View Full Details of Nightingale HallAfter a terrible Crisis admission into a facility in Darlington and a 5 week hospital stay I was very reluctant to place my lovely Dad into a care facility. Nightingale Hall was recommended to me and it's fair to say from my first appointment for placement I felt reassured that this was a well organised fantastic home where you feel a member of the NH family. The manager and staff from the top to the bottom are caring compassionate and very kind. The care my Dad receives is first class and is very dignified even though at times he can be difficult. The accommodation is beautiful well kept and very clean. The dinning room is bright and airy and provides lovely food and another nice touch they have bags of crisps etc in the lounge that the residents can help themselves. I will be forever grateful to the amazing NH staff.
I utilized the amazing services of Nightingale Hall for practically a month to give both my elderly mother and myself some respite. Mum can be very difficult to support with her mental and physical health issues; however, the home was fantastic. My first visit, with a friend, confirmed it was the best choice for respite care in the area. The care mum received throughout her stay was first class, and the reassurance and communication from all staff concerned with myself was exemplary. All aspects of the home were gold standard clean every time we visited. Mum was suffering with eczema and not eating properly when she went in, but the staff ensured that her creams and tablets were given - without fail - at the appropriate time. Her dietary requirements were accommodated - nothing was too much trouble at all. I had hoped mum would want to stay permanently, however, it was not to be currently, but I am hoping that as and when that time comes, Nightingale Hall has a room available. I cannot thank the staff at Nightingale Hall and the Wellburn Care Homes enough.
Nothing is ever too much trouble. Staff are all friendly and caring not only to residents, but also to other family members. Everything is always clean and to a high standard and I would not hesitate to recommend the home to.anyone needing care in Richmond and the lower dales area
All the staff at the care home were very kind and thoughtful regarding anything to do with my dad and his care. They showed respect to him and encouraged him to continue to do what he could for himself. They were extremely helpful when we moved some of his personal possessions up to the care home and they made his time with them as good as it could have been. When my dad passed away, some of the staff attended his funeral which was very much appreciated.
I would certainly recomend Nightingale Hall. The manager has a fab team of caring staff from the top to the bottom. There was always a cup of tea offered while visiting and the food always smelt fresh and appetising. The staff were always proffesional and had a warm, happy approach. They also had an entertainment programe for anyone who wanted to attend. Staff there came across very proffesional.
My father was at Nightingale Hall for a weeks respite. He had a very good time, he enjoyed the various activities and definitely enjoyed the food. His room was clean and well equipped. We will certainly be returning. Many thanks to all the caring staff.
I cannot fault the care and compassion shown to my mother while in Nightingale Hall. All the staff were outstanding in their tasks of keeping mum comfortable and well looked after. A few staff members stand out when dealing with my mother and I will always be grateful to those staff for making mums stay at Nightingale as good as could be wished for. We consider ourselves as a family lucky to have been able to get mum into such a fantastic care home. Having the welfare pony and dogs into the home was a high point for mum. The activity sessions were brilliant in getting people involved. The singers and music always a bonus. This was worth paying the costs each four weeks.
I moved my mother to live at Nightingale Hall in 2024. I was very impressed on my first visit and that didn't change in the time she lived there. The care and communication were first class. She had fun whilst living there and was happy. When it was her time to leave us, the staff were with her round the clock. Very empathetic and always professional. A lovely place to visit and I will be popping in again.
My husband was given great care whilst in NH. He was treated with dignity and respect. The support also shown to me and his family was wonderful.
I cannot praise the staff at Nightingale Hall enough for their care and compassion looking after my Mother (and me) from the very first to the very last day. The management were so understanding of our situation, the care staff treated us with the utmost respect and the cleaning staff went above and beyond to make my Mothers stay as comfortable as possible. There were joyful and hilarious times with all members of staff but respect shown was second to none. Thank you all.
My lovely mum was in Nightingale Hall for the last 8 months of her life. It was wonderful to see her so contented and well looked after- the staff genuinely cared so well. My mum got lots of hugs and smiles and attention; she was well and truly cared for to an exemplary standard. All the staff also looked after me and my daughter and family so well too. Nothing was too much trouble. My mum engaged enthusiastically in lots of activities when she wanted to flower arranging and bingo were here favorites, and she enjoyed an excursion in the mini bus to the local chocolate factory. Sometimes, she'd be tired and just have time in bed if she wanted to. My mum's end-of-life care was amazing. As an NHS worker myself with involvement in palliative care, I found they were faultless and caring and thought of everything for Mum and us. I absolutely recommend this home for your loved ones. While mum was in Nightingale Hall, we could relax and know that she would be contented and well cared for. Thank you.
Staff looked after my dad whilst Mum was in hospital. He was very settled and comfortable, could not fault any aspects of his care. Thank you to all the staff at this difficult time, you were amazing.
My mum arrived in Nightingale Hall in July 2022. She settled well and I was happy with her care. The staff are caring and I did not have any complaints regarding her care. She died on 08/10/2024.
My mother-in-law was admitted as a full-time resident in 2023. Nightingale became her home and she loved all the staff that cared for her. Unfortunately, due to circumstances we had to move her and hope she is as happy at her new home as she was here. We were very sad to have to move her after a year here.
A very good relationship with the residents.
My mother came to Nightingale Hall in June 2024 and within a week we could see a difference in her. With her eating more and the correct foods that she needed. The staff are amazing and so polite. Nothing is too much trouble for them and if I have a query about anything they are so willing to help. This latest month they have managed to get my mum out to the seaside and join in a few activities and playing Bingo which as a family we are over the moon about as we haven't been able to get her out for months.
My wife spent two weeks at Nightingale Hall to give me some respite (she has Alzheimer's). She has become quite introverted over the last two years and so did not get involved with other residents even though the staff did their best to encourage her, so I can't comment on the activities. The whole atmosphere at the home gave me confidence that my wife would be well looked after and cared for. This proved to be the case and I will quite happily leave her there in the future.
Mum was very happy living at Nightingale Hall and loved all the staff who were equally loving and kind towards her. She was treated as an individual, with great care, consideration and respect. I cannot praise the staff highly enough, so obviously always extremely busy but who always made the time to be helpful and friendly. They were skilled and thorough, Mum's room was kept clean, the laundry was well taken care of, the food was good and there was an amazing range of activities. I could praise so many more aspects but hopefully, this short review expresses the extremely high opinion I hold. Thank you so much to everyone at Nightingale Hall.
My mother was admitted to Nightingale Hall following a fall initially as a respite resident. She is now permanent after just four weeks of exceptional care. Nightingale is clean, bright and welcoming with good food and excellent staff. The staff all know where my mother is, what mood she is in and how she has been doing. They are unfailingly jolly and caring. What more could you wish for?
Nightingale Hall staff gave Dad the best care possible and this includes every member of staff. They treated him with respect and dignity, and he spoke very highly of all the staff. They helped him enjoy the last years of his life. He was taken out into the garden if weather permitted and encouraged to join in with activities. We, as a family, cannot thank everyone enough at Nightingale Hall for the care he received.
