As a family we were very worried and nervous about my grandma having to go into nursing care, everybody knows that nursing homes get a bad rep but wow, what a nice surprise and huge relief! The care staff have been wonderful, always really welcoming. The nurses on Grandma's unit go above and beyond,
we can't thank the staff on summer unit enough. Grandma has settled really well. Thank you to Julie, the home manager, for meeting with our family to put all of our worries to bed and being so welcoming and understanding. We appreciate how above and beyond you went for us! It is truly terrifying putting a loved one in care for the first time and we couldn't be happier knowing how well cared for she is. The place is clean, bright and homely. My grandma can be a stern woman so seeing her with a smile and saying wonderful things about the staff is amazing! Thanks everyone so much, I enjoy my weekly visits. Keep up the great work!
Reply from Julie Valentine, Home Manager at Bright Meadows Care HomeThankyou so much for this review, i am so pleased that all the family feel that your grandma is well looked after. I will pass this on to the team as i am sure they will appreciate being noticed for the care they do. And thankyou from myself it is a pleasure to care for your Grandma and speak with you all.

Our brother was moved to the Woodlands a few weeks ago. As a family, we were concerned about how he would feel after nearly 3 years in another home, but after visiting him in the new home for the past few weeks, our fears have gone away. The staff have all been first class, very friendly and professional.
The home is very clean and beautifully decorated. We were all made to feel very welcome by everyone who worked at the wonderful place.

Our brother was moved from a care home where he had spent the last 2 1/2 years. As a family we were worried about the move, how he would be. But he's very settled. The staff are really nice and as a family we feel very at ease with them all. The Woodlands is lovely, the whole place is lovely.

The care my father has received is practically non existent due to severe lack of staff. He has pressed the buzzer on numerous occasions for help going to the toilet and has wet himself so many times in just over a week. I have had to help him myself when visiting and so has my mother. The rooms are
basic with no decent facilities and not even a tv. Considering we are paying £1700 per WEEK, this is just not good enough. Sadly I don't think my father has long left and I will be making a serious complaint in the future as frankly the care he is receiving, or lack of, is disgusting.
Reply from Management Team at Bright Meadows Care HomeWe are very sorry to read about your father’s experience and the distress this has caused both him and your family. What you have described is deeply concerning and certainly not the standard of care we aim to provide.
We understand how upsetting it must have been to witness your father waiting for assistance and we sincerely apologise for the occasions where his needs were not responded to promptly. We also appreciate your concerns regarding staffing levels and the facilities provided during his stay.
Please be assured that we take feedback of this nature extremely seriously. We would welcome the opportunity to speak with you directly so we can fully investigate your concerns and address them appropriately. Our priority is always the dignity, comfort, and wellbeing of every resident and we regret that you feel we have fallen short in your father’s case.
Please contact the home manager at your convenience so we can discuss this matter further and work towards a resolution.
We wish you and your family strength during this very difficult time.

Seems to be getting better ,There have been massive improvements i dont know how often the residents had a shower before but what ever it was it has improved .
I dont know about the food i dont eat it so i cant comment .And hallelujah they have a proper entertainments officer i used to despair at the
way residents were just sat slumped in a chair staring at the wall at least now some one is trying to and is motivating the residents .

I honestly cannot speak highly enough about the team at Woodlands. My mum found it really difficult to settle at first and her behaviour at times was quite challenging, but the team have worked so hard at ensuring she felt safe, cared for and accepted and showed so much compassion. She now knows this
is home and is really happy there. My dad has now recently moved to the home too. His dementia, especially the hallucinations he experiences, are more difficult to manage. However the team are committed to ensuring Dad feels supported, comfortable and wanted. They continually adjust their approach to supporting him depending on his needs at the time. They have been fantastic. They also recognise me as a carer, and always ask about my wellbeing too which I really appreciate. Thank you for all you do, you are incredible people with a heart of gold xx

My mother has been a resident at Peel Moat for eighteen months. Staff members are friendly and caring and keep me updated as to my mothers condition. The care home is clean and security is taken seriously. Visitors are very welcome and residents are treated with dignity and respect. We chose Peel Moat
as two neighbours had prior experience with their parents being residents and it has fully lived up to our expectations.

My dad spent six months at Woodlands during one of the most difficult periods of our lives, and the kindness of the team made an immeasurable difference to us all.
The home's layout, divided into smaller areas, felt far more like a family home than a hospital - warm, welcoming and comforting from the
start. Every member of staff, day and night, was exceptional. They truly took the time to get to know my dad as a person. We'll always treasure memories of coffees by the caravan in the garden and a sunny sports day filled with laughter. The team closest to him were incredibly organised, understanding and deeply compassionate in their care. During his final week, the end-of-life care was handled so thoughtfully and professionally. We were supported both emotionally and practically, with a bed provided in his room and countless gentle check-ins from staff who had come to know and care about him. I wouldn't hesitate for a moment to highly recommend Woodlands
