Devonshire House and Devonshire Lodge Care Home

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
I have visited my aunty on a number of occasions before her recent passing. I can honestly say the care and compassion shown to my aunty and us as a family was exemplary.
The care assistants really do care and all seem to really enjoy their jobs. There is a lovely atmosphere in the home. My aunty
never had a bad word to say about anyone there, and also really enjoyed the food.
I would recommend this place to anyone looking for care.
Reply from Melanie Isherwood, Manager at Devonshire House and Devonshire Lodge Care HomeThank you so much for taking the time to review, we totally adored supporting your Aunty here at Devonshire and will all sincerely miss her. Sincere best wishes to you and your family.

My friend is upset at the lack of activities offered by the home.
There appears to be no residents meetings and no minibus available either. Both of which are in your advertising.
You may want to edit your email inviting me to review Bright Meadows. Do you realise it says "we home" instead of "
we hope"

I would like to thank all the staff at Maple Maple Lodge home for the outstanding, amazing care that was given to my nana Rose throughout her time living here; the care didn't go unnoticed by myself and my family. This was a big choice to make for the family on putting her into a care home, but from
the day meeting the staff and going for a look around we just knew this home was the one for my nana, the staff always made time for her and always asked if she wanted to join in on activities that was happening within the home thanks so much for been so supportive 5*

The care and support mam has received from all staff has been excellent, so friendly, nothing is a problem. It is lovely that family can visit any time and receive a warm welcome. Only one negative, food could be served hotter.

Staff always go above and beyond to provide the best possible care for our loved ones. The environment is warm and welcoming it has quickly become not only a safe space for Ann but also for us as a family. Nothing is ever to much trouble and the support and the care we are given as a family is second
to non. We wouldn't have coped the past 12 months without this amazing team around us. We feel reasured and content knowing Ann is safe and looked after but also treated as we would treat her ourselves.

Oak Lodge Care Home

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My wife entered Oak Lodge in July 2025 in order to receive end of life care. She exceeded all expectations and did not pass away until November 2025. My wife, due to medical problems, remained in her room 24/7 and so did not avail herself of the wider facilities of the home. I therefore can only comment
on the care that she did receive during her time there and observations of the residents recreational areas as I passed through. I found the staff fully committed to providing the best care for my wife, particularly towards the end when she was unable to get out of bed, so all personal care was undertaken in bed. My wife did not have much of an appetite and required feeding, but everyone did their best to ensure that she was fed with dignity with food that she wanted. Many staff would do their best to find a few minutes in their day to have a chat with her. When she died many of the staff were visibly upset at her passing.

All the staff are very friendly, and very clean everywhere.
My sister-in-law has been treated with care, now walking again with zimmer frame and is being taken to the toilet. Whenever I go to see her she looks happy and has banter with the carers.
All the reception staff are welcoming.

Treetops Court Care Home

I am LPA to my sister who is resident at Treetops. She has just been move to a lovely, spacious new room, we were informed that this had taken place and were interested to see how she had settled in. On arrival we were informed that my sister had been in bed all day and had refused to get up, also she
hadn't eaten much at all.
On entry into her lovely new room we found food on a bedside table which hadn't been touched and was out of her reach. The table had been placed without any thought, in fact, on closer inspection, it seemed to us that the whole room was laid out for carers convenience and little thought for my sister's wellbeing.
Though the room was big and she had been placed in a corner with the toilet between her and the door to the room, she couldn't see the door or who was coming into her room, neither could she see or interact with anyone passing her door. We ended up drawing a new layout plan and leaving it with the head nurse.
The food was still there when we left.

My mother-in-law spent only 2 weeks at Abigail Lodge before she passed away. During the whole of her stay, she was looked after so well. The staff treated her with dignity and respect and always had a friendly, caring attitude. As a family we were kept up to date with all of her care. The cleaning ladies
kept the home spotless. We had confidence when we left that she was well looked after. Thank you Abigail Lodge.

From the day I met the manager I knew I had to move mum to Madison Court Care Home, where she resided for 3 1/2 years. From day one she was happy, clean, healthy and included. The management and all the staff were outstanding. They do love and a care about their residents. In mums last week she was treated
with the utmost dignity and respect. For example, even though she was dying she was still washed and dressed in clean night clothes every day. The staff when going home came to say their goodbyes, many left in tears, their bond with mum was lovely to see. The care and love given to residents was also given to us through the last, hard week with professionalism and compassion. Madison Court Care Home St.Helens all round 100% outstanding.
Reply from Bernadette Roberts, General manager at Madison Court Care HomeIt was an honour to care for your mum she had the best smile ever, no matter what was going on she had a smile for you. Looking after her was a pleasure, thankyou for trusting us with her care x

My mother recently moved into Fleetwood Heights. What an exceptional home it is. The kindness, care and compassion shown to both my mum and the family has been outstanding.
Hopefully their recent inspection will be testament to this.
I would highly recommend this as a lovely place to live, if home is
no longer an option.

My overall experience with Ty Eirin is outstanding. The care team, management team and kitchen staff are all very welcoming, polite and very helpful. Prior to mams administration she was depressed, wouldn't eat, unable to walk and as if she was giving up. After just two weeks she is a totally a different
person. Happy, interacting, eating and has a smile on her face once again. I would like to say a big thank you to all at Ty Eirin.

Ty Gwynno provides fabulously, stimulating entertainment which all the staff join in and enjoy as much as the residents - happy staff means happy residents.
We moved mum here just over a year ago from another care home and the difference is amazing - only wish we had found Ty Gwynno first. The staff
are first rate and genuinely love the people they care for. They welcome visitors at pretty much any time so what you see is how it is - nothing is just for show.
If I ever need care this is where I would want to stay

I cant thank the entertainment and care staff enough for helping my Mam and three members of her church to share an uplifting and enjoyable visit. Its too difficult for her to get ready and travel to her church as her mobility and transfer, from seat to wheelchair, wheelchair to car and then the reverse,
is very challenging for her. To limit this we often just spend time with her. Usually she's happy to sit with the other residents in the lounge, so we sit there with her if she doesn't want to go to her room.
I checked the visit didn't clash with other activities with care and entertainment teams.
On the day of the visit staff had her sitting comfortably in her room and had kept her company till I got there. Just thinking about doing this or helping me to get her to her room would have been great, but making it special and preparing my Mam for visitors ensured the whole event was personal and special for her. Mam was so happy and engaged. Thank you Northlea

Mum has a difficult time settling in but the staff particularly Glenrose worked so hard to settle her in. It was a very difficult and sad time made so much better by Glenrose and her lovely staff. They are so kind and patient. Today when I arrived mum was waving and smiling and happy and chatty. It
means that I can now leave knowing she is ok. Akarsh and the others are just lovely, Thanks for making mum smile.
