My mum stayed here for 2 weeks respite care after she had been incredibly poorly, 4 weeks in hospital. We were going on holiday and needed somewhere we felt safe leaving her. When she arrived straight from hospital she was almost immobile and not eating. The transformation in just 2 weeks was incredible! When we took he rhome shw was eating 3 meals a day and walking well with a zimmer. Cannot thank the staff enough! Everyone at Woodlands is committed to providing 1st class care for the residents.

Our brother was moved to the Woodlands a few weeks ago. As a family, we were concerned about how he would feel after nearly 3 years in another home, but after visiting him in the new home for the past few weeks, our fears have gone away. The staff have all been first class, very friendly and professional. The home is very clean and beautifully decorated. We were all made to feel very welcome by everyone who worked at the wonderful place.

Our brother was moved from a care home where he had spent the last 2 1/2 years. As a family we were worried about the move, how he would be. But he's very settled. The staff are really nice and as a family we feel very at ease with them all. The Woodlands is lovely, the whole place is lovely.

I honestly cannot speak highly enough about the team at Woodlands. My mum found it really difficult to settle at first and her behaviour at times was quite challenging, but the team have worked so hard at ensuring she felt safe, cared for and accepted and showed so much compassion. She now knows this is home and is really happy there. My dad has now recently moved to the home too. His dementia, especially the hallucinations he experiences, are more difficult to manage. However the team are committed to ensuring Dad feels supported, comfortable and wanted. They continually adjust their approach to supporting him depending on his needs at the time. They have been fantastic. They also recognise me as a carer, and always ask about my wellbeing too which I really appreciate. Thank you for all you do, you are incredible people with a heart of gold xx

My friend & I visit Margaret a lovely lady who has dementia. She was always very active & also helped many other people. We have known Margaret from church & she also lived near us. She always has a lovely smile when we visit. We took photos last week of church, the choir, and many others. She knew many of them & of course its a pleasure to visit & all the lovely helpful staff.

My dad spent six months at Woodlands during one of the most difficult periods of our lives, and the kindness of the team made an immeasurable difference to us all.

The home's layout, divided into smaller areas, felt far more like a family home than a hospital - warm, welcoming and comforting from the start. Every member of staff, day and night, was exceptional. They truly took the time to get to know my dad as a person. We'll always treasure memories of coffees by the caravan in the garden and a sunny sports day filled with laughter. The team closest to him were incredibly organised, understanding and deeply compassionate in their care. During his final week, the end-of-life care was handled so thoughtfully and professionally. We were supported both emotionally and practically, with a bed provided in his room and countless gentle check-ins from staff who had come to know and care about him. I wouldn't hesitate for a moment to highly recommend Woodlands

All the staff are very friendly, and very clean everywhere.
My sister-in-law has been treated with care, now walking again with zimmer frame and is being taken to the toilet. Whenever I go to see her she looks happy and has banter with the carers.

All the reception staff are welcoming.

Woodlands is the best! Our mum has been a resident for almost 2 years on Daisy Hill. The care mum has received from the team has been top notch. Lisa/ Jayne/ Kate and all of the staff have shown mum such patience and affection during the last few years. Although our mum can't communicate well anymore, she can still say I love you, and we know this is because she feels safe and well looked after at Woodlands. Her bedroom is always clean and tidy, clothes washed and hair done. Thank you team - we will always be grateful for the kind hearted and professional culture you have created at Woodlands.

My partner had a stroke in January 25 at this time he went to hospital and I was told he would not survive the weekend, but he proved them wrong and after 2 weeks he returned to Woodlands. However he was not eating and drinking, he was reviewed by a Paramedic from the GP surgery who was excellent with T and myself, she said she was not ready to give up on him yet , and with the care and determination of her and the staff on his unit his recover is unbelievable, his mobility is still poor and he still had thickener in his fluid , he as been revisited by SALT and is now on level 6 diet, he is back to the character he was before, I can't thank them enough,

Woodlands Care Home cannot be faulted. My sister has been a resident there for several years and her care has been excellent. All the members of the Woodlands team treat her and other residents with absolute care and respect. They are genuinely concerned to ensure all her needs are met. They keep me and my relatives fully informed and contact us immediately if there are any concerns. She is always clean, as is the whole home. When she is ill, she is well looked after; when there are health concerns, medical professionals are immediately involved.

Relatives' concerns are dealt with immediately. There are regular meetings where they are free to air any concerns. Policy is often modified as a result of relatives' observations and they are kept informed about any changes. The warmth of the welcome at reception is a true reflection of the Woodlands atmosphere. I would recommend it unreservedly to anybody seeking a suitable home for a loved one.

My mum has been living at Woodlands dementia Care Home for about 18 months now. She is very settled and very well cared for. The staff are excellent, very professional as well as friendly and approachable. All mums' needs are anticipated and met well. We are very happy with how mum is looked after day to day. It was my first visit after my friend admitted the previous day. I was helped with the booking in system and directed up to the 1st floor. My friend appeared well cared for and was supervised by staff unobtrusively. She seemed much herself and settled in the new environment. It was clean and homely. Lovely gardens noted through the window and look forwards to enjoying them in fine weather.

My husband went to live in the home in April 2025. I have found the staff and management to be helpful and reassuring while my husband settled in.
I have observed that the staff are very kind and caring to the residents and treat them as individuals and with respect.

My husband does not have a big appetite, but the food has been excellent and varied and everyone is catered for,.

My sister is well cared for in Woodlands. Although her Alzheimer's has progressed, every effort is made by carers to satisfy her needs.
If I have criticism it is that sometimes there doesn't seem enough staff to facilitate all needs. Activities are good but again it seems some residents need more to occupy them.

Overall I'm happy with the care my sister receives
