Clumber House Care Home

I have nothing bad to say, the Staff at the residence are really polite and helpful. My Mum's room is always clean and tidy. When I first heard my mum needed to be put in full time care I was worried but Clumber House made it really easy for the family.

Mum's health has very much improved since being in the care home. Mum does miss the activity coordinator taking her out etc these past months. Mum does get upset sometimes as staff have come and gone over the years and she doesn't like different staff coming in her room, so it is nice when she sees the same staff.

My elderly mother went to live in Clumber House 6 months ago suffering with anxiety. The nurses and staff have been excellent with her and she is now happy, safe and content. The home is kept lovely and clean and all the staff are approachable, friendly and helpful. I am happy in the knowledge that she is being well taken care of.

I am always kept informed of any changes in her general health and any changes to medication are discussed with me.

Activities are good staff friendly & helpful

Great staff. Very caring staff throughout. Anything requested is never too much trouble for them. All staff are very approachable and helpful if there's any issues wtih my family member who can be extremely difficult to deal with at times.

Very, very friendly and helpful staff. My brother is quite a tricky character, and they've gone above and beyond to support all of his requests and needs. I feel very comfortable and confident that all of my brothers neeeds are being met.

Whilst a temp resident I have found the care from all staff (incl management) to be approachable friendly & above all totally professional in everything they do.

I find the staff very friendly and helpful, when I visit or phone, my brother is always clean and tidy, and his room is nice clean and tidy, and if has any problems with anything like his television the staff are helpful

Staff and management are very kind and helpful. Rooms are good, clean and have plenty of space. Not seen food so can't say the quality.

Staff friendly, met any needs & concerns I've had. Addressed most issues & requests.

He has been cared for well, and I am kept up to date regarding any problems.

My dad is a very awkward person (due of course to his alzheimers/dementia) but the staff are unfailingly kind and patient. I ring every week and staff often try to get my dad to speak with me, the success/failure of this all depends on whether he is willing to speak. Obviously he has some days & some hours better than others.

We found clumber house a friendly place and the are willing to answer any questions or queries we had,they bring dogs with their owners and it brightens residents days,they enjoy and celebrate every occasion and its not aplace where people dont care! its a clean bright happy place.

As a regular visitor I like to know the names of staff. Often they seem to forget to wear their name badges! I have been asking for a gallery on view with names against photos.

Mum was admitted to Clumber House a few weeks ago and was welcomed from the start. Alongside mum, I feel I have been welcomed by all staff and made to feel included. It is nice to hear feedback from staff about mum. Staff have taken on board my knowledge of mum's needs e.g. ground food etc and are warm and attentive to mum. They have also got a good sense of fun, which is important to me & mum.

Prior to the new management being in charge of this home I was horrified with the home and was trying to get Mum moved as soon as possible. I am now seeing an improvement, the atmosphere in the home has very much improved. The decor is improving all the time. The staff understands lots of training and implementation the learning. There are still some users to address but if things continue to improve at the current rate I think this home could get an outstanding review from CQC.

My Father has been a resident since August 2023 and has been cared for well. In recent months he had required physio and help getting to and from appointments at different hospitals which has all been handled well. He enjoys his meals, the care given to him by the staff, and his regular chats with the Nursing Home manager. He feels heard, safe, and well looked after. My brother and I feel fortunate to have our Father so happy and well cared for. Thank you.

Mum receives excellent care. Good support from management when dealing with continuing health care meetings. Nothing is too much trouble for staff when asking for help over something.

The care given is brilliant - all the carers are so good and kind! Great management - nothing is too much trouble and always available if anything needs to be discussed.
