View Full Details of Kerria CourtMy Great grandmother has been in this care home for a few months now and she has settled in so so well. This says a lot about the compassion and care she receives from the staff as she struggled to settle in her last care home. Every single member of staff is lovely and I could not praise them more; my nan used to ask when she can come home, now she says she doesn't want to come which is a testament to this home! I genuinely could not ask for a better group of people to care for her and I am so grateful she got put into this place!
Where do I begin, my partner is at Kerria Court, every week I go to Kerria Court, over the last five months, what a place and a pleasure to come to. I would like to thank all the staff, from the cleaners to management, they all give 100%. This has to be the best care home in Birmingham, this has got to be the No. 1 for me. I would recommend it to anyone. Teamwork. Well done all.
I am the sole carer for my husband who has Alzheimer's. I was taken ill and had to go to hospital twice. My daughters had to take over their father's care. They could not get any help from social services. Both live and work away from Birmingham. They contacted Kerria Court in Lee Bank to try to get a place for respite while I was in hospital. The employees at the home were very helpful and got him a room and applied to social services for financial help. His stay there was short because when I was discharged I brought him home as he was unhappy to be away from family.
Staff are very friendly. All have time to talk, let us know anything happening. All areas are clean and tidy.
From the first moment we were looking for a home for mum we knew she would be in safe hands at Kerria court .iIt like a home from home for mum. Working in the care sector I was nervous about putting mum in care but being in the industry I knew it was the best decision to be made for my mums safety. Mum always kept staff on there toes and nothing ever fazed them . When I had concerns about mum two particular members of staff were always available to help and support sorting the issues. Mum deteriorated but they allowed her to stay around people she knew and loved. In those final moments I realised what the staff felt for my mum. I'm so glad she was surrounded by extended family of Kerria court they came to say good bye and they supported the whole family throughout the journey. I can't thank the staff enough for the live they showed to mum and myself and my wife. I will always remember mum laughing and singing at Kerria court she was happy again.
We are delighted with the care provided at Kerria Court. The staff are attentive, kind and respectful towards everyone. The home is clean and well maintained. The open communication from the management team is fantastic. We would highly recommend Kerria Court for providing a safe and supportive environment for family members who require 24-hour care.
Mom has been in Kerria Court since early November 2024. Without exception, the Management and Staff have been excellent - caring, compassionate, and empathetic. Mom loves the food, even though "all they want me to do is eat all day". The home has regular entertainment and activities for residents to enjoy if they want to get involved - and there are areas they can sit for some peace and quiet, too. Mom currently spends quite a lot of time in her room (with a small kitchenette and full en-suite), but we're sure that as her confidence grows, she will venture into the communal lounge more and more. The staff are trying to encourage this too. Each time mom has had a small health issue, the team at Kerria Court ensure she is looked after - helped by a weekly visit from the local GP. It's obviously a worry when her children live 100+ miles away, but we're reassured given the quality of care mom receives.
My mother has been cared for at Kerria Court since January 2019. My family and I are so happy with the wonderful loving care and support she has received since arriving at Kerria Court. We have found the staff to be very attentive to Mum's particular needs. She recently celebrated her 90th birthday, and the home hosted a very special family birthday celebration for her. I can not speak too highly of the management and staff at Kerria Court.
There is no longer lovely music playing. The staff turnover is huge as I did not recognise anyone. My mother was in the lounge, which was very positive. She looked well. The overall standard of cleanliness is good, and the place tidy with no offensive smell. It would be good for those able to, to have a short trip out occasionally. However, I recognise that this would be challenging.
The staff is very helpful and friendly. Lovely atmosphere. Good food, activities and garden. Made welcome.
Kerria Court offers a wonderful, caring space for those who are not able to live independently. Rooms are en-suite with wet rooms, toilet, kitchenette, bed, chair and cupboard space but people are welcome to personalise their room. People are able to make their own choices about how and where they spend their time within the home. A number of activities are available and there are regular visitors and entertainers. Staff are committed to knowing each resident and someone is always available to discuss any worries or concerns. Staff treat each person as an individual and show real concern for them. The home is bright and airy. and the lounge and gardens are very attractive. On each floor there are social areas with activities available. There are nearby shops and a park for those who are still able to go out with a relative. It is very near to bus routes from the city centre. Moving to a care home is challenging but most people will settle well into all that Kerria Court offers.
When looking for a suitable Care home for my mother, I worried that I might never find a home that would do her justice! However, I need not have worried, as Kerria Court has been the perfect place to meet my mother's needs as well as, make her feel she is a part of an extended family. As soon as I arrived to have a look around with my husband we both had a great feeling about it. Over the initial period of Mom moving in I found staff were very warm and welcoming to both Mom and her visitors. This helped her to settle in very quickly. They make it very clear that I can come to them with any concerns or requests should the need arise! Five weeks on, nothing has changed other than I too now feel part of this family. I am most grateful to the staff for making this transition for both Mom and my family a painlessly happy experience.
Great service from start to finish. Visiting my nan she looked to be comfortable and was brought to see me promptly. I was given plenty of information in regard to what she was doing and what food she is having throughout the day.
When my mother was admitted to Kerria Court Care Home, she was wary and anxious which was quite understandable after living on her own for the last twenty years but as time has gone by, she seems to be accepting where she is which is a good start. This is because she is getting 24-hour care. We, as a family, feel this is the right place for her and hopefully, she stays like this thanks to the care she is receiving from the care home staff.
My aunt has been a resident for over a year now and is very happy. The staff are always very friendly and very helpful and professional, there is a real familial feel to the home. I live in Ireland and being so far away is always a concern as I don't get to pop in all that often but the staff are great at keeping me informed, my aunt and I have regular phone calls and communications have never been an issue.
Very good place and happy with lots of things.
My father has been a resident here for almost fifteen years and the quality of his care has always been first-class. Every member of staff are and have been a credit to the Anchor organisation. Everyone goes above and beyond and I couldn't be more grateful.
I am very happy with all the staff at Kerria Court and the care for my brother. Thank you all.
I live in the USA and have been unable to visit my mom for 2 years. When I visited ber in October, on entering Kerria Court, I was very pleasantly greeted by the ambience - decor brightness and the warmth of, not just the home, but every staff I interacted with. When she 1st moved into Kerria Court, Mom asked why she couldn't live with one of her children, now she says she wishes one of us could move in with her. That's a testament to the love, care and support of the Kerria Court team.
All my dealings with staff, from the manager to cleaning operatives, have always been positive. All staff are friendly and supportive. Communication is excellent: I feel I am well informed regarding my mother's care, health and well-being. All my queries have been acted upon in a timely manner. I believe my mother is receiving the best care in the care home.
