From the first day mum moved into Ty Eirin instantly you get a homely feeling I cannot praise all the staff enough. Mum is very happy she now tells me she is well cared for safe, warm and well fed. Mum joins in the activities especially boxercise at 97 I think this is wonderful.
What a difference
in mum now she has people around her 24 hours a day.
The care home always has time to speak to me and keeps me updated; amazing Ty Eirin and all the staff there.

Ty Gwynno is much more than a Care Home,it is a place where the residents feel safe and cared for.All the staff go over and above their duties ,whether it's cleaners, laundry staff, maintenance, kitchen staff, carers or nurses. They are so friendly and caring. Visitors are made to feel welcome and kept
well informed about their loved ones progress. The home from home is very well maintained and they are always adding new features to enhance the home for the residents. Ty Gwynno is a happy place and the staff seem to enjoy working there, which in turn makes it a happy place for the residents. Thank you for taking care of our family members so well.
Reply from Rebecca Harkus, Home Manager at Ty Gwynno Care HomeThank you Sylvia for a lovely review. My overall experience with Ty Eirin is outstanding. The care team, management team and kitchen staff are all very welcoming, polite and very helpful. Prior to mams administration she was depressed, wouldn't eat, unable to walk and as if she was giving up. After just two weeks she is a totally a different
person. Happy, interacting, eating and has a smile on her face once again. I would like to say a big thank you to all at Ty Eirin.

Ty Gwynno provides fabulously, stimulating entertainment which all the staff join in and enjoy as much as the residents - happy staff means happy residents.
We moved mum here just over a year ago from another care home and the difference is amazing - only wish we had found Ty Gwynno first. The staff
are first rate and genuinely love the people they care for. They welcome visitors at pretty much any time so what you see is how it is - nothing is just for show.
If I ever need care this is where I would want to stay

We travelled down from Nottinghamshire to visit my long time friend, a resident of Ty Gwynno, on her birthday. As always, we were made most welcome by the lovely staff. The home was warm, welcoming and relaxed. My friend was looking her old happy self, settled and comfortable. A lovely afternoon
tea had been provided to celebrate the birthday, taken in a small private lounge area. Excellent. We continue to be impressed by the care and attention shown towards the residents, friends and families.

I cannot praise this care home Ty Eirin enough. From the first day my dad went there all the staff were amazing. They were kind, warm, and understanding. The staff there are worth their weight in gold. Admin staff also always had a cheery wave when you walked in.
We could not have cared for our father
anymore than the staff on the wards.
Everyone was there for not just our dad but also us as a family. Thank you.

Having worked in adult social care for over 30 years, I have considerable professional as well as personal experience of care homes. Ty Gwynno ranks up there with the best homes I have visited.
Good continuity of staff means consistent understanding of resident needs and also the ability to anticipate
requirements of those with dementia. I sense a positive atmosphere, with people seeming genuinely engaged and I am impressed with the varied activities on offer.

All of the staff at Ty Gwynno provide the most fantastic care for all of the residents and make the home such a happy and wonderful environment.
They provide a 'home' when residents can't be home any longer, and it's such a weight off your mind during such a difficult time.
The care is evident in
each and every member of staff and through all of the activities that they provide and how well kept the home is

Absolutely adore this place, all the staff go above and beyond and are all amazing. My father is very happy here, extremely cared for and well looked after. They work hard at keeping his mind very active with varied activities, daily games, quizzes, outdoor activities, singing and discussion's. There
is also a huge range of entertainment which is always exceptional. I would highly recommend the care home to any family looking for a home for their loved ones. Ty Gwynno is clean, warm and welcoming, making it feel like home from home.

My partners auntie is a resident at Ty Eirin and I could not be happier with the care that she receives. The staff clearly know her well and have taken the time to do so. She recently lost her husband and the support she received at the time and is continuing to recieve has been incredible. Staff members
even attended the funeral on their day off to show support. Managers ensured that she was able to attend the funeral. It is incredibly reassuring to know how well cared for she is.

What a clean & welcoming home from home. I have never seen our friend so settled in any place other than in his own home. Having reluctantly & nervously placed him for respite, we are now considering placement permanently. The care staff on Blue Harbour have been exceptional in the way they communicate
with him & have gone out of their way to get to know his little ways. Ty Eirin has filled us with confidence. As a nurse myself, I am not easily impressed, but staff are inspirational in their drive for care & compassion.

What an amazing place Ty Eirin is. I had to make the very difficult decision for my dad to come into this care home for respite care. I have always been determined that I would be the only person to look after dad, but after our experience here, I have decided that this is where I want dad to be cared
for permanently. The staff on Blue Harbour are amazing and go above and beyond. They care for Dad just as I would, if not better, and I will be forever grateful to them all.

My Aunty has recently become a resident at Ty Eirin.
I haven't been inside a residential retirement home for many years and was delighted to find my Aunty in a lovely light and airy day room taking part in a quiz.
My mother and myself did a little wander to my Aunty's room before finding her and
all the staff we encountered were really pleasant and helpful and all were aware of who my Aunty was and where she was likely to be located and directing/taking us to her.
Ty Eirin has a friendly, homely feel.
The residents rooms looked spacious and clean as did the dining area where we were able to make ourselves and my Aunty a coffee.
We were joined by two other residents and all ended up sitting around one table having a chat.
It was such a pleasant visit.
Thank you.

Ty Gwynno is a place of love and support. My husband has been here for 5 years now and during that time I have found the staff very caring and welcoming. They go out of their way to make our grandchildren feel at ease and welcome and now Ty Gwynno has added a play area for the children with lots of
lovely toys and books. There is always something going on and regular different entertainment for the residents and families to enjoy .Like most people we found having to put a loved one in a nursing home very difficult, but it was the best decision we made when we picked Ty Gwynno.

As anyone who has had to make the agonising/anxious decision to have a loved one move to residential care, it is overwhelming. Ty Eirin Care Home's staff have made such a massive positive impression on our first visit, the true test is how our loved one settled in and is now very happy in their surroundings
and the care they receive from the brilliant carers, which in turn makes the rest of the family happy. Thank you.
