Having to make the unbearable decision for mum to go into a care home l now know it was the right thing to do. TY EIRIN is absolutely amazing. Everyone from office staff, cleaners, catering, maintenance, to the caring loving staff on "Restbay" You immediately see how happy residents and staff are.
After
a very short period mum has made friends, joins activities, is safe and well cared for. At 97 mum has found a new lease of life.
From the bottom of my heart a huge Thank You to all at Ty Eirin

Having worked in adult social care for over 30 years, I have considerable professional as well as personal experience of care homes. Ty Gwynno ranks up there with the best homes I have visited.
Good continuity of staff means consistent understanding of resident needs and also the ability to anticipate
requirements of those with dementia. I sense a positive atmosphere, with people seeming genuinely engaged and I am impressed with the varied activities on offer.

All of the staff at Ty Gwynno provide the most fantastic care for all of the residents and make the home such a happy and wonderful environment.
They provide a 'home' when residents can't be home any longer, and it's such a weight off your mind during such a difficult time.
The care is evident in
each and every member of staff and through all of the activities that they provide and how well kept the home is

Absolutely adore this place, all the staff go above and beyond and are all amazing. My father is very happy here, extremely cared for and well looked after. They work hard at keeping his mind very active with varied activities, daily games, quizzes, outdoor activities, singing and discussion's. There
is also a huge range of entertainment which is always exceptional. I would highly recommend the care home to any family looking for a home for their loved ones. Ty Gwynno is clean, warm and welcoming, making it feel like home from home.

My partners auntie is a resident at Ty Eirin and I could not be happier with the care that she receives. The staff clearly know her well and have taken the time to do so. She recently lost her husband and the support she received at the time and is continuing to recieve has been incredible. Staff members
even attended the funeral on their day off to show support. Managers ensured that she was able to attend the funeral. It is incredibly reassuring to know how well cared for she is.

What a clean & welcoming home from home. I have never seen our friend so settled in any place other than in his own home. Having reluctantly & nervously placed him for respite, we are now considering placement permanently. The care staff on Blue Harbour have been exceptional in the way they communicate
with him & have gone out of their way to get to know his little ways. Ty Eirin has filled us with confidence. As a nurse myself, I am not easily impressed, but staff are inspirational in their drive for care & compassion.

What an amazing place Ty Eirin is. I had to make the very difficult decision for my dad to come into this care home for respite care. I have always been determined that I would be the only person to look after dad, but after our experience here, I have decided that this is where I want dad to be cared
for permanently. The staff on Blue Harbour are amazing and go above and beyond. They care for Dad just as I would, if not better, and I will be forever grateful to them all.

I've said this before - I just wish we had put my mum in law in Ty Gwynno at the start of her care home journey . She has gone from a lonely unhappy lady to one who is constantly stimulated and encouraged to join in activities . She always looks nice and I have never ever witnessed her being treated
other than with the utmost respect and care . Plus affection as she loves to hold hands . As are all the residents . It surely must be the very best care home in Wales . The patience and fortitude of the staff shines through always . Cannot thank you all enough for the constancy and excellent care provided - special shout out to the activities co-ordinator who is a pocket rocket and amazing lady .

My Aunty has recently become a resident at Ty Eirin.
I haven't been inside a residential retirement home for many years and was delighted to find my Aunty in a lovely light and airy day room taking part in a quiz.
My mother and myself did a little wander to my Aunty's room before finding her and
all the staff we encountered were really pleasant and helpful and all were aware of who my Aunty was and where she was likely to be located and directing/taking us to her.
Ty Eirin has a friendly, homely feel.
The residents rooms looked spacious and clean as did the dining area where we were able to make ourselves and my Aunty a coffee.
We were joined by two other residents and all ended up sitting around one table having a chat.
It was such a pleasant visit.
Thank you.

Ty Gwynno is a place of love and support. My husband has been here for 5 years now and during that time I have found the staff very caring and welcoming. They go out of their way to make our grandchildren feel at ease and welcome and now Ty Gwynno has added a play area for the children with lots of
lovely toys and books. There is always something going on and regular different entertainment for the residents and families to enjoy .Like most people we found having to put a loved one in a nursing home very difficult, but it was the best decision we made when we picked Ty Gwynno.

As anyone who has had to make the agonising/anxious decision to have a loved one move to residential care, it is overwhelming. Ty Eirin Care Home's staff have made such a massive positive impression on our first visit, the true test is how our loved one settled in and is now very happy in their surroundings
and the care they receive from the brilliant carers, which in turn makes the rest of the family happy. Thank you.

Ty Gwynno is an amazing home for my mother & the other residents. It is one big happy family, where residents are treated as individuals with their own unique personalities, interests & needs.
Staff ensure that my mother has opportunities to speak Welsh; helping with Welsh Wednesdays. Activities are
innovative, varied, regular & support residents' well-being. There are strong links with the local school & the children visit termly. The staff lead quizzes, games and numerous singers & bands visit regularly. There are a range of stimulating areas where families can spend time together & provide a change of scene, including the a renovated caravan & attractive gardens.
Staff give personalised care, mention my mother's home village, make her feel special & 'one of the girls'. They epitomise person-centred care. The nursing care is also excellent & proactive to support best health outcomes. I could not have found a better home for my mother. Diolch to an amazing team!

The staff on the nursing ward were wonderful. 10/10 on the medication.
It would improve the health and well-being of patients if the outside gardens were kept better. Especially the garden furniture, which was dirty.
My husband was very well looked after there for respite and would go back.

I visit a lady at Ty Eirin daily, and at different times of the day . When I arrive at reception I'm greeted with a friendly smile & wave. The staff on Rest Bay are always friendly and welcoming , they try to encourage everyone to participate in the many activities provided . The laundry is collected
daily and returned the next day . The lady I visit has told me many times that the staff are very kind and look after her well.

My Mother arrived at Ty Gwynno in December the staff are exceptional, caring, friendly and professional.
She has taken time to settle in and has said she is very happy. This is remarkable for someone who has always resisted any type of help.
They encourage residents to engage in activities which are
very varied. Recently children from the local school came at Easter to sing with their beautiful Easter Bonnets.
Well done to all the staff who have worked so hard to make Mum feel at home.
