View Full Details of Clumber House Care HomeStaff and management are very kind and helpful. Rooms are good, clean and have plenty of space. Not seen food so can't say the quality.
Staff friendly, met any needs & concerns I've had. Addressed most issues & requests.
Overall with a new manager in place the home is better my friend is happy there and receives good care from All the staff I visit my friend with her other friends we read stories and in the past player games unfortunately with no activity person my friend is less interactive now it would be nice weather permitting if my friend could have some fresh air in the smalll garden patio area with other residents
My husband has been a resident of Clumber House, since August 2024, he suffered a stroke initially, and was then admitted to Clumber House. Staff have been welcoming, warm and attentive, and have looked after my husband to the best of their ability. He has been cared for well, and I am kept up to date regarding any problems.
Happy with the care my brother is getting, always clean and tidy, and all of the staff are good, his room is always tidy, clothes in wardrobe, , I get regular phone calls about flu covid injections
My dad is a very awkward person (due of course to his alzheimers/dementia) but the staff are unfailingly kind and patient. I ring every week and staff often try to get my dad to speak with me, the success/failure of this all depends on whether he is willing to speak. Obviously he has some days & some hours better than others.
We found clumber house a friendly place and the are willing to answer any questions or queries we had, they bring dogs with their owners and it brightens residents days, they enjoy and celebrate every occasion and its not aplace where people dont care! its a clean bright happy place.
Not outwardly posh in appearance but clean, tidy and functional rooms and common areas. Staff are fully competent, very helpful and cheerful about their jobs. As a regular visitor I like to know the names of staff. Often they seem to forget to wear their name badges! I have been asking for a gallery on view with names against photos.
No bad experience regarding mum. When coming to take mum out for the night or evening I always ring first to say when and what day so its easier for staff to get her ready and her tablets ready and sometimes they are not ready and we can be there for an hour to relieve them.
Mum was admitted to Clumber House a few weeks ago and was welcomed from the start. Alongside mum, I feel I have been welcomed by all staff and made to feel included. It is nice to hear feedback from staff about mum. Staff have taken on board my knowledge of mum's needs e.g. ground food etc and are warm and attentive to mum. They have also got a good sense of fun, which is important to me & mum.
Prior to the new management being in charge of this home I was horrified with the home and was trying to get Mum moved as soon as possible. I am now seeing an improvement, the atmosphere in the home has very much improved. The decor is improving all the time. The staff understands lots of training and implementation the learning. There are still some users to address but if things continue to improve at the current rate I think this home could get an outstanding review from CQC.
My Father has been a resident since August 2023 and has been cared for well. In recent months he had required physio and help getting to and from appointments at different hospitals which has all been handled well. He enjoys his meals, the care given to him by the staff, and his regular chats with the Nursing Home manager. He feels heard, safe, and well looked after. My brother and I feel fortunate to have our Father so happy and well cared for. Thank you.
Mum receives excellent care. Good support from management when dealing with continuing health care meetings. Nothing is too much trouble for staff when asking for help over something.
The care given is brilliant - all the carers are so good and kind! Great management - nothing is too much trouble and always available if anything needs to be discussed.
Dad has only been at Clumber House for a few weeks, so we're all just settling into an unfamiliar routine. The staff have all been so helpful, and we are very impressed with the overall cleanliness and standard of the home.
My husband has been in Clumber House since September,. What warm and cosy and most of all very caring it’s like being part of an extended family. All the staff give a hundred per cent. I know that my husband is safe, warm and well looked after. Thank you Clumber House.
An absolutely wonderful nursing home. My mum spent the last four weeks of her life at Clumber House Nursing Home. She was so well taken care of, Mum was instantly happy there and welcomed with open arms. The staff are all exceptional. I spent many hours with Mum and made to feel at home, nothing was too much trouble. The home is spotlessly clean.
All staff are very caring and kind. The meals are very good and all prepared and cooked on site. The activities and entertainment seem good although my wife is mainly unable to take part.
I have found the care of my partner sometime very good and other times not good. Some of the staff (carers) are excellent while others are not. Finding your loved one wet through and distressed is upsetting, however, this has been resolved now by getting proper incontinence pads and I think more staff and equipment. The garden and grounds of the nursing home are very poor and difficult to get a wheelchair around.
As the wife of the resident, I find the facilities provided are very good. The food is excellent and the staff are helpful and pleasant. I would like there to be more time given to exercise and brain stimulation.
