Absolutely wonderful care home. Every member of staff is welcoming, professional and caring. Lots of activities for the residents to join in. The food is wonderful and the rooms are lovely. I'm so glad Dad got a place here, he loves it and we feel relaxed as he's getting the care he deserves.

After much research, my dad arrived at Fleetwood Heights in mid August 2025, after a couple of months in hospital with a broken shoulder.
My dad was then in his 12th year since being diagnosed with Alzheimer's. He also had skin cancer.
He had his own room with shower room and all the equipment he
needed was provided. The treatment and care he has received at Fleetwood Heights has far exceeded my expectations. The staff have been absolutely excellent.
My dad began to deteriorate in November 2025 and his care changed from residential to nursing.
As his condition deteriorated through December the nurses initiative, communication and thoughtfulness for my dad's situation was more than I could have asked for. I have been so very impressed.
In January he entered the end of life stage and Fleetwood Heights with Palliative care helped my dad be comfortable in the final weeks and days.
If I was in the same situation again, I would choose Fleetwood Heights again. A true 5 star service!

Care is excellent, staff are friendly and caring; there is a wide variety of food options and portion sizes are varied according to appetite, there are activities available to interact but residents can spend time in their own rooms which are well decorated, I would fully recommend.

I have been extremely impressed with the care I have received at the home. Anything I have requested has been dealt with as promptly as possible. Without using names, the staff have been absolutely brilliant and all done with a smile. I have also found plenty of laughter to lighten your time here.

I wanted to echo the many comments on here praising the care provided by Harrogate Lodge. My father lived at Harrogate Lodge for 18 months before he passed away in November. Throughout his time there, he received excellent medical care from kind and caring staff who genuinely looked after him with compassion
and professionalism. What particularly stood out was the one-to-one attention he received, especially when he became very poorly. Staff took the time to help him with feeding and other personal care needs, never rushing and always maintaining his dignity. The attention to detail in every aspect of his care was evident, and it gave us great comfort knowing he was being looked after so well. The support extended to our family too. Staff were always available to answer questions, keep us informed, and help us through what was a very difficult time. The overall atmosphere was one of genuine kindness and care, which made an enormous difference to both my father and to us.

Excellent staff looked after Mum after a stay in hospital. Everyone here goes above and beyond to help not just Mum but Dad and all the family too. Sympathetic and treat you with care, kindness and dignity. All the staff's hard work made it possible for Mum to come home after three weeks. Huge, huge

My father was a resident at Harrogate Lodge for 2 years until his passing in September 2025. I was unable to visit very often as I live in the States , but whenever I did I was always impressed first and foremost by the kindness of all the staff. The carers all looked after him with dignity and respect
and I always felt that he was well looked after. Another wonderful aspect of the home are the number and variety of activities provided for the residents, including outings to local restaurants etc. I also really appreciated the social media posts with all the many photos.
The outpouring of love from the staff for my father and towards the family meant so much for us.

Mum was given rehabilitation care here following a three week stay in Leeds General Infirmary after a fall and breaking her hip in May 2025. I have nothing but the highest praise for all staff and management at Harrogate Lodge. Mum was only in their care for three weeks, but it was excellent throughout.
Her room was lovely and homely. The physiotherapy team were so kind and considerate to my Mum and worked really hard with her to encourage her to mobilise and recover. Knowing she was in good hands was a great comfort to me as I lived many miles away. All the staff were never too busy to communicate with me and always listened when I needed to change things slightly as time went by. Sadly, in spite of all the team's efforts, Mum didn't want to engage and was transferred onwards to a nursing home, in which she has since passed away. I cannot thank everyone at Harrogate Lodge enough for all the kindness, and support they gave me and my Mum during a very difficult and worrying time.

