First my mother for 3 years in the 1990's, then my husband last year, now a good friend have all been at Oak Lodge. The outstanding quality here is care + nursing provided. The staff are always cheerful + make real friends with their charges. The rooms are not ideal, however one or two are larger. The food seems pleasant and varied. Mostly I greatly admire the infinite cheerfulness and patience of the carers.

I am writing this a week after my mother died. She had been at Oak Lodge for five and a half years and gradually deteriorated due to her suffering from dementia and Alzheimer's. As a family we felt confident that she was well looked after and appreciated that we could visit at any time without warning. We also appreciated the continuity of many of the staff, good for the residents and also a sign that the place is running well. The deputy manager particularly gave me a sense of confidence, together with the nursing staff and carers.

Always a warm welcome @ Gotton manor, ALL staff are kind and caring they do their best to provide care & comfort to my Dad & others . Management have been so supportive & responsive when contacted . Nursing staff are Great we are kept updated regularly , care staff work hard to provide care and Dads needs are met Activity staff are superb , inclusive of individual needs & great 1-1 support to get everyone involved. Food is always of good quality & my father enjoys his meals . I would highly recommend Gotton they are one happy family- Thankyou to everyone , we appreciate all you do for our Dad & us!

The carers and nurses are always quick to put thing into action if we have any concerns or queries.

My dear friend and resident of Oak Lodge is cared for with kindness and professionalism. The staff and management all work to make her residency the best possible experience and are adapting her care to meet her needs as they change. The care staff are hardworking, happy and positive around her and this makes a huge difference in her life, living at Oak Lodge. Thank you to everyone for all you are doing.

Mum moved into Gotton at the beginning of July. Her stay in a previous temporary placement was not great but Gotton has been a completely different experience. As a family, we have all been impressed with the care mum has been shown by all the staff. It's clear that everyone there really does 'care'.

I have been very impressed with the standard of care at Oak Lodge, from the management, the nursing staff, the cleaners and the auxiliaries. Everyone is so kind and caring to both the residents and relatives/visitors; nothing is ever too much trouble. Ten out of ten,

The daily activities on offer are brilliant and surprisingly he has joined in and really enjoys them. The whole experience of his stay here so far is nothing but positive and my family and I cannot thank the staff enough for their kindness, support and ongoing care.

Fantastic care home nothing is to much trouble for the staff they really care and look after the residents so well , the home is spotless and everyone has a smile ,the food looks fantastic ,a home that really cares about people's well being

Mum has been resident following discharge from hospital after a fall. The compassion and patience everyone has given her has been second to none as dementia causes her to be difficult at times. The home is very clean and all staff members are efficient, friendly and keen to help in any way. I have been made very welcome on all occasions when visiting. Well done all.

I am sister to an elderly resident and have found the staff to caring, helpful and good humoured oth to my sister and to me as a visitor. To have to come into care was a great shock and the staff have meant that my sister has settled well into this lovely environment. he admin staff have been particularly helpful to me.

Dad has settled into life @ Gotton Manor very well, my mother who lives on her own enjoys the visits to see dad, her husband. We find all members of staff to be care, kind and considerate and particularly enjoy playing cards with the residents and staff. All in all a very time establishment. My family thanks you for your great efforts. Wish it was cheaper though!

Absolute perfection,,,,,,,really! , there is nothing that I can moan about or criticise, both management and all staff are great, always there if needed, monitoring every situation that is going on, very clean all around, always music playing which residents enjoy very much, well and me, everyone seems to hold an upbeat attitude, no matter what day I call in, a safe and incredibly caring environment, and they make a great coffee!

My mum has been at Gotton Manor for about 11 months who the staff are like family to her, so I don't have to worry about her I know she is well looked after.

Dad was at Gotton Manor for two and a half years. He quickly settled in, and joined in with activities. When we saw him, he was always happy. The staff were always very friendly and happy to help. He had excellent care, right up to the very end. I would recommend This nursing/care home, as both sides were very caring and very welcoming. He always talked highly of the staff.

Dad came into Oak Lodge on 26/02/2026. So far everything has run very smoothly. The care Dad has received has been excellent. The management has been extremely helpful and kind. Every member of staff ahve been very caring towards Dad and Mum and myself.

Our Dad unfortunately needed full time care. As daughters we all found the change quite difficult to deal with, as I'm sure many others do! Gotten Manors support with ourselves as well as our Dad was exceptional, we had supportive advice, care and understanding. Our Dad settled in with time, and now embraces the carers and other residents. He's always aloud to make his own choices, they encourage with care and compassion. Gotton Manor has been extremely helpful in providing accommodation to both my mother and aunty. The building is old and creaky but this more than made up for by the courtesy and care of the staff and the cleanliness of the rooms. After being there a week my Mum's laundry hadn't been collected despite my asking several times.
