Mum needed short term palliative care very quickly and unexpectedly. We turned up unannounced to get a feel of the place and interrupted a 99th birthday party. The Manager, Val, summarised their ethos as "no chandeliers but lots of love": this proved to be very true. We could visit any time and were always made to feel welcome. They tried very hard to give her food she could eat and they kept the cups of tea coming for us. They helped us rearrange the room so she could see passers by inside and outside. Her end of life care was considerate and caring, she was treated with great dignity on and after death. We are very grateful.

My mum at 81 had just lost her husband and had been discharged from Hospital after a week in isolation with the Flu. I cannot thank the staff enough for their compassion and care which they showed my mum, especially the home manager and another specific staff member who went over and above what they needed too, to make my mum feel so special, loved and cared for. All of the staff were marvellous and caring and just overwhelmed myself and my family with the care which they gave. One staff member in particular often got my mum to join in with the social side of the home, playing games with other residents and although she could not wait to get back home, she felt very safe, loved and cared for while she was in the care of the Warrior Park Care Home.

I can't fault Warrior Peak Care Home. The manager has a wealth of experience. All the staff work extremely hard. The carers are wonderful, the nurses are very experienced. The administration are very good. Mam doesn't eat now, as she feeds through a peg, but they bring her regular drinks. It is an outstanding place for care. Thank you so very much.

My brother had complex care needs and could not always communicate those needs. Management and staff quickly got to know how to read my brother and cope with those needs. My brother came from a loving family and looking for a care home for him, Warrior Park ticked all the boxes. Warrior Park continued to give him all the love and care. If anyone was to ask, I would recommend Warrior Park to look after their relative, as management and staff give 100% to residents and family.

My wife spent 4 weeks in the care home as her health sadly deteriorated until she passed away. The staff were very professional and were kind and empathetic when caring for my wife. It has been a very difficult time for our family and we are always made to feel welcome when visiting. The manager went out of her way to help us deal with our situation. The room and facilities were first class and I would recommend this home to anyone in search of a care home.

Staff are friendly and approachable. Manager and deputy manager on hand to answer any queries/issues.

The food seems nice and lots of choices. Room cleaning could be more thorough especially the carpet and resident showers should be regular. Laundry is not always returned, so lots of items missing. Overall though a lovely home and my dad is happy which is the main thing. His medical needs are looked after.

My brother passed away on the 1st of November 2023. The care attention and nursing given to my brother by all at Warrior Park Care Home was outstanding. He had many complicated health issues that required constant nursing care. All delivered with a smile, chat, banter and loving care. From when he entered Warrior Park he felt at home and endeared himself to all the staff which was reciprocated. My sisters and I will be forever grateful to all the staff who guided us through some very traumatic times. We could not have got through without them.

Overall Experience
My nana was sadly only a resident for four short weeks before cancer claimed her. However, as family, we cannot thank Warrior Park Care Home enough for what they did for her.
The carers were exceptional, nothing was too much trouble, no matter how many of them it took to move her. Their patience never wavered and neither did their smiles.
Nursing staff gave us great confidence in their ability to control her pain and never shied from calling in the matron or GP as appropriate.
The kitchen team were superb and the food was amazing - giving Nana some absolutely lovely meal times in the dining room.
She was also very fond of the cleaning team which, given her high standards, shows just how hard they worked.
The living room is fabulous - a real home from home and allowed us to spend quality time together there or in the lovely garden.
All our problems were easily overcome or fixed, be it broken televisions, needing a walker or just some tender loving care as we battled with her condition.

Highly recommended.

Review of Warrior Park Care Home from John T (Son of Resident) published on 24 August 2022 Submitted via Website

A huge thank you to all the staff and residents at Warrior Park, who have made such an effort to support my mum following her debilitating stroke. This support and care are also being extended to my wider family especially my dad who at 85 still tries to visit her every day.
Despite her predicament, we manage to have a good laugh every visit and love the fact that each member of staff takes time to interact with her along with some of the other residents.
My sister and I were a bit overwhelmed with some of the decisions we were suddenly forced to make and again we can only thank the staff at Warrior Park for explaining everything to us and helping make this process a whole lot easier.

My only complaint is that my mum tends to chase us away at meal times which means the food must be good.

I visited my step mum with my cousin on 20/07/22. We travel 2.5 hours, so visits are not frequent. However, they are more often since my father passed away earlier this month. I have been very impressed with the support my step mum has received and indeed my father when he visited regularly before he passed away. Since arriving in the home a few months ago, my step mum has received excellent care. I ring most days and am always greeted with kindness. All the staff are a credit. Thank you.

My mother has been a resident in Warrior Park since February 2022 when she was discharged from the hospital. She has improved, both physically and mentally, since coming to the home. I have seen improvements in her every time I visit. The staff are friendly and have established a good relationship with my mum.

Can't recommend this home enough! After a bad experience with two other homes, the staff are fantastic - keep us, as a family, informed and go above and beyond to make sure my mum is being given the very best care possible.

My aunt has lived in the home for the last three years and has been very well looked after and I can't fault her care. I found the room really big and very clean. The staff are all friendly and very helpful. I felt really safe and secure here and found that I could sleep better than I could at home. There is always someone to talk to. One thing is for sure, I could never feel down because everybody is so happy and that makes me feel alright because I suffer from depression.
