View Full Details of Highfield Care HomeThink all the staff members are really nice and good at their jobs, some go the extra mile, and I know my mam is in good hands. Mam really likes her food, and the food is excellent, lots of tea and biscuits throughout the day. The staff are very respectful to mam and treat her very well with warm, friendly hello's and cuddles.
Mum has not been here very long, but from what I have seen, it is excellent.
Both of my parents have been cared for by the team at Highfield House, My mother has been a resident for 7 years and my father was there for a few months before settling into a nursing home. Each person who cares for my mother has a compassion and consideration for her needs that make it easy for us as a family to rest knowing she is in a loving and safe place. The management team are always helpful and have guided us on a number of occasions to insure the best care possible. Would highly recommend Highfield House.
My mother has been made welcome and comfortable since her admission to the care home. The staff are very friendly and approachable, taking very good care of the residents under challenging circumstances. There is a very homely and friendly atmosphere in the home.
Overall, ok, although I can see it is short staffed! And the amount of money charged, I am wondering why? More staff = better care!
The staff at Highfield are always pleasant, and anything you ask them is not a hassle; they go out of their way to help you. The care given to my mother in law they always treat her with respect & dignity. It is always clean & tidy, always leaflets & brochures advertising what is going on in the Highfield & asking you to attend if you want to.
The staff at Highfield are always pleasant, and if there is anything you require, they are always accommodating. The overall care they give to my mum is very good, and they always treat her with respect and dignity. The Highfield is always kept clean and tidy, and it is always a pleasure to visit. I would recommend the Highfield to anyone who is looking for a care home for their loved one.
Great home for my mam. She is being well looked after by very caring staff. Management is doing a good job, and I've noticed some positive changes lately, so very happy.
Since my wife arrived here, she has been well looked after, and the staff have become friends. They are very caring.
I have been very happy with the care my wife has received. She is settled and happy in the care home. The staff have learnt how to handle her moods and treat her with understanding and dignity. The decor of the home has been updated and improved which provides a pleasant living experience for the residents.
Mum is being well looked after. Staff in general are very caring and compassionate. We feel able to raise any concerns with the staff, once raised they have been dealt with promptly.
Mum is always dressed, clean happy and relaxed when I visit her, The staff can always update me what she's been up to and any other observations. She has settled in well and the staff all know her and what she likes and doesn't like. The staff have been proactive in arranging any medical interventions required such as her gout and diabetes. Overall I am very happy with everything so far.
Great visit. Staff helpful and informative. Went to check immediately on a small growth I'd noticed on my mom-in-laws face, she said she'd get it checked by the DR - great! thanks. Bedroom was nice and clean and tidy and cosy! Manager was welcoming and made time for me. Thank you!
I have been visiting this home for 2 1/2 years and I am welcomed by very friendly staff every time I visit.
Christmas day lunch, I was made to feel so welcomed and realised the high quality of care my husband was receiving was great. Also the quality of the food was also amazing. The member of the care team always greets me with a hug and always tells me to look after myself.
All the staff are really helpful. My husband gets lots of help to get washed and dressed and access the things he needs. They always offer him a choice of tea or coffee even though they know he likes tea with one sugar. They always let us have our lunch together and give him time to finish his meals at his own pace.
My friend seems content here. The staff care for her. She can be difficult to help with her personal care but since she came here the staff have won her over. Activities are particularly good for my friend as she is happy to join in and loves the exercise classes.
My Mam, who suffered from vascular dementia, was brought into Highfield for respite care when my Dad went into hospital. It was immediately clear that the staff were both kind and skilled in dealing with dementia and she was immediately happier and calmer at Highfield than she had been at home with us (which she found a confusing and difficult environment). When my Dad was discharged from hospital, the council decided he could not cope at home and at our request placed him at Highfield to be with my Mam. For the five months that my Mam was at Highfield and the eight months that my Dad was a resident, I was constantly in awe of the patience, kindness and skill of the team there. This was true of everyone from the care assistants, and nursing staff right through to the management team. They even helped teach me the best way to interact with my Mam as she deteriorated; I can't thank them enough for their care.
Mother has been a resident for 6 months approx. The staff (majority of) are kind and caring.
Nana recently moved into Highfield (six weeks). The whole process has been excellent, well-organised and very smooth. We were reassured by the caring approach of the staff. Nana has settled quickly and is loving the company. She can't speak more highly of the staff. Thank you.