My dad has been in the home since June of this year
Dad was given his Vascular Dementia at the beginning of the year. From the moment we were shown round my mum & I were made to feel so welcome . Dad is settled and in the care of a team of wonderful staff who are kind, compassionate and nothing is
too much trouble.
A team of people who do an extremely hard demanding job but do it with kindness a smile and make a hard decision to put dad in a home an easier one. Look beyond the bricks and mortar it's what's on the inside that counts and what is on the inside is a lovely lovely home

My mother has been in HL for nearly 4 years against all the odds.
She is always treated with respect and dignity despite her outbursts of violent behaviour towards the staff.
It is important to say that as POA my wishes for her are also respected and complied with compassion and care.
When I chose
HL for mum it was just satisfactory - now due to competent leadership and management it is an outstanding facility for my mother.
The staff are great, the cook, the cleaners the nursing and care staff and anyone else I have forgotten. Keep up the good work.

My mum as been in Fleetwood heights for nearly 2 weeks a few teething problems but in general cant fault it the staff are all so friendly they go out of there way to help her her room is spotless the food is mitchlen star quality any issues get sorted straight away I would highly recommend Fleetwood

My experience with Fleetwood Heights, what not to say! An absolutely warm welcome on arrival. The staff all came to meet and greet her and unbelievably so helpful. For me I was able to leave and go on holiday with the knowledge she was in safe hands. The same can be said on my arrival to collect her.
On both occasions I was able to see that the building was very impressive and felt secure. Mum's experience whilst I was away, she loved it ,she loved the size of the bed, the room and bathroom. She loved the fact that she could walk to both gardens, she loved the food and even took up knitting again. Would she go again, in a heart beat. I just need a find another holiday to go on.

Through to quite short notice as a family, we had to find a care home for my mother. We looked at various care homes within our location and was then advised via a friend to go take a look at Fleetwood Heights. Contacted the care home and spoke to a lovely lady who arranged a viewing and introductory
tour of the home. What a lovely welcoming lady, no pressure talking, just polite clear talking, factual information with regards to home and also very clear on responsibility, safe guarding and the functionality of day to day running. The home is spotless after recent refurbishment, all rooms are immaculate, was also introduced to the day staff and evening staff, what a great team, nice to see lovely smiling faces, all switched on with regards to caring for all elderly residents, just made so much of a difference to support one of the most difficult decisions we made as a family.

My mother in law has been in this home for a number of years. She has had Alzheimer's for approximately 7 years. Her care at this home has far excelled our expectations. The staff, management, nurses etc are all excellent. They provide activities to keep residents entertained and cared for. The appearance
may not be a 5 star hotel but the care is. When her first home said they couldn't meet her needs the manager listened to us, understood what my mother in laws needs were and saw that she was bored. They have continued to be brilliant with the family and her as a resident. I would recommend here for great care. They are walk, clean, well fed and entertained.
Don't be fooled by anywhere that looks like a 5 star hotel. Look beyond and see the care being given, it's what your loved one needs, not the furnishings.

affordable cost. A modern luxury and spacious purpose built care home in Halifax, W.Y. Offering views of Greetland town and hilly countryside. Under New Management-Harbour Health Care. It has been completed to its full renovation. Rooms are en-suite and spacious. Hair dressing and wellness facilities.
The doors are open, It had been registered with CQC and are so excited to start their vibrant community with new residents moving in soon! I went to Harrogate Lodge for extra rehabilitation after a hip replacement because my mobility was very limited due to also needing a knee replacement in due course, I was very surprised as to how supportive and interested in my well being most of the staff were, they were a lot of long term staff who
really enjoyed their jobs which made a stay here relaxing and made my recovery easier. If I need extra support when I have my knee done, I would hope to return to Harrogate Lodge. Knowing I will be looked after. Thank you so much to all.

My dad has been in this care home after experiencing dreadful, neglectful and safeguarding issues at a previous care home. My family and I are very happy with the care Dad receives. We go at least 3 times a week, at different times and never felt concerned about Dad's care and wellbeing. Residents are
frequently provided with a variety of snacks and refreshments. Dad's presentation is good. The only things that seems to lack is stimulation/activities.

My elderly mother spent nearly three weeks at Harrogate Lodge. Unable to walk when she arrived, she was very unhappy and scared; she was very quickly made to feel safe and cared for. Nurses ensured her pain relief and other medication was safely administered and Harrogate Lodge staff worked very well
with hospital staff. She received a lot of physio and was soon able to walk again. All staff were kind, helpful and professional, they encouraged her to socialise and regain confidence, they were all delighted with her progress.
