View Full Details of Meadowfields Care HomeMy Mom has been a resident for nearly six months and I cannot fault Meadowfields at all. The staff are always welcoming and attentive, and there is always a feeling of warmth and homeliness. Lots of activities for Mom to get involved in and all members of staff know her and her likes and dislikes. Her room feels like home from home and is always immaculately clean. Mom is always happy when I visit and is laughing and joking with staff and residents. Couldn't recommend it enough!
We cannot fault the care that mum has received at Meadowfields. Mum came in for emergency respite care, so the whole situation was new to us and very distressing. From start to finish the staff have been wonderful, mum has settled so well and has made new friends and involved herself fully in all the activities on offer. The home is spotlessly clean and more like a hotel than a care home. Thank you to everyone involved in mums care, for looking after her so well, and for the great kindness you have shown to her.
After four months of being in hospital mum arrived here at Meadowfields. It was a very anxious time, very soon relieved by the managers and wonderful carers. Mum is settled, and we as a family are very relieved to know she is in good hands. Would recommend
The care home always smells nice on arrival, the staff are always very welcoming. The residents are given a monthly planner so they can choose the activities, these can include flower arranging, music and fitness to name a few. My mum enjoys having her hair done there too. It is a lovely care home and it gives me comfort to know my mum is being well catered for.
my father has dementia and has no immediate memory. The support he gets from all the staff is outstanding. The staff are all very approachable and have been there for both my Dad and myself as we have all adapted to Dad being in a care home. my Dad has settled extremely well thanks to the constant emotional support he gets. This is a lovely care home, so clean and modern. lovely food, lovely people and the activities they do are amazing. we always feel at home when we visit. A lovely place
A well run care home, working under difficult services (especially after the effects of Covid). A few more trips out would be appreciated. It seems that fruit is only served downstairs. Would it be possible to serve some upstairs? Activities have improved with the employment of a new member of staff.
My father has been at Meadowfields for just over a month. He is finding it a little difficult to adjust having been independent for so long. All the staff, from management down, are going the extra mile to help him in his readjustment. Everything to do with his overall care/support appears to be going very well, given the early days of his residence.
Bedroom - very good. Bathroom - poor for people like me with mobility and balance problems.
Helpful staff, pleasant meals and surroundings. Very nice.
Service user feels safe and secure. Happy and content with caring staff. Friendly, pleasant and welcoming staff and environment. Nothing is too much trouble and staff are approachable. Service user and family would not hesitate to recommend this care home.
I have found the staff and facilities first class with excellent care and support to patients and their families. Care and attention to detail are at the forefront of the care provided by all staff members from management to carers.
Words cannot express how pleased the family is for the constant care and attention afforded to Mum. The staff are extremely polite and caring. Mum is so well looked after at this difficult times, Mum is aged 1020 years and receiving end-of-life care. We feel she is loved and well cared for.
The carers are pleasant, helpful and even-tempered despite the apparently increased pressures on them due to an increasing number of residents needing more and more detailed and sometimes frequent care. Access, movement and egress from the dining room can be awkward due to too many parked walking frames and wheelchairs. Some residents meander aimlessly around including into other resident's rooms. Less than fully compos mentus residents talking loudly to God during mealtimes.
As a family our experience has been excellent I never thought I'd say that it's the best decision we've made. Mum has Alzheimer's, and staff always address her by name. She is always clean, tidy and happy. Management and office are very helpful and accommodating. Trying their best to do what they can for Mum. Care staff are excellent and keep a close check of her health needs and mental health. We are very happy with the excellent care given. Activities are excellent everyone is happy and fun!
My mother has settled well into Meadowfields Care Home after a lengthy stay in hospital. She is well cared for and generally happy in her new environment. The staff are skilled and very kind and my mother's needs are assessed and met. She enjoys mixing with other residents and joining him with activities.
We are in a phase now where my mum requires a lot more support. I cannot fault the care and attention she receives. The staff are always available and willing to listen to and act on any concerns we have. It is also good to see that the activities for residents are developing and much more involvement for relatives should they wish to participate. Well done to that team of staff. Overall, we are most pleased with all aspects of the home.
Thank you for caring for my mum. The staff are professional and up to date with skills and knowledge. The manager is always first hand available and her kindness is much appreciated. The carers have lovely personalities and are very kind to Mum who has complex needs and a strong personality.
My nan is staying at the home and I live in Sussex. When my husband and I come to visit my nan she looks amazing, and well looked after, the staff are friendly, helpful and always have the time to answer any questions or concerns. When we visit the home it is always clean and tidy. Has a beautiful view around the home. It was lovely seeing my nan in the lounge and seeing the activity staff in there. It makes me feel reassured that when I leave my nan she is happy and looked after.
Very helpful at all times when phoning. Very well cared for and on the ball when residents are poorly. Contact is good at all times regarding family and the home is always clean. Nothing to complain about, I never have to worry and that means a lot. Always keep in touch when necessary.
Clean, caring, happy place. Seems to be properly staffed and well managed.
