My friend has had a lovely experience at The Laurels. She is now a lot healthier and if she feels poorly there are nurses/doctors who sort her out. The can she gets is exceptional. - Food and snacks lovely. - Lots of lovely staff who talk to her.

My mum moved in here a year ago. She had been very ill and could no longer live independently. From the very start, the staff of all levels could not do enough for her. She was reluctant to be here in the begining but because of the way she was treated, settled in really well. She has thrived since
being here and is the healthiest she has been for years. She feels safe and I do not have to worry about her getting ill as it is dealt with straight away. She enjoys the food and I am convinced the home cooked meals have played a big part in her recovery.

I have been a resident here for allmost a year, I was very ill when I came but with their kindness and care I have gradually improved. The food is very good and there is plenty of choice. I was made to feel at home immediately and the carers and nurses have been very kind and caring. I feel like one
of the family. If I am ill it is dealt with immediately and I feel safe and secure.

We were all worried when Mum went into respite care when we went on holiday. She had had numerous falls at home and lost her confidence. From the moment we stepped into the Laurels, we were welcomed. The staff are all amazing. Within a few hours, Mum knew she wanted to stay. She has a lot of
friends, has her 'glow' back and is being cared for by the lovely staff. Thank you!

Mum went into a care home for respite, it was like a hotel, but soon found out the care wasn't there. She ended up in the hospital through neglect, and he health and spirits declined. We thought we had lost her a few times, but she was not able to come back to live with me because her needs were too
high. So I had to look for dementia nursing care. I visited lots and every time I ended up crying in the car park because none were suitable, I was becoming very disheartened until I visited The Laurels Nursing Home, I just knew straight away the manager and staff have such care and empathy. Mum moved in a week later, and like a miracle, she improved so much, but I now feel content knowing Mum is well cared for by the amazing staff. I now know I've chosen the best place for Mum, it's taken all the care and worrying from me. Thank you.

The staff look after the residents very well. The food is good and varied. It is always warm and comfortable. The home is well-decorated on the inside but the outside could do with a little attention. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a care home for a family member.

My mother is in very poor health and I was dreading Xmas. Most likely her last Xmas with us and also her first one in a care home. Honestly, the home couldn't have done more to ensure the festivities were filled with love, joy and fun. A member of staff dressed as Santa on the day and me and my
sister cried happy tears when he surprised my mum with a visit on the big day. This epitomised the exceptional care my mum receives at the Laurels. The Manager's door is always open and welcoming should I have worries about my mum. What I thought was going to be a sad place to visit has become my happy place, as I make treasured memories.

My husband and I live in Scotland, and it has been such a blessing that my mother-in-law was placed in The Laurels. I cannot thank everyone enough. All the different teams work so well together. Nothing is too much trouble. The food is amazing, and bespoke to each patient/person. My mother-in-law
has a very rare skin disease, and when she went in needed turning every two hours, it was done with love and care. She is a complex case, with many other problems, but for The Laurels and the team, she is almost ready to go back home. It is because of their diligence and kindness, love and care. We cannot recommend enough.

I am incredibly grateful to have found The Laurels (Derby), where the exceptional care and unwavering dedication provided to Mum one have surpassed all expectations.
From the moment we stepped through the doors, we were greeted with warmth and compassion by the staff, who have truly become an
extended family to us. Their professionalism and genuine concern for the well-being of residents are evident in every interaction.
The facilities provide a safe and comfortable environment that feels like home. The attention to detail in creating a homely atmosphere has not gone unnoticed, and it's clear that every aspect of the care home has been designed with the resident's comfort and happiness in mind.
What truly sets The Laurels apart, however, is the level of individualized care provided to each resident. The staff take the time to get to know each person on a personal level, tailoring their care plans to meet their unique needs and preferences.

I cannot rate the management and all staff at The Laurels highly enough.
My mother is a resident there for end-of-life care, and the care she has received is outstanding. My mother had always said that she would never go to a nursing/care home, but after a few weeks at The Laurels, she said that
she "loves this place and the people and that I wish I had come here years ago". All of the staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and after years of worrying about my mother, I can finally relax because she is safe.

Mum has been at The Laurels for three years. In that time she has been well looked after and cared for. She enjoys her meals, her hair appointments (via in-house) and chatting to the staff and residents.
Time is spent to make sure she is happy and when needed additional aids have been provided. I
have no hesitation in recommending The Laurels.
