due to dementia, efficiently, compassionately, with good humour and seemingly endless patience.
A wonderful team gave my dad the best care we could have wished for in his short stay at The Elms. He was very well cared for by a great team and cannot fault anything with this outstanding setting. He was treated with dignity and respect and he passed away peacefully in a setting which he would have been happy with. Thank you so much to each and every one of you who impacted so much in his final days.
Attentive and caring staff who work over and above to provide exemplary care to residents. They have also been extremely supportive to me, as a family members, when I have struggled with Mum's deterioration and and condition. I would have no hesitation in recommending their care and service to others.
First class all around.
My father came to The Elms on 25th November, and I couldn’t be happier. He has settled in so well and is being beautifully looked after. I can’t rate the staff highly enough, they always have time for you and are so professional and friendly. The management is excellent, and all the staff seem so happy. The food is very good, and the home is spotlessly clean at all times. My dad's mobility has improved so much as he is encouraged to move around, as previously, he spent a lot of time sleeping during the day. Every time I visit, he is well-dressed, clean and shaved. I have no complaints whatsoever, and I am certainly glad I made the move to The Elms.
Dad went into The Elms in February this year following a hospital stay and has received nothing but the best care in there. The staff have been incredible with him, trying to include him in activities and to socialise with other residents. Even more so when his wife passed away soon after, also in The Elms for a short time. As his dementia is gradually worsening, he can be quite stubborn/aggressive but the carers are still patient with him and keep to find his smile!
My mum has recently moved into The Elms and loves the care that the staff give her she had gone downhill in her previous care home and we weren’t happy so decided to move her here and she is now much happier and looking a lot healthier than she has done for a while. The staff are doing an amazing job and we are very grateful to them all, although she likes to walk the corridors the staff always seem to know where she is which is reassuring.
Staff are friendly and kind and try to resolve any problem to the best of their ability within a good timeline. Feel staff should check residents' draws and wardrobes at least once a week to ensure things like "old bread/food" are not put in draws by residents with dementia. This has happened on occasion when we haven't been able to visit and sort out the facilities in the room to keep it tidy and clean.
The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The room was small but clean. My husband was well cared for.
The Elms Care Home is taking care of my brother-in-law. He has numerous health problems and his wife is unable to cope with them, so he is now a resident at this excellent care home. On our first visit, we were impressed that parking was easy. Our reception was friendly and very helpful and we were taken to our relative's room and introduced. The room was pleasant with a window giving a view over the fields behind the property. It was well-equipped and included a television. The resident hairdresser popped in for a brief chat with our brother-in-law and we found she had recently given him a haircut. On a second visit, our view was confirmed that this is a very well-run establishment with a high standard of care and cleanliness. Our relative said the food was good and he enjoyed choosing from the menu. All the staff we met seemed very competent and friendly. My wife and I believe this is a first-class care home and we would recommend it to anyone looking to place a relative in care.
